Helllooooooooo

Well, here we are in a lovely fresh new thread. Hi BOOP, thanks for getting us all started. Are you usually up this early?

lastqueenofscotland · 01/02/2017 06:10

Morning Boop! Thanks for the new thread :)

BitOutOfPractice · 01/02/2017 06:13

Not usually this early. But I've got a lot in my mind so I think I've seen every hour on the clock

Not looking forward to weighing in either.

I'm a little ray of sunshine aren't I? Grin

Ive eighed in Confused

With my holiday gain I've ended January 9lbs down. Which I know is great but before the holidays I was heading for s stone at one point so that feels disappointing

lastqueenofscotland · 01/02/2017 07:07

Boop that's great!!

Squiffy01 · 01/02/2017 07:09

arch pizza in Australia is terrible isn't it, I think something like pizza express would really take off there.
Where abouts are you?

Thanks for the new thread! I'm loving it and you all absolutely would have given up by now if I didn't have it.

Pinkvici22 · 01/02/2017 07:10

Thanks for the new thread. Despite my grumpiness, I'm in for Feb!

BitOutOfPractice · 01/02/2017 07:13

Come on Pink. Just think you could be another half a stone down by march 1

Those pizza express leggera pizzas are quite good value for the calories I think. At least it's an option for eating out.

Thanks for the new thread BOOP - 9lbs for the month is nothing short of amazing, especially when you have had a holiday in there too. Be kind to yourself, especially if you have other stuff going on. Flowers I saw every hour last night too, got a poorly DS2. Sad

I am starting Feb down just over 5lbs - it was 7 there for a few glorious days but twas not to be. But I saw it on the scale and I know I will see it again.

ArseyTussle · 01/02/2017 07:17

Morning all! I'm embarking on February 9.7lb down! Shurely shome mishtake. Grin

lastqueenofscotland · 01/02/2017 07:24

I managed the half stone I was really
Hoping for 8/9 but wasn't to be!

Is anyone working on something new this month?

I'm working on portion size (I think mine are still too big) and not diving headfirst into office snacks as often as I have been!

KikisDeliveryService · 01/02/2017 07:29

Dear February

What I would like is to see 10 stone single figure on the scales and to stay there. I do not want to continue hovering at the 10.12 mark any longer. We've seen too much of each on and off other these past few months.

Love Kiki

Ps, thank you for the lovely new thread boop

Pinkvici22 · 01/02/2017 07:35

Thanks everyone!! You all seem very focussed so I'm hoping your positivity will rub off on me!!Flowers

BitOutOfPractice · 01/02/2017 07:38

I'd love to know what we've lost in total. A shed load that's for sure

Oh no pony what's up with your ds Sad

Can I join for February? I meant to join in Jan, but kept "forgetting"
I have absolutely no excuse for the extra stone and a half I'm hefting round. Baby is going to be one this month. Confused

Chardonnay73 · 01/02/2017 07:44

That's to bastararding AF I still haven't shaken last weeks gain so 10.5 lb for me. Which I'm pissed off about as had gone into a new stone bracket and now am teetering at xx.0.5, hopefully will see that by Friday!
Given myself a shake, I would never have dreamed that I could lose this much in a month on 1st Jan. Want to do 7lbs at least in Feb to leave 4lb in the first 2 weeks of March to get me to my 1.5stone goal by 15th March and holiday time with Boop!
Grits teeth and pulls up big girl pants
Onwards and downwards girls!!

Chardonnay73 · 01/02/2017 07:47

Boop don't be sad, you've done so well and bet the holiday was worth it. You've got a lot on your plate, be kind to yourself eh? Xxx

BitOutOfPractice · 01/02/2017 07:56

The being kind to myself today entails a beer and cheese tasting evening. it's all about denial for me isn't it? Grin

Yeah I'm ok. Just you know that rush you get when you've had a good loss, it feels like a real disappointment when you put it back on

You have done so amazingly well! I can't wait to see the new you xx

Morning all!

Thank you for the new thread! I've put on another 3/4 lb today so that's 1 1/4 gain, but 10lb loss overall for Jan. Bit cross but hoping it's just a fluctuation and try and shake it off by weigh day on Friday.

Onwards and upwards for a successful feb for everyone! Let's blast another 7 each!!!

Chardonnay73 · 01/02/2017 08:03

I shall wear a carnation and carry a copy of the Times so you know it's me 😂
Re baby weight, I got down to my lowest after I'd had my 2nd - lost 28 lbs.
Then 6 months later my eldest got diagnosed with autism, and I seated misery eating and didn't stop for 2 years 🙄
This is the weight I'm losing now, and it's taken me 7 years to get to this point Blush

Chilver · 01/02/2017 08:05

Eek, been thinking about joining, but that would mean have to weigh myself (runs screaming from the scales...)

I was also toying with the idea of sugar free February based on a cancer Research (I think) promotion. Seeing as my extra 3 stone is due in part to cancer.....

No diets/ healthy eating attempts have resulted in losing weight other than an initial 4lbs loss for the past 3 years. My body is pretty stubborn now post menopause. Any great tips to kick start my attempt this time??

BitOutOfPractice · 01/02/2017 08:21

Chilver hello! People here are doing various plans. 5:2, 16:8, BSD. I personally am calorie counting with MFP.

Hi Chilver

This is the best thread on MN you'll be in good hands

KikisDeliveryService · 01/02/2017 08:29

Chilver Join us! How are you now illness-wise?

I'm sugar free on weekdays (with occasional 2 weeks of none at all after holidays and Christmas). When I had lots to lose (4 stone) I found just making small changes made a big difference and shifted 2 stone without too much difficultly - looking at my portion sizes, cutting back on carbs, less alcohol, no biscuits, walking around more - that sort of thing. Each small change with positive effects can set you up for challenging yourself even more with stuff like couch to 5k programmes.

Weighing is a necessary evil but you absolutely don't have to tell us. Seeing the numbers go down is motivating though. Measuring is good too, or a favourite outfit that doesn't fit.

Get that first 4lbs off again and keep on these threads for motivation to continue.
