Is anyone in the same situation?

I've put on a couple of kg over Christmas and haven't really got my head back in the normal eating game yet 😬

So my starting weight is 66.2kg. I'm aiming to get back under 64kg.

I love working out and walking, so exercise isn't an issue. It's just the snacking that needs to reduce! Hopefully posting here will help me.

Ooh I've had a whoosh.

Pound off and seeing 9 2 on the sad step.

Let's see if I can maintain in a ski resort in Italy.

Another pound off this morning:

Starting weight - 14th Jan - 11st 10lb
Todays weight - 12th Feb - 11st 4 and 3/4lb
Goal weight - 01st April - 10st 10lb

As with last week seems a bit pedantic to say 4 and 3/4lbs but I'm glad to see a 4!! If I do a lb a week I'll be 10 st 11 and 3/4 at Easter so I'm hoping to up my weekly loss to 1.5 a week 🤞

BurntOrange · 12/02/2024 10:44

@Iamblossom woohoo I love a good whoosh!

CheesecakeandCrackers · 12/02/2024 11:46

Enjoy skiing and the whoosh @Iamblossom ! I had another big eating day yesterday but have hit around 1400 other days this week so I'm happy with that. Not sure how will feel later as taking the kids out and I am going to avoid eating when everyone else is having a burger so topping myself up with toast before we go!

HowDoYouMakeThem · 13/02/2024 19:24

Evening all.

Has anyone else enjoyed pancakes today? We made some at lunchtime. Sugar and lemon of course!

We're out for a special lunch tomorrow so see what I mean about a week of eating events 🙄.

I had a great workout at the gym this morning though and that makes my body feel good, even if I'm struggling to cut back below maintenance at the moment.

I'm bowing out ladies as just had a very surprise pregnancy shock

Iamblossom · 19/02/2024 07:23

@mrssunshinexxx congratulations! 🎊💐🎉

By some minor miracle despite drinking at least a bottle of wine a day and having bread and chips for most meals, I have maintained on my week skiing.

Wow @mrssunshinexxx congratulations and best excuse ever for leaving a weight loss thread Smile

I’ve maintained over the last couple of weeks but back on it today.

mrssunshinexxx · 19/02/2024 15:27

Thanks
Both xx

Findingmeagain · 19/02/2024 16:37

Congratulations mrssunshine ! I haven't posted as no change. Funnily enough I feel like I look better when I look in the mirror, but no change on the scales. I think part of the problem is that my body is actually comfortable at this weight so I have to be really strict to maintain at a few lb lighter. Also I'm happy in a new relationship and I think the 2 years of stress post divorce probably contributed to me being at my lightest last summer.

BurntOrange · 19/02/2024 18:16

@mrssunshinexxx congrats!!!

Lost a sum total of 1/4s of a lb...overindulged with pancakes this week!

Starting weight - 14th Jan - 11st 10lb
Todays weight - 19th Feb - 11st 4 and 1/4
Goal weight - 01st April - 10st 10lb

Need to up my game to get to my target by Easter I think

Iamblossom · 25/02/2024 12:44

Bang on 9 2 this morning so that nearly 4 pounds off.

Very pleased.

Well done that's a good jump closer to your goal.

BurntOrange · 25/02/2024 22:28

@Iamblossom well done!

I normally weight Monday mornings but I've had no will power all weekend so no I will have put on weight!

Back to it Tuesday 🤞🤞

MoonieDoo · 27/02/2024 14:44

Congratulations @mrssunshinexxx !

I'm slowly getting there! Definitely 8st 8lbs and closer to 8st 7lbs. It took ages at the start as I couldn't find what worked. What's working is calorie counting and finding those meals that will be filling on few calories. It's like a game and whole food plant based so super healthy.

I'm still sad about porridge - how the hell is it so calorific?!

7poundstogo · 27/02/2024 16:10

Hello, is it too late to join?

I am 5'1" and this exact time last year I was 10 stone 5.

I was a strong and active 8.5 stone from age 22 to 46 then covid work wfh and peri hit at the same time and I put 2 stone on in 2 years - I had not a single item of clothing I could wear except 1 bra, pyjamas and some oversized bed tshirts I bought for sleeping in and the obligatory leggings.

I slowly got down to 9.8 by Christmas and now I'm at 9 stone by cutting sugar and doing more active things. I just want to return to the 8.5 I was 2 years ago and I'm getting fit along the way.

So, 7lbs to go

but not in a huge rush. By May would be nice so I can finally dust off my old spring clothes that haven't seen light for years!

Iamblossom · 27/02/2024 18:50

That's impressive @77poundstogo

Could you share some meal ideas that work well for you? Thanks!

Iamblossom · 28/02/2024 10:14

so sad about porridge also :-(

CheesecakeandCrackers · 29/02/2024 20:52

I'm feeling rubbish. I've been calorie counting and increasing walking since I joined and weighted myself today...have put on a kg. Don't get me wrong I'm not starving myself but it's made me feel down to have done what I thought would get me to the point of a gradual reduction and to have gained is really disappointing.

Iamblossom · 02/03/2024 11:09

@CheesecakeandCrackers that is very disheartening.

The only thing that works for me is eating less.

7poundstogo · 02/03/2024 11:24

A 2llb addition isn't much @CheesecakeandCrackers - I weigh myself every day but only write down when I've gone below my previous low. I do seem to put on a couple of pounds then lose it to a bit lower than before on about a 1 week cycle - I reckon it's muscle gain from extra activity - maybe yours is too?

I'm teetering just below 9 stone now at 8 stone 13.6 llbs, so literally quarter a pound down in 5 days.
That may well go back up to 9 stone 1llb by Monday but then back down to 8.13 by Wednesday. I won't write Mondays figure down but I'll write Wednesdays IYSWIM?

I'll take it!

CheesecakeandCrackers · 02/03/2024 15:14

Ah maybe I should be weighing more regularly, I felt my waist was slightly smaller but my thighs bigger in my jeans which is why I weighed. Have cut down eating massively as my issue tends to be snacking but I could cut more from my main portions. Had a take away for lunch today though as we all needed cheering up after the school entry results yesterday but I'll not be eating again today
