⭐️OPEN TO ALL⭐️

Following on from ⭐️Move It March 2025⭐️

Spring has sprung at long last! ☀️ Are you ready for Active April?

To reach optimum health and vitality (as well as a slim bod) we need to focus not only on our food intake; but movement, our mental health and sleep quality too!

Who doesn’t want to feel good and energetic as well looking great! Get on board to reset & refresh and become a healthier version of yourself.

These threads are for those who’d like to lose weight and those who wish to maintain whilst eating a healthy varied diet.

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We generally have WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable).

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and generally eat twice a day. Im a long time healthy eater and overall I’ve lost over 3 stone. After having been on the wrong side of 12st The last time I weighed I was hovering around 9st 2lbs. I would like to get back into the 8’s 🤞

Are you in😊 What food plan will you be following? What do you want to change and why?

New members … Give it a go; it’s never too late! Come summer you’ll be pleased you did 😊

Beloved long timers it would be great for you to keep going❤️

It's been a while but I'm back for April - thank you @TheRealHousewife for your threads.

I'm starting today as it's Monday. And the sun is shining - hurray

rainbow616 · 31/03/2025 14:04

I’ve had a bad couple of months so I’m back on it!! I’m going to start calorie counting as I really have no idea how much I’m eating, so need to hold myself accountable!! I go on holiday in two months and would like to lose 1-2lbs a week until then!

SW 12st 8.6
GW 12st (at least!)

TicketyBoo11 · 31/03/2025 14:44

I’m in. Just paid for the Nutracheck app on special offer for a year. It’s addictive, I’m going round the kitchen scanning stuff…it’s brilliant..and so simple. I lost a stone with slimming world before Christmas and have 1 more stone to lose but going solo this time by with more exercise or should I say, some exercise. Maximum of 1400 cals per day-the sabotage section has wine, peanuts, crisps and even more wine in it so I’m mindful of that and I’m going to be strong.

SW 11 st 7.8
GW 10 st 7

Bluesprinkles12 · 31/03/2025 15:17

I'm in too! I have been following the previous thread and doing my thing in the background but going to actually be active now and not just read!

I have been calorie counting, lifting weights x4 pw and walking at least 10k steps a day for awhile now but going on holiday in 10 weeks so really need to focus and just stick to my diet as best as I can. I am going races on Saturday so will be having a few cheeky drinks so need to be extra strict with my calorie intake for the week. I try to eat around 1,700-1,800 most days and so far it is working

SW 100kg
CW 84.4kg
GW 65-70kg ish

socks1107 · 31/03/2025 15:33

@TheRealHousewifethank you!
At 20lbs down and a dress size smaller I’m in for April! Love these threads and the support and absolutely no discrimination whatever your size, diet and mindset.

LemonDrizzle23 · 31/03/2025 16:19

Hello @TheRealHousewife thank you for the new April thread. I dropped off at the beginning of Feb, as my mum sadly became ill and then died very suddenly. It’s been a fairly awful couple of months. But the funeral is done now and it’s sort of back to real life… I know I’ve put weight on, so slightly dreading the scales! But want to feel happier with my body by the summer.
Going to go gently and slowly, and aiming to minimise stress as much as possible.

rainbow616 · 31/03/2025 16:37

@LemonDrizzle23oh I’m so sorry to hear that x

socks1107 · 31/03/2025 16:58

@LemonDrizzle23sorry to read this xx

Fellsbells · 31/03/2025 17:46

@LemonDrizzle23 so sorry for your loss 🌷

thenewaveragebear1983 · 31/03/2025 17:52

Hi, can I join you? I’ve lost 7lbs this year and my weight loss is super slow and I have to be superstrict to see any loss! I exercise, walk and eat well but it’s just very very Sloooooow, so joining for motivation and accountability

BlossBurger · 31/03/2025 18:08

So Sorry for your loss @LemonDrizzle23

I’m off on hols in June and would really like to get under 11 stone before then. Key issue is my waistline - not at all healthy. Going to follow a low carb Mediterranean plan. I already walk and swim but will add another type of cardio and 3x gym sessions.

HollyGolightly4 · 31/03/2025 18:28

Please could I join? This seems a friendly thread and I could do with moral support.

I need to lose the weight due to TTC.

BMI was 33.4, 86.7 kg on the 11th March.
BMI was 32.3, 83.8 kg on the 29th March

So I've lost 2.9kg. I'm using nutracheck, 1200 calories a day and 10,000 steps plus exercise .

My first target is BMI 30, 77.7kg (I plan to keep going, but that's my first milestone)

Motivation so far has been comments from people telling me I look like I've lost weight!

TakeAMinutePlease · 31/03/2025 18:54

Please can I hop on too?

I’ve really struggled with motivation over the past couple of months following a family bereavement and a few other stressful life things. Binge eating habits have crept back in a little and I’m not feeling myself in my body.

I’m hoping that a few good weeks of really looking after myself will lift my spirits and make me feel more myself.

I’ll weigh in tomorrow morning and record it here for accountability.

AnonymousMum37 · 31/03/2025 19:26

I've been losing since 2nd Jan but I'm losing momentum. Help!

HollyGolightly4 · 31/03/2025 20:16

Do you have a goal @AnonymousMum37? Like a particular weight, or a special event? I find that can help! Plus celebrating small successes.

StealthyBMI · 31/03/2025 20:50

I'm back for April! Still working towards a healthy BMI but following the InBody scan data more to track fat loss/muscle gain rather than just kg lost.

SW:89kg 1st Jan 2025
CW: 77.4kg after a weekend where I said yes to the burger, cake and wine....
GW: 72kg and healthy BMI.

Had a bit of a weekend off where I just wanted to eat all the food I've denied myself. Finished my burger and felt really quite disgusting. Managed to offload most the chips to the kids though. Back on it properly this week, I've hit 18k steps today including an hour in the gym.

CornflowerBlueSky · 31/03/2025 21:12

I'm slinking back onto the thread.....Really wanted to name change as I feel a complete failure for not losing anything, despite good intentions at the start of each month....But enough, I'm back to feeling uncomfortable in myself, can't fit in clothes and I'm very worried at how easily I regain weight if I am not fully committed. I think peri menopause may be starting too, so I really need to get my act together. On a positive note, I have restarted strength training and how quickly my fitness has declined is an incentive to keep at it. Need to lose 2.5 stones in total, but aiming for half stone milestones to get as close as possible.

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 31/03/2025 21:44

Oh I’m so sorry @LemonDrizzle23 sending unmumsnetty hugs. I hope you are being kind to yourself.

March didn’t go quite to plan, I have definitely been better on the calorie front, and have probably done more exercise in March than I did Dec, Jan and Feb combined. Still feeling motivated to try and lose that pesky half a stone before the holidays.

thanks for the new thread @TheRealHousewife
