⭐️OPEN TO ALL⭐️

Following on from ⭐️LOSE IT!⭐️Fit & Fabulous February 2025⭐️

Let’s keep the momentum going in Move it More in March!

To reach optimum health and vitality (as well as a slim bod) we need to focus not only on our food intake; but movement, our mental health and sleep quality too!

Who doesn’t want to feel good and energetic as well looking great! Get on board to reset & refresh and become a healthier version of yourself.

These threads are for those who’d like to lose weight and those who wish to maintain whilst eating a healthy varied diet.

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We generally have WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable).

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and generally eat twice a day. Im a long time healthy eater and overall I’ve lost over 3 stone. After having been on the wrong side of 12st Im now hovering around 9st 2lbs.

Are you in😊 What food plan will you be following? What do you want to change and why?

Hello. Please can I join?

I am 14st, 5'9 and need to lose 2st. Put on the weight after having children and really REALLY need to get it off! Xx

TerroristToddler · 05/03/2025 08:12

Joining the new thread coming over from the last one.

I'm still going!!

SW - 140lbs
CW - 131.2 lbs
GW - 125 lbs

Think that's just over 1lb off this week (I think ... I'm weighing most days so getting confused what I reported here last week!).

Did hit the 130's on Monday which was exciting! But scales been up yesterday and today since. Never mind!

Been hit by illness again this week (having been struck down with flu a few weeks ago and only just got back to full workouts) so I'm not doing much working out this week except for some walks. Meh!

Good luck all that are weighing today and well done everyone for sticking with it!

IDareSay · 05/03/2025 08:46

SW: 72.5 kg beginning January (I was as high as 74.9kg last year!)
GW1: 70 kg end January (achieved and reset to 69kg)
CW: 67.8kg (4.7 kg lost) 5th March STS
GW2: 65 kg end March (in time for weekend away)
GW3: 60kg end June

Have been as low as 67.4kg but it didn't stick so I'm reporting a STS this week.
The good news is it isn't a gain!

I am moving more, so far have done at least a 30 minute walk every day in March so I'm aiming to keep that up.

Still a probably impossible 2.8kg loss needed to meet my end of March target of 65kg, but I will be happy to be anywhere in the 65's.

socks1107 · 05/03/2025 08:55

Half a pound for me this week. I'm bouncing around the same 1lb for 12 days now and it's on the next stone bracket so it's frustrating and getting me down a bit.
It's dipped down again today so hoping to stay in the 12s from now on!

under60kgbyJuly · 05/03/2025 09:19

Still no forward progress for me - right now my body really, really doesn't want to lose weight it seems. I think, given these are vanity pounds and I don't (at least right now, in a busy time in my job) have a lot of scope for eating better or less or moving more, I'm going to have to listen to it, for now, and just be glad I'm not gaining. Sigh.

SW: 63.4kg
CW: 62.6kg
GW: 60.0kg

KosyKat · 05/03/2025 09:39

I need to get new batteries for my scales...just gone to weigh myself and the scales are not working.

@TerroristToddler I have similar start weight to you and my goal is the same!

Still on my intermittent fasting and being more mindful of what I am eating, had a migraine Monday and yesterday, which knocked me about - still maintained my fasting.

Good morning and happy WOW day!

It was my birthday at the weekend and I was whisked away for a few days to Country House & Spa. It was very nice, very indulgent and very weighty 🤣. Totally worth it!

Not sharing WOW for now and will weigh again on Friday -WOF! Hopefully a more agreeable number. Just unpacking and intend to catch up on the thread later ❤️

Ahh forgot to weight this morning so just done it after breakfast and far too many coffees and not happy with the number so we’ll pretend that never happened 😂😂

ill weigh again tomorrow morning :)

NothingTraLaLa · 05/03/2025 11:00

I’m glad you enjoyed your birthday weekend @TheRealHousewife

Minuscule loss since last Friday, but it’s better than a gain.

I think my body likes my weight to sit around 120 lbs these days, but although it’s in my healthy BMI range I do think I would be better at a lower weight, and my height to waist measurement ratio backs this up. My target weight of 8 stone is slap bang in the middle of my healthy BMI range.

When I started university I was 7 stone with a 24 inch waist - I don’t think I’ll see either of those numbers again, and I suspect I would look haggard if I did.

SW 122.6 lbs
CW 120.8 lbs
TW 112 lbs

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 05/03/2025 12:23

Glad you enjoyed your birthday weekend @TheRealHousewife

i was 10st 11lbs this morning, just a fraction under how I started the year. But Jan/Feb were a bit of a write off for me, and as per my post yesterday, I feel much more in the right frame of mind now.

today’s plan:

B - yoghurt, sugar free granola, berries, chia seeds
L - homemade tomato & sweet potato soup, falafel, humous, pear, quavers
D - a Jamie Oliver sausage pasta dish with broccoli that’s fairly low on calories.

it’s a fairly low calorie day, so I might need to try and add some more protein in.

exercise - planning a bodycombat class after work.

Hi all. I've been lurking a bit on this thread but having just read the post by @NothingTraLaLa, I wondered if I could join? I have very similar stats to you but had a bad experience on a previous thread where people didn't understand that I wanted to lose a few pounds.

@NothingTraLaLa Can I ask - what is working for you? Are you counting calories? I think my current weight and target weight are the same as you, but I'm really struggling to lose any weight.

LighterSpring25 · 05/03/2025 13:51

@TheRealHousewife Belated Happy Birthday.

Anyone the same height as me at 5 ft 3? What is your goal weight. When I got married in 2010 I was 9 st 4 and felt realy comfortable. At the moment I want to be at least 9 st 11 but hopefully can lose a bit more.

I'm away on the 17th May so that is that is 10 weeks on Saturday. that doesn't give me many weeks to not lose.

This nice weather is really helping me though. I've just walked home and back at lunch.

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 05/03/2025 16:08

We’re very welcoming here @Magnolia82 whether you have a lot or a little to lose!

1 lb on this week so not great but admittedly I have taken my eye off the ball over the few weeks.

sw: 18st 2
cw: 15st 9
tw: 14st

will focus on tracking absolutely everything today on nutracheck and closing all rings on Apple Watch

I am a similar height - I'm 5ft 2.

My start weight was 10st back in Jan. I'm now 9st 5.2 and targeting somewhere just under 9st (ideally about 9st 12).

I used to find my natural resting weight was about 9st 3 but over the past 5 years it's gone up by 10lbs and I really need to reset my body. Aiming for slow but steady weight loss this time and then putting in the effort to continue tracking calories to maintain it in the hope my body suddenly recognises it's resting weight needs to be lower!!

TerroristToddler · 06/03/2025 06:41

Edit - goal weight is 8st 13 (not 9st 13!)

Happy belated birthday therealhousewife

After bouncing around the same 1lb I've come down 2 this morning and knowing how my weight fluctuates it's unlikely I'll go back into the 13s. So am officially in the 12s I think. It's a sunny day to match my sunny mood this morning 😊

Well done.

I've just got to work and I'm already looking forward to my lunchtime walk in the sunshine.

I don't want to tempt fate but I've not felt this motivated in a long time.

PatienceOfEngels · 06/03/2025 08:39

Weekend away sounds heavenly @TheRealHousewife Happy belated birthday.

@Magnolia82 welcome! This is a really supportive and non-judgy thread. Everyone here is at different stages of their journey with different goals and ideas about what they want (and how to get there!).

I'm not even that fussed about losing weight anymore - though a healthy BMI would be nice. For me it's more about feeling healthier in myself and embedding my good habits to help me enjoy my life.

And on that note... I started my challenge for Lent of no crisps and no eating after dinner yesterday (actually started on Tuesday a day early).

Crisps are my nemesis - once I start I can't stop They're completely addictive for me, greasy and salty they give me ashort term dopamine hit but in the long term I feel sluggish, dehydrated and just want more.

Eating after dinner means I snack on rubbish and my sleep is worse. Even if I just cut out UPF I wills till find something to overdo it on like cheese and crackers, or toast. I know that a 12 hour eating window with 3 meals works best for me.

Not weighing in this week after my weekend away in the UK eating lots of rubbish.

Yesterday:
-boiled egg and 1 slice wholemeal toast with butter (DH ate all my rye bread!) and coffee with milk
-lunch - leftover spaghetti with a bit of bolognese
-dinner - potato bake (with onion, bacon, white sauce, cheese) with broccoli and sweetcorn
-snacks: 2 mini apple cakes, blue cheese on crackers/grapes, handful salted cashew nuts with cheese - way too much, I know! Had a child free day to myself and they're always the hardest.
-litre water and 2 mugs of herbal tea
-exercise - got my steps in (12K) with a short walk in the morning and then lots of errands/up and down stairs. Restarted my daily outside yoga practice for Spring (24 minutes). 5 minute kitchen workout before breakfast (5x press-ups, calf raises, tricep dips, lunges on each leg and squats)

Plan for today:
-boiled egg and 1 slice wholemeal toast with butter and coffee with milk
-lunch - no clue!
-dinner - katsu curry sauce with schnitzel, rice and peas
-just done my yoga outside and will try and get my steps in with a walk. Some gardening this afternoon.
-snack - have cherry tomatoes and apples to use up.

sunny here too @socks1107 !

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 06/03/2025 19:56

Feeling very pleased to have got to Thursday and still on track for food and exercise!

today’s menu was

B - scrambled egg with toast
L - homemade leftover chicken soup, pear, quavers, falafel, humous
D - chilli with jacket potato, green beans

No snacks, and feeling very full after baked potato. Not something we normally have. 31g of fibre today, so I was pleased with that.

exercise - just a few physio exercises to help with ongoing niggles from previous injuries, but I had closed my Apple Watch exercise ring with just a fairly busy day.

i have a fancy black tie dinner tomorrow which won’t be good for the calories, and likely to be boozy. However there is a bit of dancing so that will help. I’ve made tomorrow and Saturday ‘easier days’ on nutracheck to help balance calories over the week.

Hope everyone else is getting on well, sounds like a few people are very motivated by March. I think there’s something about the lighter nights and occasional blue sky that spurs us on!

FairyBloodyMary · 07/03/2025 07:06

Morning all. I'm late to the party this month after having a bit of a wobble in general. I've gained weight and am not happy but I've been back on the wagon since Wednesday seeing as it was the start of Lent. I've given up chocolate, sweets and crisps. I'm usually pretty good at sticking to things but with my already restricted diet I sometimes have to reintroduce either the crisps or the sweets. I don't actually like sweets much these days so I'll stick to giving up crisps and chocolate because I'd been eating a lot of both and ultra processed ones at that. My stomach is so bloated and I've gained 5lb from my goal weight. Not happy. I'm also going back to heavily restricting ultra processed foods and trying to eat a more healthy diet. I've been extra tired lately and having to get the bus to my mum's due to timing so I've missed out on quite a lot of walking.plus I’ve eaten far too many salty things like crisps. It's no wonder I've gained. Onwards, however!

I’ve started using my fitness pal again as of yesterday and oh boy! I’ve just logged Wednesday’s food and I was at 2500 calories and I didn’t eat that much in terms of quantity. I had a huge jacket potato with butter and cheese for dinner but ate emergency biscuits and lentil chips at my mum’s which was around 500 calories. A snackcident of the highest order! Mum doesn’t have much in that I can eat and I was so hungry I felt sick. Logging food really is eye opening and I’d forgotten how easy it is to go way over calories. This is reassuring that it will be easy to lose the excess again.

Have a great day!
