⭐️OPEN TO ALL⭐️

Following on from ⭐️LOSE IT!⭐️Fit & Fabulous February 2025⭐️

Let’s keep the momentum going in Move it More in March!

To reach optimum health and vitality (as well as a slim bod) we need to focus not only on our food intake; but movement, our mental health and sleep quality too!

Who doesn’t want to feel good and energetic as well looking great! Get on board to reset & refresh and become a healthier version of yourself.

These threads are for those who’d like to lose weight and those who wish to maintain whilst eating a healthy varied diet.

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We generally have WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable).

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and generally eat twice a day. Im a long time healthy eater and overall I’ve lost over 3 stone. After having been on the wrong side of 12st Im now hovering around 9st 2lbs.

Are you in😊 What food plan will you be following? What do you want to change and why?

Joined this in February but didn't get into it at all! Actually gained! Had a lot going on but no excuses this month. Really want to get myself in order before another summer of feeling meh about myself! A few years ago I was just below 10stone and felt fantastic. I'm 5ft 7. Think I'm likely perimenopause. Definitely don't have the same metabolism I used to have.
So.. CW 11st 2.5lbs
GW 10 st

Ethiopianflower · 02/03/2025 00:16

Thanks for creating the new thread. The January and February ones have helped me so much. This week has been a complete disaster for me and I have tumbled off the wagon into a pit of biscuits, sweets and crisps. The wagon is now a dot on the horizon but am going to chase it down and hop back up again. I have been as good as gold over February and January and have enjoyed my tumble and will be ready to start again on Monday.
SW: 12st
CW: 10st 9
GW: 10st
my current weight is probably completely inaccurate as I haven’t weighed myself this week. So I’m probably a gazillion lbs but that’s ok - all the buttery shortbreads I ate were so so delicious 😋🤣🤣🤣

LBB2020 · 02/03/2025 09:02

Hope everyone is having a good weekend. Last week was a write off so just going to enjoy the rest of the weekend and get back on it tomorrow!

TheRealHousewife · 02/03/2025 09:25

Good Morning All

Welcome to the thread @danigrace 👍 Firstly, If you want change you need to get in the right headspace. Not always easy when you’re a mum to little ones. Next you need a plan. Then for about 80% of the time stick to it. Easier said than done but it gets easier if in the right headspace space x

Great to have you on board @alluphill . 👍

You’re welcome @Ethiopianflower Pleased to read you’re finding the threads helpful ❤️

@LBB2020 👍

Menu
Meal 1 - Scrambled egg with a little grated cheese.
Meal 2 - ? Eating out. Probably fish and veg/salad sides.
Tea, black coffee, water.

Despite my sluggish start yesterday, the weekend has been going ok. Productive, pretty much within my calorie goals, did a bodycombat class yesterday, and got out for a walk today. More a country park stroll than a full on hike, but it’s all a start. So nice to get out in the sunshine.

Healthy meal plan for the week ahead is sorted, exercise is proving a bit trickier because of evening meetings. And appointments etc. but will hopefully work it out.

LBB2020 · 02/03/2025 21:24

Food off plan as expected today but have done 12,000 steps so that’s something at least! Looking forward to getting back on track tomorrow although I have 3 meals out next week!

CornflowerBlueSky · 03/03/2025 08:05

Hi. I'm rejoining the thread after a whirlwind of a January/February. Very last minute holiday with friends to Europe followed by a quick trip to London with my daughters meant I knew a strict diet wouldn't be adhered to, so I just thought go, enjoy, and try to make sensible choices. We walked 10-15km a day most days for 2 weeks. I ate sensibly and we didn't drink much as most in the group weren't drinkers.....I came back 5kg heavier and I really can't believe it. So depressing, but I'm home now and back on track.

socks1107 · 03/03/2025 08:09

I've been bouncing around the same 1lb for ten days! Doing everything I should.
Anyone any ideas how I can get things moving again? I'm getting a bit frustrated

Lem0nTang0 · 03/03/2025 10:48

Have been offline for a while but back for March.
Have been here for the months before Christmas but hid away in the bottom of a tub of celebrations since the end of the year.
Am back on track with a goal of 1lb per week. I have hit it some weeks, exceeded other weeks and have been going for 33 weeks in total and am half way to my goal.
Sensible and manageable reduction in calories, more mindful of what I am eating without depriving myself of anything, drinking water and walking at least 1 mile per day. Move it March goal is to walk 2 miles per day with longer walks at weekends.

I always knew it would be a slow process and my target is realistic. Losing 68lbs at the rate of 1 per week takes me to November, slow and steady.

Start weight 15.11 (22/07/24)
Current weight 13st 5
Loss this week 2lb
Total loss so far 34lb
Target 11st (68lbs to lose in total)

LighterSpring25 · 03/03/2025 11:22

I've bought a new water bottle to keep my drinking on track.

I walked to work which is 20 minutes then at lunch I'm walking for 40 minutes.

I'm just having a muller rice
Lunch is ryvitas & boiled egg
Dinner is meat balls and salad
Its the Hello Fresh Fragrant Sach Ko Ang Inspired Beef & Pork Meatball Baguettes but I'm going to just have four meatballs with the salad and DH will have have a choice of the rest of the meatballs and baguettes. He can take leftovers for lunch.

I might do a few kettlebell excercises later but I have got housework to do.

KosyKat · 03/03/2025 11:42

Hi!

Could I join? 5ft 1 - approx. 10 stone......I don't like to weigh myself so unsure of exact number. I probably should dig the scales out.

I would like to be around 8 and a half, 9 stone. My biggest struggles are snacking, chocolate in my enemy and carbs.

I'm starting intermittent fasting and due to break it at 12pm with overnight oats, chicken and salad for dinner later. No snacking, water only.

Another struggle is living with DP who is extremely tall, and appears to be able to eat and drink whatever!!

The weather is lovely, hoping to get out for a short walk later on.

Fellsbells · 03/03/2025 12:11

Another carby weekend, so back on it this morning.

Skyglimmer · 03/03/2025 12:34

To my surprise I did weigh in today and lost 1.2kg since I last weighed in at the start of January. I didn't track calories and ate way off plan a lot but continued to exercise. I think this just puts me in the healthy BMI range.

Starting Weight - 62.7
Current Weight - 55.8KG
Goal Weight - 50Kg

FaeryQueen · 03/03/2025 12:41

Not going so well still. I've upped my movement, made sure I closed all my Apple rings but I'm still more or less stuck.

Today was Fridge Bottom soup in preparation for the veg box arrival tomorrow. Mostly beetroot and onion with some lentils and garlic. Gorgeous colour, bit like tomato. It's OK. I will eat it and would make it again but probably not deliberately!

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 03/03/2025 13:20

Menu for today…

B - boiled egg with toast
L - home made lentil soup, falafel & humous, satsuma
D - pinch of nom dirty macaroni

Struggling to fit exercise in today due to work and some appointments out of work. But I will try. Working from home which doesn’t help in general movement/steps. However, I have so far managed to avoid raiding the fridge which is good!

PatienceOfEngels · 03/03/2025 15:02

As predicted, Saturday was a food disaster (as was today) because of day out in city with kids (so train picnic and McDonald's) and a travel today (so eating while driving). Ready to pick everything up again tomorrow.

Am pledging not to eat after dinner this month from today.

KosyKat · 03/03/2025 18:48

I am just about to close my eating window.

I feel like I've done pretty well today, menu was overnight oats (oats, milk, chia seeds and honey) salad (lettuce, peppers, red cabbage, beet root, grated carrot, sweetcorn and mayo. Turkey salad (turkey, lettuce, red onion, cucumber, vine tomatoes and coleslaw).

I did fall and cave in to a Costco cookie, but I rebalanced that with a pear Grin

Been drinking water all day, one hell of a headache now though!

LighterSpring25 · 04/03/2025 16:18

I had a 2 egg mayo wholemeal sandwich for lunch
Dinner I think is going to be chicken and lots of vegetables.

I've walked for 60 minutes today the same as yesterday. I am tired today so I think it will a bit of housework and then a lazy evening. I must start doing a bit of kettlebells soon though.

PatienceOfEngels · 04/03/2025 19:08

Lovely day at the thermal baths with a friend today. Lunch out (burger and chips) with herbal tea, cake (an amazing Dutch concoction called a Bossche Bol which is basically a giant chocolate covered profiterole), a a portion of bitterballen (another amazing Dutch invention - thick meat ragu shaped into a ball, covered in breadcrumbs, deep fried and then dunked in mild mustard). We both had a head massage, time in the sauna, salt bath and outside in the jacuzzi in the sunshine.

Amazing day! So good to unwind after a hectic weekend in the UK and a day in the car yesterday travelling back.

Breakfast - boiled egg, rye toast, coffee
Dinner - spaghetti bolognese

Just been for a walk around the block with a new audio book to get my steps in and now kicking back with Death in Paradise.

No eating after dinner Day 1 for March! I know Lent doesn't start till tomorrow but I'm ready to begin. 😁

AnonymousMum37 · 04/03/2025 20:22

I'm so dim, I was thinking the other thread had gone quiet, just clicked it's March 😂

I had an amazing huge brunch today with eggs and smoked salmon, after a 10k run and pilates I needed it! Then Thai curry for tea (some left over for lunch tomorrow) and of course, pancakes for pudding (with fruit, maple syrup and greek yoghurt) 😋

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 04/03/2025 22:40

Today’s menu

B - boiled egg & toast
L - homemade tomato and sweet potato soup, falafel, humous, apple, quavers
D - salmon, rice, steamed greens

Snacks - satsuma, slice of toast

Exercise - Core class

March is going well so far. Back on track with the calorie counting, exercised 3 out the 4 days, and closed my apple rings every day. I definitely feel like I’m back in the right headspace to focus. Not expecting a loss tomorrow, there’s not been enough time yet, but hopefully I can keep this up and the scales will move in the right direction!

Good luck to everyone weighing tomorrow!

ForestDragon · 05/03/2025 07:23

Slipping into the thread like I didn't go MIA for two weeks!! 😆travel meant I didn't weigh in last week....

So, February had it's ups and downs, overall I'm not that happy with how I ate etc but I got through it down 2.7kg. Inspired by @Lem0nTang0 above I worked out my weekly rate if weight loss so far this year which is 0.58kg per week. If I can keep that up overall I'll be at my goal in June - knowing weight loss isn't linear that gives me great hope that if I stick to it I can be where I'm aiming for around summer holiday time in mid July! Good motivation to just keep meaning that slow and steady progress.

So this week's WOW:
SW: 94kg 1/1/25
CW: 88.4kg
GW: 70kg

Pretty much a stay the same from my last WoW, but I'm actually fairly happy with that. I'm down on body fat - another inch has come off my waist plus 1% down on the scale body fat measurement (inaccurate I know, but trending the right way). I feel slimmer and stronger. And I'm back running and increasing my distances after being really sick. So a positive way to start march! March Movement goals then are to run consistently 3 times per week, and to take my stretching more seriously so I don't ache.

Good luck for everyone weighing today!

LighterSpring25 · 05/03/2025 07:35

I'm 10 st 7.8 today

I was 10 st 9.somethng on Saturday when I started.

Walking to work again in 1/2 hour.

Fellsbells · 05/03/2025 07:44
