Is anyone in the same situation?

I've put on a couple of kg over Christmas and haven't really got my head back in the normal eating game yet 😬

So my starting weight is 66.2kg. I'm aiming to get back under 64kg.

I love working out and walking, so exercise isn't an issue. It's just the snacking that needs to reduce! Hopefully posting here will help me.

I'm in exactly the same situation, I weigh the same as you and I need to lose some!

I'm going to try my friend's tio of chewing gum after a meal to try and avoid snacking.

I'm going to fast until lunchtime as that usually works for me to lose a small amount.... and apart from that, absolutely no idea!

I'll probably try and eat less carbs and drink more water.

I weigh every day but focus on the average. Love plotting the data on a graph in the health app on my iPhone.

This won't be for everyone (or even anyone!) but in my 50's the only way for me to lose is one meal a day. Drastic and unhealthy but nothing else works. Once I'm down to my target if I'm careful I can maintain it.

I'll join. Currently 11st7lbs, want to get below 11. 10.10 would be nice but 10.12 is fine (I'm tall)

I'm a terrible snacker so I'm hoping just cutting out the snacks and having no takeaways should do it

Yip, me. My jeans are all too tight. I want to lose five pounds to make the jeans fit properly, and a few more to actually look good.

I've cut out most of the junk, have soup for my dinner, and have massively increased my steps each day. Menopausal so this may not be enough but I'll try.

Hello all. I joined another thread but wonder if this is the best thread for me? Would it be ok to join you?

I'm currently 8 stone 6 but know that I feel (& look) so much better when I'm around 10 pounds (maybe slightly more) lower than this. I'm quite short, so my starting calories are already quite low. But I'm just finding myself completely stuck and not losing anything (frustrated that the weight has gradually crept up!). Can anyone relate to this or have any tips/thoughts?

I'm currently eating low carb (not no carb) and definitely feel better, but no shift in weight.

Same here. Want a few pounds off so that clothes look better, no lumps or bumps etc. but because I don't NEED to lose it I find it so hard to stay motivated.

How's everyone going?

I'm very hungry but it's just because I've got used to eating/snacking more over the past few weeks and I'm off work today, so my mind isn't occupied.

I'm going to make a chorizo and lentil soup for dinner tonight, so I'm counting down the hours until dinner time!

I'm ok today - not much appetite as had a bad night's sleep. Not a good thing as such, but it's keeping the calories down!

And me. I’m 5’3 and weigh 8’13. I look so much better at 8’7. I exercise and eat such healthy meals then ruin it all with snacks between lunch and dinner and post dinner chocolate binge. EVERY DAY.

We are almost identical height, weight and age. I know what you mean. It is so hard to lose it compared to how easy it used to be! I’ve got a weekend away in one month which I’m trying to use as a motivator!

Id like to join. About 3 kgs to lose. Im doing the Fast 800 regime and am menopausal. I do manage to lose the weight but cant seem to maintain it.

I am in the same boat. I have gained about 2kg since the end of November.

Most of the snacks are gone now, so just need a little bit of discipline not to buy more.

I am also menopausal and my clothes are tight and I have the terrible afternoon munchies where I guzzle loads of unhealthy snacks.
Every day I say I won't succumb to the cravings, in the next breath I am shovelling Pringles, jammy dodgers and leftover cake down my throat at breakneck speed.

Me! 5 foot 3 & 62 kg. Jeans are for standing in only at the money so I'd like to get back down to 60 kg. More if I can. Today is day 1 of 16:8 fasting & it's a struggle not having second brekkie & snacks!! I'm eating between 11-7 & so far had a slimfast & 3 crackers with cheese. Going to do a hello fresh for dinner as I hate cooking & just order takeaways. Walk a lot with the dog but can't up exercise yet as since I last had covid it's really set my asthma off.

I would like to lose half a stone or 3kg.
I think I need to reduce carbs and perhaps have a bit of a restricted time window. But I get very hungry and I love bread so it's not easy. I can be quite sensible for most of the week, but weekend dinners out / takeaways are an issue for me as well.

Welcome all new joiners.

I've had a busy day at work so it's been a lot easier not to snack. Starting to get my head back in the game a bit and feel more "normal" with my eating habits.
