Not much to lose

Is anyone in the same situation?

I've put on a couple of kg over Christmas and haven't really got my head back in the normal eating game yet 😬

So my starting weight is 66.2kg. I'm aiming to get back under 64kg.

I love working out and walking, so exercise isn't an issue. It's just the snacking that needs to reduce! Hopefully posting here will help me.

I haven't posted for ages -my weight just won't change from 57.5kg. I'm doing the Lucy Wyndham Read workouts and my tum is flatter and she says to not bother with scales so maybe I'm toning up? Will have to try on one of my old dresses...

mrssunshinexxx · 04/02/2024 08:05

Hi please can I join 5ft 6 and 10st 1.5
Been wanting to lose my pre pregnancies half a stone for 2 years now !!
Have recently started reformer Pilates 3/4 times a week and can see a change in my body but scales aren't budging, I dip in and out of fasting. Did it for my wedding 6 years ago and jt worked amazingly. I really should do it daily as would avoid all the morning playgroups biscuits and cakes'
I'm not a huge meat lover can I have some healthy high protein snack options pls that aren't meat??

Hi all. I've been very quiet on here, but have been reading and lurking! Well done to everyone for progress and/or keeping on.

I'm feeling a bit frustrated as I'm not losing any weight (& have actually gained a pound this week!). I'm short, currently 8 stone 4 and know I don't have a lot to lose, but I definitely do need to lose a few pounds.

For those of you who do some form of IF/skip breakfast, have any of you found that 'mixing things up' a bit helps? I generally don't eat breakfast, but think I've heard somewhere that maybe your body gets used to this?

Sorry, long post! Maybe I just need to keep going and hopefully see some results soon!

mrssunshinexxx · 04/02/2024 15:34

@Magnolia82 do you have any hot drinks with milk in ? I've read black tea or coffee only and ideally you should only have water

SpongeBlobSquareFace · 05/02/2024 06:00

56.9kg yayyyy

BurntOrange · 05/02/2024 09:42

Weighed in this morning... 1 and a 1/4 pounds off! Was hoping for 2 off but still, it's going in the right direction!

Starting weight - 14th Jan - 11st 10lb
Todays weight - 05th Feb - 11st 5 and 3/4lb
Goal weight - 01st April - 10st 10lb

Seemed a bit pedantic to say 5 and 3/4 but I don't wanna round it up 🤣🤣

Magnolia82 · 05/02/2024 09:51

@mrssunshinexxx No, I mainly drink water in my fasting window (16:8) and occasionally black coffee. I had wondered about throwing in the occasional breakfast to mix things up, but actually think I might try and do an occasional longer fast. I'm short and don't have a lot to lose, so trying to work out what to do as I'm currently not managing to lose any weight.

Iamblossom · 05/02/2024 11:45

Still 9 3, but happy to have maintained over a weekend.

Starving today though! 14km run yesterday which is probably why but I can't eat back my exercise cals or I gain weight. Seem very unfair. #firstworldprobems

HowDoYouMakeThem · 05/02/2024 14:57

My weight continues to yo yo about. Probably not helped by having McDonalds for dinner last night 😂

My husband is away at the moment so me and the kids are having easy dinners.

I hope everyone has an ok Monday. It's been so grey here today.

No loss here but I think I might be due on as feeling really bloated and had a good day food wise yesterday and today. I'm also coming down with a cold so not feeling good about myself full stop - in fact quite tired and teasy !

HowDoYouMakeThem · 05/02/2024 16:16

Sorry you're not feeling good @Findingmeagain

How's everyone doing?

I'm eating at maintenance so far this week. I'm listening to my body and it feels right.

I worked hard to heal my relationship with food when I became a parent (12 years ago now). I used to be stuck in cycles of binge/restrict so I'm really mindful of not falling into those old patterns.

Not weighing today as it is my birthday and there have to be concessions made.... 😁

Have been out for a delicious lunch and had a few glasses but I think it will be my only meal of the day so hopefully not too damaging.

HowDoYouMakeThem · 07/02/2024 17:47

Happy birthday @Iamblossom 🥳

Really struggling this week as not having a great week with car and money troubles....I struggle not to eat my feelings! Trying to stop snacking and just found a left behind bag of chocolate coins we didn't eat at Christmas!

HowDoYouMakeThem · 07/02/2024 17:47

Happy birthday @Iamblossom 🥳

Thankyou very much 😍

Letsrunabath · 08/02/2024 09:17

Happy belated birthday lamblossom. Well done everyone for your losses maintains and posts on fluctuations.

I saw the wonderful numbers 9.stone.6 on my scales on Monday, so a loss of 9lbs since I started in January.
I do fast only 1 cup of black coffee before getting out of bed in the morning then water till 12.
I think my goal weight will take at least 3 months to get too as I’m sure things will slow down now, but I dared to look at myself in my undies in the mirror and I can see a difference so feel good about that.
Chinese New Year this weekend and going out with friends, want to enjoy my food and drink so will low carb for a few days before and after.

Iamblossom · 09/02/2024 08:51

Yeah, newsflash, birthday weeks and going out for 3 meals and having rather alot to drink isn't conducive to weight loss people.

A pound on.

So a pound lost over all. Urg.

Skiing next week too..... 🍷🧀

Iamblossom · 09/02/2024 08:53

SW 9 5.8
CW 9 4.8
GW 8 10

Letsrunabath · 09/02/2024 11:34

Don’t worry about the skiing, lamblossom, I all ways find the activity burns all the extra calories.

HowDoYouMakeThem · 10/02/2024 08:28

I've stayed the same this week. It's what I expected and deserve! But we keep on!

SW on 07.01.24 was 66.2kg
CW 64.7kg
GW under 64kg

I have various events this week that involve eating 😬. Starting with a champagne afternoon tea today 😋

So I honestly don't expect a loss the week either but let's see if I can continue to maintain 🤞🏻

Just weighed myself ,,,, a gain of 3lbs. Moved the scales to a different place, still a gain of 3lbs, looks like I must try harder.

CheesecakeandCrackers · 10/02/2024 10:36

Joining. Weighed myself this week as my jeans wouldnt fasten and had gone up to 59kg. That puts me just into overweight so I want to lose at least 3kg slowly go get back towards my usual size ideally by Easter. I am aiming to reduce calories but ate 2000 yesterday so it's not going well! Just taking it easy at the moment but want to work towards being a bit more conscious about food generally so it is less of a daily struggle not to eat 3 bags of crisps...

Letsrunabath · 10/02/2024 11:02

Welcome cheesecake and crackers.

MoonieDoo · 10/02/2024 15:56

Happy belated Birthday @Iamblossom! Enjoy your champagne tea @HowDoYouMakeThem, sounds amazing!

I'm home alone and I just had a portion of cabbage as a snack. I can't believe it's come to this, but when you're short it's so easy to overeat. I want to save my calories for the fun times in life like you lot.

There's so much sodding chocolate in this house...
