I think anyone who completes a 10K should be proud of themselves and close to an hour is blooming good

Trying to eat very little over the next two days as away on Wednesday for a night with a fancy lunch, wine and gin all certainties.

M&S wholesome grain pot for lunch with some fruit, I think it's their fancy version of a pot noodle albeit quinoa not noodles......328 calories and I'm still hungrySad

I must start running next week
I must start running next week
I must start running next week.........

BitOutOfPractice · 20/02/2017 15:02

Oh Slenderistas you'd be proud of me. Been out to a trés swanky Mayfair eaterie. I had half a bread roll, grilled some with plain new potatoes and spinach and a coffee for dessert plus half a bottle of wine I've omitted to mention

Flowers Arch - what everyone else said. Definitely celebrate your DD's progress in some way, and definitely look into talking to someone about it. It's a massive thing to have happened to your family.

Well done BOOP. you saved so many calories that you deserved the wine

QuimReaper · 20/02/2017 17:23

Hellaaaaaaair slenderistas!

So my Friday went well. I was detained on the way to a meeting so ducked into Boots for a weigh-in with just a few mins to spare, and... the bloody BMI machine was down. Didn't have time to go to a different one so scarfed a sandwich so I wouldn't faint in the meeting, and a coffee to have during.

Then got to the meeting and found I'd written down the start time wrong and was 2hrs early Blush I was so annoyed, I didn't know what to do with myself for 2hrs and if I hadn't just shoved a sandwich down my gob it would've been the perfect opportunity to go to a different Boots for a weigh-in! So no idea if my good behaviour of last week paid off or not. That's two weeks running my weigh-in's been scuppered. And then it was DH's birthday weekend so there was a whole lot of eating and drinking.

BUT BUT BUT BUT - incredible NSV! I have a pair of high-waisted skinny jeans which I haven't worn in years. I found a pair a size larger on eBay and even they didn't fit Blush But this morning I was hunting through the chaos that is my belongings since the builders arrived, and dragged out the old jeans and thought "hmm, I wonder if..." AND THEY FIT! The original ones, not the size-bigger ones! I couldn't believe it! And it was unseasonably warm so I went sashaying off to the supermarket wiggling my bum the whole way Grin I was bulging out of them a bit but I don't care, I haven't worn jeans in years and years, it felt amazing!

We're out for dinner tonight for DH's Actual Birthday so the revelry will continue, but I've only had about 300 calories so I've at least kept my powder dry.

QuimReaper · 20/02/2017 17:26

Kiki thanks for noting my absence Flowers I was eating and boozing with DH and didn't want to show my greedy face Blush

I am seriously impressed with all this running! Amazing PB time Archie and CHRIST queenie, a half marathon!

Have you got your joggers on yet TV?

TVHubbyClaire · 20/02/2017 17:53

Next week Quim next week.....Well done you on the jeans NSV!!

teaping · 20/02/2017 18:53

Congratulations all, we've made it through Monday!

I was +2lbs on the scales this morning but I'm desperately hoping it was just a blip because I was pretty good all weekend and feel it was undeserved!

Well done quim, that must have felt fantastic! Wooohooooo!! I've got a skirt that is my equivalent of those jeans, but I'm a long way off getting it even close to done up!

FreeNiki · 20/02/2017 18:59

Well done to all the runners and golden days.

Just bailed out of a GRIT class as I literally couldnt manage it for some reason.

Ive been doing this 1200 calories since january and exercising loads
Ive lost 4lbs. Thats it.

Why am i even bothering?

lastqueenofscotland · 20/02/2017 21:09

Nearly golden day!

Niki 4lbs is not bad!! Keep on going and you will get there I am sure

willhazboz · 20/02/2017 21:18

Hello! I hope everyone has had a nice weekend. Mine got a bit wild with food and drink so I put my head in the sand! Weighed myself on Friday and had lost 3lb I have put some back on but not going to count as a proper weigh in until next Friday.
I've been trying to do 16:8 but first day and it's gone a bit wrong. Had lunch at 12 but then evening didn't go as planned (husband late from work) so didn't eat tea till 8 and then had a whitworth shot. (Thanks to the people that posted pictures of them...was bloody lovely!) I've had a mackerel salad today and stir fry with prawns and chorizo but no noodles. Also been on a big walk with the kids and dog.
Some really good reading on here! Even considering looking at parkrun...and I don't run!

Stellar67 · 20/02/2017 21:25

Well done quim on the NSV.

4lbs is excellent Niki. I know it must feel like a blow after all that work you've done but it's bloody good work. Have you measured your inches?

I used to run slowly. But I have plantar fasciitis and fallen arches that burn like mad. So I sometimes cycle.
And today I avoided the steam room and swam for 45 minutes while the DC went for lessons.

I'm tired!

I can't remember who mentioned them but I bought those Whitworth shots today. Oh my goodness what a find. I had two "shots" after dinner. They are my new favourite.

Stellar67 · 20/02/2017 21:27

Ha! Will. Cross post with the Whitworth shot love. Which one did you have? I had toffee
Pecan and then chocolate orange. Better than a chocolate orange I'd say.
Grin

willhazboz · 20/02/2017 21:37

I had the chocolate orange as well. I'm a sucker for deserts so really satisfied my craving! Though I seem to have an inability to stick to a diet for more than 3 days so I'll see if they do the trick for a bit longer.

Archduke · 21/02/2017 01:18

Hello hello hello, thank you all for the kind thoughts. Feeling MUCH better today, had a little cry on the phone to my mum this morning Blush I'm 48 FGS. But y'know we all need our mums now and again.

I've just googled Whitworth shots - are they like biscuits? I couldn't work it out from the website. Yet another thing we don't get over here. Honestly Australian supermarkets are the crappest of crap. I went to buy the kids something nice for their school lunches and there is literally nothing, so came away with croissants again. I long for a Waitrose or M&S, actually Tescos would do.

However, today's win is I BOUGHT A VEGGETTI! I know I'm a bit late to this but have wanted one for aaaages, I can't wait until dinner time to shred up some zucchinni. Tragically I really am proper thrilled by this purchase Grin

Quim that is a top NSV, well done! You must feel fabulous, being able to fit in new clothes opens up so many lovely possibilities.

Nikki don't be downhearted mate, when did you start this, at the beginning of Jan or later on? 4lbs is a good steady loss. Honestly, I've only been doing this since last November and have lost 20lbs, at times it's felt so slow and dispiriting but you've gotta just hoik your pants up and stick at it. Change WILL happen but it takes time. Remember that the alternative is to give up and stay fat (which is not the end of the world but it's not why we're doing this). Think about all the good things you are doing for yourself, getting fit, eating healthily, taking care of yourself, getting more energy, better sleep, losing weight is a side effect of all these other fantastic benefits.

BitOutOfPractice · 21/02/2017 04:12

Morning! Glad you feel better Archie Flowers** i also still need my mom too!

Nikki as the others have said, don't be downhearted. It will happen. I was wondering if you've been doing too much exercise?

Quim that is atop top nsv. Great feeling!

What part of the supermarket do I find these fabled Whitworth shots in?

OP posts:
willhazboz · 21/02/2017 06:28

I would imagine the dried fruit and nut section BOOP. They are like sachets of flavoured dried fruit and seeds. Under 100 calories a shot. I just searched them on my online shop though so not actually got them from the shop.

lastqueenofscotland · 21/02/2017 07:18

9st 10 this morning after a golden day. Didn't think I'd lose half a stone this month but I've only got 2lbs to go.

Arch I still cry to my mum all the time! Glad you are feeling better.

Squiffy01 · 21/02/2017 07:23

Confused I thought you were all talking about a drink! Haha

I'm so down this week not sure why possibly as AF is two weeks early quite odd cause that never happens. I just can't get my head in the game, snacking on everything.

Park run does sound good, my sister has started doing it in Australia and is loving it. I should look if there are any around me.

Well done on fitting in the old shorts that is always such a great feeling.

HairsprayBabe · 21/02/2017 08:24

Morning all, 11.10 today so all the damage from the weekend is gone, still back at square one for the month but it is better than a gain and we still have a week to go!

I might give up the booze for lent, though I have two weddings to go to so not sure if it is feasible. It is so tough being such a social butterfly...

Also a lovely NSV from my trip this weekend, best mate said my jeans were hanging off me, she was not wrong, other friend demanded I try on her size 12's... they fit! Very snugly mind you... but they fit! Shock
Jeans NSV's are the best, jeans don't lie Quim!

Stellar67 · 21/02/2017 08:35

Superb hairspray!

This is all good. I'm feeling another golden day here. Im going to an exercise class tonight so that will stop the eating. And I got an assignment finished last night so I feel like there's a weight been lifted.

Shots are in dried fruit aisle. Not to be confused with shots in alcohol aisle Wink

lastqueenofscotland · 21/02/2017 09:13

Hairspray I'm giving up alcohol for lent too.

Those gin calories add up sadly

BitOutOfPractice · 21/02/2017 10:07

Good day; outfit rethink because trousers so big that they were falling down

Bad day: 2 hours by the side of the M1 after my tyre blew

OP posts:
FreeNiki · 21/02/2017 10:43

How can you do too much exercise?

TVHubbyClaire · 21/02/2017 10:43

BOOP - the good outweighs the bad...

I weighed in today and although no losses I am not carrying any extra Lindas around with me either.Smile
Still 12st 13 1/2 which is about as good as I can hope for because of weekend away and general lack of exercise.

I definitely want to get back on track next week, not sure I will lose 7 Lindas by end of March so am thinking anything below 12st 10 would be good.

It feels like a blooming long haul but I know I am close to tightening belt by a hole very soon, if I can achieve that and wear tightened belt for a full day at work it will feel like a big NSV
