⭐️OPEN TO ALL⭐️

Following on from ⭐️LOSE IT!⭐️Fit & Fabulous February 2025⭐️

Let’s keep the momentum going in Move it More in March!

To reach optimum health and vitality (as well as a slim bod) we need to focus not only on our food intake; but movement, our mental health and sleep quality too!

Who doesn’t want to feel good and energetic as well looking great! Get on board to reset & refresh and become a healthier version of yourself.

These threads are for those who’d like to lose weight and those who wish to maintain whilst eating a healthy varied diet.

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We generally have WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable).

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and generally eat twice a day. Im a long time healthy eater and overall I’ve lost over 3 stone. After having been on the wrong side of 12st Im now hovering around 9st 2lbs.

Are you in😊 What food plan will you be following? What do you want to change and why?

Good Morning

Not Wanting to bring the thread down or anything; I’ve been really under the weather. Just as I was getting over the virus infection I then developed a migraine with nausea that lasted 3 days. As that lifted I’ve got an upset stomach and terrible fatigue. Feel totally whacked out. Even typing this is an effort. 😴

Sending good healthy eating and exercise vibes and ‘see’ you soon. ❤️

@TheRealHousewife Sorry you are having a bad time. Hope you feel better soon.

I've got pasta bolognese for lunch. I'm getting hungry as I'm doing intermittent fasting so will have it 12.

I've still not started my strength training as I've not felt up to it. I've started taking iron tablets again so hopefully will feel better soon. I did meet a friend on Sunday and we went for a long dogwalk.

I hope everyone has a good week.

OneDayIWillLearn · 17/03/2025 13:27

Back again, feeling annoyed with myself!! We moved house in mid Janauary. I never really got back into my stride after Christmas as we went straight into packing, and then moved. It was a big relocation with a lot of work related change at the same time, and that/ feeling stressed and tired plus the cold weather and doing more physically demanding work has all resulted in me getting back into very bad habits. And putting on half a stone from where I was in early January :-(

Today was meant to be a re-set but I’d fallen off the waggon already by breakfast by tucking into a hot cross bun (I usually try and fast until lunch). Then I’ve had left over pizza for lunch rather than the lunch I planned. Not too sure how to get back on the straight and narrow now!

I’d had a really good slow and steady 6 month run before that and lost around a stone, and then in ten weeks of carelessness I’ve put half of it back on. I could kick myself.

ANYWAY, I’m joining this thread in the hope of it going some way to getting me back on track and in the right mindset again….

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 17/03/2025 23:29

Sorry to read of your health woes @TheRealHousewife that sounds tough.

after starting the month motivated and active, and commenting last WOW that I was feeling much better, my energy levels have plummeted and I spent much of the weekend on the sofa. I’ve decided to bite the bullet and go see the GP tomorrow, something I never do. I feel like I should rule out anything a bit more untoward than a lingering cold after 7 weeks.

oh gawd, @OneDayIWillLearn hot cross buns! Must stay away from those!

ts96 · 18/03/2025 07:27

I was on the last thread but things fell to the side completely after a fairly traumatic life event. 🤦‍♀️ Without bringing the tone down! But now back to a place where I can focus on looking after my body and the rest of me and try to get healthy again.

So not weighing this week and I think it would be actively unhelpful, but back to tracking my food and trying to be more active.

AnonymousMum37 · 18/03/2025 08:04

I dropped a shelf on my toe on Saturday so not managing many steps let alone a run 😔

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 18/03/2025 23:38

Ouch @AnonymousMum37 !

I am not expecting a loss in the morning sadly, but after 4 or 5 days of feeling run down again, I’m determined to pick things up again tomorrow. I know that if I exercise, I eat better, I feel better, and I’m more likely to lose a pound.

good luck for WOW to those getting on the scales in the morning!

StealthyBMI · 19/03/2025 07:01

Morning Smile I'm down to 77.7 today from 78.4 last wed though my scales are still wobbling around so not putting too much faith in the bigger loss but still trending downwards. It's a lovely morning today, I hope everyone manages to get out in the sunshine.

OneDayIWillLearn · 19/03/2025 07:02

12 stone 9 and 3/4lbs on the scale this morning. 6 1/2 lbs up from my lowest December weight, back to where I was in September.

I’m going to try not to focus too much on the scales though and just try and get back
into a better mindset and better self-care.

Work is busy and stressful at the moment so that’s always a bit of a trigger for me but I’m going to try and be more mindful of what I’m eating and when/ why.

LighterSpring25 · 19/03/2025 07:37

I'm down 1 lb again.

SW 10 st 9 1st March
CW 10 st 5
GW1 9 st 11
Then see how I feel.

IDareSay · 19/03/2025 08:46

SW: 72.5 kg beginning January (I was as high as 74.9kg last year!)
GW1: 70 kg end January (achieved and reset to 69kg)
CW: 66.9 kg (5.6 kg lost) 19th March
GW2: 65 kg 26th March (in time for weekend away)

800g loss, so I'm finally off the plateau, at least for today! Not really a 'whoosh' more of a gentle swoop but I'm very happy with it.

A certainly impossible 1.9kg loss needed in 1 week to meet my end of March target of 65kg, even getting into the 65's will be a miracle, but I'll see where I land next Wednesday and any loss will be great.

Whatever the result, I know I am going to enjoy my weekend away at 5.6kg (12bls) lighter than I was at Christmas, and 8kg (17lbs) lighter than my heaviest weight last year!

Keep going WoWers Flowers

FairyBloodyMary · 19/03/2025 08:53

Morning all, I’ve been utterly crap at staying up to date and staying focused on eating better. My scales battery is dead and before it flicked onto lo it told me I’d gained another kilo! I’m hoping it was an error. I just haven’t got the energy to focus on this right now with everything going on and am annoyed with myself. I’ve also gone off red pepper hummus so will go back to Greek yogurt and fruit for lunch. I’d gone off that a bit too or just bored of it but two pots of the hummus have tasted weird to me and I’ve not enjoyed it.
Hope everyone is doing ok.

TerroristToddler · 19/03/2025 09:10

I think I'm down 1.2lb this week, after staying the same for a couple of weeks. Annoyingly I've weighed lower than today (last Sun) but scales did me dirty and rose right back up again and then slowly went down a bit each day. I'm sure a bigger loss will come soon as I've been in a strict deficit most days.

SW - 140lbs
CW - 130.2lbs
GW - 125lbs

My target date for reaching goal is in 5 weeks... I'm no longer losing 1lb a week, and find its more like 0.5lb a week average as I get closer to target so I don't think I'll make goal by the target date anymore. But, if I could lose another 2lbs by then I'd be happy and I'll just have to keep going for longer!

socks1107 · 19/03/2025 09:15

I’ve lost 3lb this week! And I’m wearing a size 14 now and my BMI has dropped to overweight from obese 😊.

SW 13st 13
CW 12st 9
GW 11st 8

well done everyone for doing another week and still being here and thanks for all the motivation to keep it going

blizymitzy · 19/03/2025 09:45

I’ve been good but haven’t updated in a week or so.
sw-12.7.
cw-12.4

I'm happy that I’m loosing but it’s incredibly slow. I’m eating really well but going to up my exercise this week.
I’m 52 and on Hrt after a full hysterectomy 9 years ago and it’s definitely very slow going but a loss is good!
well done everyone

alluphill · 19/03/2025 11:08

SW. 11st 2.5lbs
CW 11st

Up 2lbs this week. Wasn't good this week and hurt my back so didn't get steps in. Also got period this morning. So not surprised by the gain. Def want a loss this coming week.
Congrats to all who got losses 👏

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 19/03/2025 13:03

Well done @socks1107 that must be a great feeling! Congratulations on the other losses too.

no change for me this week, but I’m getting back on the exercise today and still feeling optimistic about my summer holiday goal for the end of June (I need to lose half a stone to get to where I was last June, anything more would be a welcome bonus).

Today’s menu:

B - Greek yoghurt, sugar free granola with some added flax seeds and chia seeds, frozen berry mix

L - tomato and sweet potato soup, falafels, hummus, quavers and satsuma

D - pinch of nom Cajun dirty rice.

exercise - after lunch I’ll do a 15 minute brisk walk to get away from my desk, and when I get home I’ll do a strength class.

Have a good positive day everyone!

Panickyanicky · 19/03/2025 15:31

Hello all, I have been on and off these threads under various names for years but back again. In 2023 I lost 14kg and kept it off for over a year but recently I have put 6kg of that back on. Goal is to lose that 6kg and get back to my initial weight of 64kg first and then see if I can reach the previous target I never hit of 62kg.

I have a real sugar addiction, I can't drive past a shop without eating way to much chocolate so that needs to stop. As does excessive snacking and bread.
Starting out at 70kg this morning and aiming for approx 2kg loss a month.
I do a lot of exercise already so will keep that up but it doesn't really help with the weightloss if anything the urge to snack when post gym is higher.

Ethiopianflower · 19/03/2025 18:00

Well done everyone. I think it’s great we are on this journey to becoming healthier versions of ourselves. I have had ups and downs but this week I am down 1.75lbs. Delighted with that. Going to bring the dogs 🐶 for a walk now and get some steps in.

SW: 12st
CW: 10.4
GW: 9.13 (just want to see the number 9 on the scale - haven’t seen that in decades!!!)

I want to see a number 9 st something too. I cleared a drawer full of size 10 clothes and put them into a bin liner. I'm a size 12 at the moment. I'd love to wear some of my old things but we'll see.

Butterflyarms · 20/03/2025 02:38

Joining in the hope it will hold me accountable!

SW: 91kg beginning of March
CW: 89.4kg
GW1: 80kg by 15 May

belnding · 20/03/2025 09:51

My wow details:

SW: 75kg (last Weds)
CW 75.9kg
GW 68kg

Pleased my weight yesterday stayed under 76kg as it had tipped into 76kg earlier in the week.

started quite strong from last Weds, but got a really bad cold so have been eating to shake it off. It’s surprising how fast the weight piles on.

I do still feel I’m sticking with the principles of the diet though- with my main aim to have really light evening meal(as I have larger breakfast and lunch)

movement has been good despite my cold. But needs to go hand I. Ah d with reduction in qty of food if it’s to have an effect.

Puffalicious · 21/03/2025 01:10

Hey all,

Sorry to hear of illnesses, it's rotten when you feel so low. Lots of self-care needed

Anotherv1lb off this week. It's slow but I need to keep at it

SW 14st 2
CW 13st 3
GW 11st 7lb to start

Almost at the stone, which will feel good. Well done everyone this week- noses to the grindstone.

Panickyanicky · 21/03/2025 09:25

Morning all,
started the day with a gym class and green juice
currently making baked cocoa oats for lunch, not the healthiest but I’m hoping the sweetness and fibre will satisfy me from wanting to snack on chocolate in the afternoon.
Dinner is chicken noodle soup

belnding · 21/03/2025 11:00

@Panickyanickyprobably including protein in your lunch will stop you feeling like snacking. Maybe include a boiled egg if you have any?

I’m listening to this podcast at the moment so it’s making me rethink my meals a bit: https://open.spotify.com/episode/0VgeL3SViWOdjPvzYmZL5j?si=pkc0uRG8TYy_Tmcq8z6XLQ
