Well my goodness. Thread 7. Warriors, we are 6 months in! How life has changed.

To all of you who have made it: many, many congratulations and good luck with the continued maintenance. To the rest of the team still climbing that mountain: we got this, let’s bloody go!!

SW 103.9kg / 16.4 stone
CW 73.4kg / 11.6 stone
TW 72.2kg / 11.4 stone (top end healthy BMI)
Dream weight 68kg / 10.7 stone

Reeeeeeally want to get to target weight before holiday in 10 days time so time really is ticking now! Feel like one of the Lionesses: must keep my cool, bang it in the back of the net and get the job done.

You are all absolutely amazing and the continued support on this group is incredible.

Onwards and downwards! Godspeed for thread 7! xx

P.S. have clearly plagiarised some phrases from some of you good people. Hope you don’t mind: feel they’re part of our thing as a group now so please take it as flattery!

Thanks for setting up the next page.

I can relate to many of your comments. I noticed in Pilates the other day, it really hurt to lay on my side and do side leg raises because of my hip bones. The instructor saw my distress and got me another mat which helped.

My bum and boobs are still big, but I am losing weight proportionally (except for my lower belly). I have gone from a 38f, to a 36f and now a 34f. I went into the loft last night to sort through all my smaller clothes from 3 years ago. All the 14s fit comfortably now, and about half of the 12s. I can get in the other 12s and do them up, or the dresses are too clingy and show every limo and bump, so it's not a good look.

I only have a stone to go as well, and feeling like that's ok, as my weight is coming off so evenly, so I don't think I will have a too thin face. It's just annoying that although my waist is tiny compared to rest of me, but this annoying lower belly bean bag (and sides too if I'm honest) looks so our of place, as the fat bits really are just this thin strip that is hidden in my M&S pants. Also annoyed it overhangs a bit, as it definitely wasn't like that at this weight 3-4 years ago, so it's not something that has been there all my life. Very annoyed, as it has no business being there in my opinion 😂 It is an 'it' as well! Nothing to do with me 🤣

OntheTrainX · 31/07/2025 16:37

Thanks for the thread!

Close to target, but so nauseous on 10mg. I have two doses left and I can’t wait to finish in a fortnight’s time. I hate injecting.

Very worried about staying slim afterwards but I like how I look now (apart from the stomach apron!) and how fit I feel, so hopefully that will motivate me. I’ve had enough of MJ now, even words like “jabs” and “sharps bin” make me feel sick. 🤢

SkintSingleMumm · 31/07/2025 17:11

Hello 👋

anyone else noticed increased flexibility eg lifting legs that no longer feel like heavy weights, able to crouch down and stay there longer without it hurting?

SpiralSister · 31/07/2025 17:22

Wotcher warriors! Thanks for the new thread 💐

Mounjaroday · 31/07/2025 17:25

@SkintSingleMumm defo noticed marked improvement in mobility. I guess it had just crept up so slowly over 20 years, totally didn't realise the impact.

@OntheTrainX know what you mean! Although now can’t get my head around living life without MJ … in my head am still obese and need to lose all the weight!

@PurpleCoo my lower belly is defo the area holding the most blubber now. Alas, my arse has disappeared! Good luck wrestling that final stone.

Hi @SpiralSister MJ warrior! I blatantly stole the warrior thing from you didn’t I! 😂

Steal with pride, sister! 😂

WoolerOwl · 31/07/2025 18:19

My lower belly is all blubbery too. My control pants were doing all the heavy lifting work. But they're not very nice to wear in hot weather, so I'm gradually getting used to high waist "robust" cotton ones. Still, it's all better than it was.

I am aching from the PT session. But it does feel good too.

I've just taken my 23rd jab. Still on 7.5mg. Will probably go up to 10mg next month. Planning an official weigh in at the end of August. 23.6kg lost so far. My suitcase allowance for Saturday's holiday is 22kg. I can't believe I was carrying that much excess baggage around with me.

Thanks for the new thread!

Zibb · 31/07/2025 20:43

Thanks for the new thread!

I started thread 6 at 85.6kg. Starting thread 7 at 77.5kg. 8 weeks and 4 days to lose 8.1kg. Which is a good rate of loss I think but also feels impossibly slow when I have to lose another 19.5kg. So at least another 20 weeks until goal.

Trying not to think about that though. Next goal is 69.3kg, which is 8.2kg away. That feels doable. So hopefully by the start of thread 8 I will be at that first goal!

skyscrapersinging · 31/07/2025 20:54

@Zibb you'll get there, it’s just the process you have to go through. At least now with MJ you know you can and will get there. I’ve started and given up on so many diets in the last ten years, but I’ve actually been able to stick it out this time and reach my goal. You will too!

Catmum100 · 31/07/2025 21:21

Thread 7! I'm on week 26 and have lost 30lb. I have 8lb to go and it's feeling like it's taking so long! I'm impatient to finish, though I'm going to stay on MJ to maintain for a while. So I'm expecting it to be another 8 weeks to get to target as I average 1lb a week. And still only one person has noticed I've lost any weight 🤣

I feel so much better, I feel like me again. I'm so glad I took the plunge as it's given me my life back.

I would never have believed it if you told me this at Christmas!!
slow & steady.

An average of 500 g Lost per week.

hoorah!

May the force be with you for the rest of the summer weeks & into autumn.

MJSpideySenses · 01/08/2025 07:38

Jumping in on the new thread!

6 months! Yay for us!

15st0.8 down to 12st2.8
Nowhere near as much as I hoped for but I'm feeling good overall.

I'm on holiday at the moment and I've been able to do so much more walking, put on a swimsuit without feeling awful and just enjoy eating without feeling disgusted with myself after. It has been great.

Wonder what we'll all be saying in another 6 months!

narkyspirit · 01/08/2025 08:09

new thread, first day on 10mg Pen, week 25 begins

SW 95.9 BMI 37.2
CW 79.5 BMI 30.7

loss has been 16.4 kg = 17.1% of body weight

Not where I wanted to be at beginning of August but need to work harder at this for end of the month target of 75.5KG 11st 13 not great but starts with an 11 so ok

Not a great loss last week 0.1KG but I' ve been working away for the last 4 days and in restaurants with clients each day so I suppose to be expected. no gym this week but have been walking 4-5 miles a day so not all bad but, not good enough! this coming week is back to the gym and more sensible food I think

Keep going everyone your doing awesome

Paulahoust · 01/08/2025 08:16

Struggling a bit with hair loss at the moment. It’s coming out in handfuls every time I brush it 😳. I’m hoping it will start to ease off soon or else I’ll be bald!

Due to go up to 12.5mg this evening, have dithered a bit about going up as 10mg has been good for me but the food noise is definitely back so I think I’m going to take the plunge. I can always drop down again next week.

Herefordian · 01/08/2025 09:14

Thanks for the new thread.

SW 13st 11lb
CW 10st 10lb

My bmi is around 26 but my waist/height ratio is spot on so I want to maintain now. I’m happy (and amazed) with how I look. I couldn’t tolerate 7.5mg so for most of the last 6 months I’ve taken 5mg. I tried 2.5mg last month for a couple of weeks but could feel my old habits creeping back. But 5mg gives me a loss of around 1.5lb per week which I don’t want. Looks like 3.75mg might be my sweet spot? I’m finding this maintenance lark really really hard. A little voice in my head is saying, lose a few more lbs then you can have a blow out! MJ has sorted out my physical weight but not my emotional obesity.

I think my hair loss is slowing down a bit but I had a false dawn a few weeks ago so I can't be sure. I can't believe how thin my hair has got 😫

I done a fair bit of research and checked that I did have regrowth and that it wasn't breakage - I'm going to double check this next week with my hairdresser - and going by a typical telogen effluvium timeline, it should start slowing a lot in the next couple of weeks for anyone that started losing a lot of weight in February. With a more stable weight loss it should resolve completely within 3-6 months. I bloody hope so! The cycle can repeat though and you can continue to lose hair even while it regrows so although I'm dying to get the rest of the weight off, I would rather do it slowly and steadily than lose so much hair again.

Seventyandcounting · 01/08/2025 10:18

Loving the amazing stories from everyone. I’m still struggling only losing 1lb per week but still getting strong symptoms so can’t have higher dose, on 3.75 atm. Now lost 24lbs bmi 29 but thighs are still ginormous, losing a lot from face (not flattering at my age as getting deep wrinkles) and top half. Nobody commented so far apart from hubby though I’m sure it is noticeable. I will Koko until my holiday in Sept. Thank you all for inspiring me.

I really hope it slows down soon. It looks ok tied back at work but is so flyaway when I have it down. I look like a mad professor 😂

eleanorwish · 01/08/2025 14:23

NSV for me. A few weeks ago I tried on some size 18 slim fit jeans. I could fasten them but they looked awful, really accentuated my big belly, they hugged every curve! Tried them again today and they fit. Now the belly fits in nicely, and they even feel like they are falling down!

SkintSingleMumm · 01/08/2025 15:08

Just about to order my third 7.5mg pen. Im still getting fantastic suppression with 7.5 so im sticking with it for another month
