Well my goodness. Thread 7. Warriors, we are 6 months in! How life has changed.

To all of you who have made it: many, many congratulations and good luck with the continued maintenance. To the rest of the team still climbing that mountain: we got this, let’s bloody go!!

SW 103.9kg / 16.4 stone
CW 73.4kg / 11.6 stone
TW 72.2kg / 11.4 stone (top end healthy BMI)
Dream weight 68kg / 10.7 stone

Reeeeeeally want to get to target weight before holiday in 10 days time so time really is ticking now! Feel like one of the Lionesses: must keep my cool, bang it in the back of the net and get the job done.

You are all absolutely amazing and the continued support on this group is incredible.

Onwards and downwards! Godspeed for thread 7! xx

P.S. have clearly plagiarised some phrases from some of you good people. Hope you don’t mind: feel they’re part of our thing as a group now so please take it as flattery!

Morning all!

Just checking in. Things are much more back to normal with DH. Thanks again for the hand hold and talking me down from the worst case scenario.

Had a takeaway curry for the first time since being on mj and oh my! Never again. A few minutes of eating it my stomach was cramping and I felt so sick.

I'd actually put on 2lb this week (Monday), but the scales said -3lb this morning. So I'm exactly 14 stone today!

I've ordered some new fancy scales that can tell your muscle mass etc, they should come today. Hopefully I won't have gone up 🤣🤣

Nsv - I have exercised in some way every single day so far this week! Just got back from run 2 week 2 of couch to 5k. Kids came with me on their bikes so I'm hoping this helping to engrain good habits for them too. @WoolerOwl good luck with the gym.

I've emailed a couple of personal trainers for availability as I've absolutely no idea what I'm doing regards to strength training 🤦♀️

Have a wonderful week everyone ❤️

sweetpickle2 · 06/08/2025 13:52

Glad things are okay with your DH @Marypoppinsisnosaint

Another NSV from me (two in one day!)- popped into the charity shop on my lunch hour and picked up a size 12 dress that I really like thinking I'll probably fit into it in a few weeks and if not it's only £3... well it fits now! Means my size 12 jeans the other day weren't a fluke and maybe I'm now actually a 12 in some shops!

SpiralSister · 06/08/2025 14:19

That was me a few weeks ago, @Marypoppinsisnosaint! I do a ‘ladies strength class’ (cringe) which is actually brilliant - a small group of women are coached through exercises by a PT, which makes it cheap and accessible. My main concern was hurting myself as I was completely clueless. The improvement is startlingly rapid. Good luck!

CoolLimeSheep · 06/08/2025 15:05

@WoolerOwl you look amazing.
Wow to all of you on your nsvs your all absolutely amazing and so many achievements 👏

NSV been having lovely chats with a colleague who is also into clothes styles. Yesterday she actually asked me "what no more tops with black trousers" as I'm wearing such different clothes (patterns and styles) on this trip. 😁

Lol. You picked the right name then?!

new thread, first day on 10mg Pen, week 25 begins

SW 95.9 BMI 37.2
CW 79.5 BMI 30.7

loss has been 16.4 kg = 17.1% of body weight

Not where I wanted to be at beginning of August but need to work harder at this for end of the month target of 75.5KG 11st 13 not great but starts with an 11 so ok

Not a great loss last week 0.1KG but I' ve been working away for the last 4 days and in restaurants with clients each day so I suppose to be expected. no gym this week but have been walking 4-5 miles a day so not all bad but, not good enough! this coming week is back to the gym and more sensible food I think

Keep going everyone your doing awesome

Crikey, how do you walk 4/5 miles a day? I struggle with upping my exercise but know I should do!

I tend to do a couple of walks of around 2 miles a day sometimes a little longer, there where also some steps to walk up whilst I was a away near the hotel just to finish of the walks. at home the gym is about a 1.5 mile walk each way so that and a couple of miles elsewhere later I the day.

Indeed! If she lived in the UK I'd have wondered if she was on here too!

usedtobeaylis · 06/08/2025 23:32

Is anyone finding it takes no time at all to shave their legs now 🤣 what a strange NSV.

Between that and having less hair to wash due to the hair loss and subsequently cutting it shorter, I'm flying through my showers. Tonight however the water drained without me having to remove hair. I feel the hair loss has definitely slowed in the last week or so, fingers crossed!

SkintSingleMumm · 06/08/2025 23:48

Ordered a lovely “new with tags” Ted Baker size 4 jumper off of Vinted. I thought well as thats a size 14 uk ill keep it aside, well it only bloody fits! 🤩

I haven’t noticed that about shaving my legs, but a similarly weird NSV- when I was sat on the loo having a wee before I glanced down and realised I could see my bits (well, my pubic mound) and that normally it would be hidden by my belly!

PerditionCatchMySoul · 07/08/2025 05:53

usedtobeaylis · 03/08/2025 09:01

Week 24 Day 1
SW: 16st 5lb
CW: 13st 3lb
Loss this week: 1lb
Total loss: 3st 2lb

I am officially overweight, BMI 29.9!

If I had logged my weight yesterday it would have been 13st 1lb and so so close to the 12s. I can't even imagine that, it makes my overall target weight sound so much closer. And yet bizarrely, most of my clothes are still the same size. I do have those jeans and a dress that are a size down but nothing else. Is this a height thing maybe? I'm a few inches taller than the average for women. My stomach is doing ok I think, it seems to shrinking proportionately, but my hips are hanging on for dear life. I tried to find exercises that are good for the hips but all I get is endless, endless people smartly saying 'you can't spot target' and that's honestly such an unhelpful response. If I'm in a calorie deficit and doing overhead presses five times a day then that will not help my hips - asking for exercises that do help isn't necessarily looking to spot target, it's looking for something that is helpful for that area, which overhead presses aren't. Is it just me?

I've also nipped my dose up to 8mg this week. I decided against going up to 10 as I'm pretty happy with what is ultimately steady loss. I could go up to 8mg and still get the same number of doses out the pen. Hopefully it will just give a wee extra boost at the end of the week when I feel more hunger and food noise.

Hi! I’ve been googling but can’t find a straight answer - how many clicks did you do on a 7.5 mg pen to get 8? I wanted to get 8.5 and I think it means 70 clicks? So a full dose plus an extra 10 clicks? I’ve only taken one 7.5 mg dose out of my pen and I think I need to increase my dosage for the rest of it as this is my 3rd 7.5 pen and my weight loss has stalled (nothing lost since end of June).

Deciding between increasing dose and jabbing every 6 days….

I get 68 clicks for 8.5
on a 7.5mg pen there is 1mg in every 8 clicks

Thats fab, gives you a good feeling doesnt it?
I love my charity shops, I really cannot remember the last time I bought something new, new. I've bought loads of clothes from there still with the original shops tags on. Feels good to be going down the rails to the smaller sizes, saw a lovely dress that was actually in the charity shop sale 😂. It was a size 16 and like you I thought for a couple of quid I'll buy it, it'll hopefully fit eventually...only bloody fits doesn't it. I've noticed my style has changed too, I always seem to be in dresses lately, from maxi dresses to short ones. I've always had compliments on my legs even before my weight loss so mot bothered about flashing them, a case of nice legs, shame about the face me thinks 😏

I make it 64 clicks for 8mg, 68 clicks for 8.5mg.

skyscrapersinging · 07/08/2025 10:08

@PerditionCatchMySoul here is the clicks conversion chart for all-
monj.co.uk/monj-mounjaro-click-chart/

PerditionCatchMySoul · 07/08/2025 11:18

Thanks all. I have a maths a level and I honestly look at those charts and go cross eyed 🤣 I think it’s laziness 🫣

but yes, 70 clicks would give 8.75 mg. That’s super helpful Thank you!

what would others do if you felt the dose wasn’t enough? Increase clicks or jab earlier?

sc0ttishlass · 08/08/2025 07:17

Morning all, a funny updare having listened to all of your stories about feeling your bones! I had a bath yesterday which was first time in a long while and it actually hurt when my bum hit the bottom of.the bath until I had to maneuver it into position! Not something I ever considered!!!!

Also an ask..im finally having to bite the bullet and buy new work trousers in smaller size. Any recommendations for black trousers? I like the slim fit ankle grazers normally but open to.a change!

SkintSingleMumm · 08/08/2025 10:52

Im finding although the scales have not budged for 2 weeks, im feeling/seeing changes eg my thighs look slimmer to me. Im trusting the process and just continuing to do what im doing! Mentally still fat/huge/size 18. People are starting to notice my weightloss

Catmum100 · 08/08/2025 14:33

My scales have stalled too... I've actually gained the last 2 weeks, 1lb a week. And given that I only lose 1lb a week on average, I'm now essentially a month in to a stall on the scales.

But! I can see my collar bones more, feel my bones more like some of you describe, and think I look thinner. Something is going on, despite the scales. I know I'm in a good calorie deficit, I have good suppression, I eat healthily, I don't drink, i don't have side effects. Its just so frustrating not seeing the results on the scales! No idea if i should just stay on the same dose (7.5) or go up. I have 7lb to go to a BMI of under 25, at least 10lb to goal.

Mounjaronewbie25 · 08/08/2025 14:37

My results from Monday, forgot to post.

Highest weight - 16st 9.5
Mounjaro SW on 15.2.25 - 14st 12
CW - 11st 2

Loss this week: 1 lb
Total loss on Mounjaro: 52 lbs (3st 10)
Total loss overall: 77.5 lbs (5st 7.5)

PurpleCoo · 08/08/2025 14:51

I can really relate to some of the comments today, I am in the same boat. Although I have technically lost today compared to last week, given last week was a gain, in reality I have lost 0.45 in two weeks, which is really rubbish. But I feel slimmer. I have mentioned in the past how freakishly disproportionate my arms were compared to the rest of me, and I am sure some thought I was just being unkind to myself. Well I wasn't, but I have lost 1.25 inches off my upper arm circumference, despite not really losing weight, and despite my other measurements not really changing. I think the body pump is paying off! My arms still look chubby and wobbly, but not out of proportion to the rest of me. Now just for the lower belly bean bag roll to go, although in fairness it's shrinking. I am doing Pilates once a week, so hopefully all that core work will help. I am getting quite good at rotating plank now, and don't need to use my knees. I feel like I can start getting back to regular weights after my shoulder injury, and even increased the weight for the back track today and it was fine. I feel ready to up the weight for squats, but not using the barbell for that track as it hurts my shoulder/upper arm, so might have to raid the gym floor for a 12kg kettle bell instead of a 10kg plate.

So in 25 weeks I have lost 22.1kg, which is ok really. I have taken my second dose of 6.25mg today. Actually typing this, makes me think how odd it is... Knowing well what weights I can lift, at no point am I able to lift equal to what I have lost!!
