Following on from ⭐️LOSE IT!⭐️Fit & Fabulous February 2025⭐️

Let’s keep the momentum going in Move it More in March!

To reach optimum health and vitality (as well as a slim bod) we need to focus not only on our food intake; but movement, our mental health and sleep quality too!

Who doesn’t want to feel good and energetic as well looking great! Get on board to reset & refresh and become a healthier version of yourself.

These threads are for those who’d like to lose weight and those who wish to maintain whilst eating a healthy varied diet.

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We generally have WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable).

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and generally eat twice a day. Im a long time healthy eater and overall I’ve lost over 3 stone. After having been on the wrong side of 12st Im now hovering around 9st 2lbs.

SW: 176.6lb
CW: 158.4lb
GW: 154lb

Although I might keep going after, I'm not sure yet. I was 133lb at my lowest but I feel I looked too skinny then. I would like to be 144ish which would be another stone off from now. I know this stone is harder to lose though.

It’s great to see you are all still doing your thing!

Sorry for being absent; I didn’t wish to lower the vibe … I’ve been quite low since my run of various maladies. Daily I’m actively trying to improve my mood and energy. Im prioritising sleep but not so much the foods my other half has been fab cooking and stuff but its been more carbs than I usually go.

I’ll try to catch up on thread and Aprils thread is No1 on my to-do list ✅… A list does exist as actually I love lists 😬

I forgot to say yesterday that yesterday marked the end of 12 weeks on Fast 800. Which I have to admit was very strict for the first 6-8 weeks and much more lax the last 4. However I have achieved in this time:

  • 11.6KG lost
  • Waist measurement down by 15cm
  • Hips down by 8cm
  • Thigh down by 4cm
  • Comfortably back in my size 14 clothes with quite a few items feeling a little too lose now.
  • 2 new holes on my belt.

I've also been using the InBody scanner at my gym and have seen my body fat percentage drop down to a healthy range, and increased my muscle mass above average. I'm generally seeing now that for every 2kg I lose in fat, I'm gaining up to a kg in muscle. So overall a massive progress towards being healthier (rather than just thinner/lighter.)

New plan going forwards is to stop aiming for such low calories but shift towards a Mediterranean diet - so still steering clear of bread, potatoes, rice and pasta, but incorporating more beans and lentils into my diet. I'm actually looking forward to my gym sessions now - it's taken a long time to realise I don't need to run (which I hate) but instead I can walk on an incline, use the weights machines and do a bit of cross trainer to see results (whilst also managing to watch Netflix on my phone.) Fingers crossed for a continuation of this overall trend going into April and beyond.

I have had quite a carby tea (pasta) and feel quite stuffed, but I haven’t dine any proper exercise today. Wondering if I leave it another hour whether it will have digested enough to face exercise.

Does anyone go out to exercise in the evening - gym or whatever? How long after dinner / tea do you go?

We go to the gym before dinner. Once I’ve sat down for tea I can’t be bothered moving again so I know and go first. But we always eat late which helps.

How is everyone’s weekend? I had a slightly regrettable blow out calorie day yesterday - takeaway and snacks. A little bit annoyed with myself, as we’re off out for a lunch somewhere nice later, and that’s where I want to blow any excess calories!

I’m going to get some exercise in this morning though so not all bad.

We are away and I've just had a bacon butty. I've gone off track. My Husband is joining me on 1st April in being healthier so as I said before I'm hoping I do better in April.

I've ordered a Mediterranean Diet recipe book so I'll have a look what healthy meals are in there. I don't eat a lot but the wrong things so hope it will help. I'm also just going to have a few glasses of red wine when we go out instead of other drinks.

We went to a concert last night and I wore the dress I had as a goal for the evening. What was even better when I came back from the bathroom in the pub my husband was eyeing me up with a massive smile😂. And then he told me how great I look and he can’t stop looking at me! That’s the motivation for the next stone! I ate more than I should but enjoyed myself and am a pound lighter this morning so happy happy today.

I completely fell off the thread (and the diet wagon) early on in March!
Looking forward to April and getting back on track! I just started C25K last night and am feeling pretty motivated so hopefully I stick at it as I’m fed up of feeling down about the way I look.

Hello ladies hope your all well. I have been absent for few weeks due to my fasting. Today will be my last day. All this month I've spent maintaining my weight. Once April starts il be back on to loosing these pounds again.
Weigh right now. 14.1
Will way once hit my target 9.13.
Kept my portions right. Avoided over eating. Back onto it on Wednesday.

Well Ive stuffed myself full of cake and buffet food today for Mother’s Day… and had a takeaway and chocolate last night. So not looking forward to the scales this week.

Was all looking good at the end of last week too and had gone down to 128.4lbs which I was chuffed with. Have a few eating out events this week too, so need to figure out how to squeeze in damage control somewhere!!
