Welcome to thread 10 to fellow MN weight loss friends old and new!

Feel free to lurk or post, absolutely no judgement here, just support and encouragement as we’ve successfully navigated Easter and head towards Summer Holiday Season. Stop here to celebrate NSV’s, weight loss milestones and admire our new svelte frames!

I’m on W25 D1 and on my second 7.5mg pen

F in my early 50’s
H 5’ 5.5”
SW 13st 11lb
CW 10st 9lbs
GW 10st (maybe 9st 7lb if I can)
Total loss so far 44lbs

We recommend the Shotsy app to monitor the amount of MJ in the system and pleasing graphs to look at…plus the MeThreeSixty body scan app to monitor inch loss for the weeks where weight loss is slow but you might have lost body fat etc. Both are free.

Feel free to swap recipes that might inspire anyone in a food rut, tips for managing side effects, exercise tips, tips for maintenance, titrating up or down and we love a beauty/ style chat too 🥰

Ooh thanks for the next thread. Title very apt for me -had to buy new swimsuit last week and if I say so myself it looks rather gorge. I’ve been doing the steam and sauna at my local gym and old costume was just hanging off me in not a good way. 😆

MsRumpole · 22/04/2025 00:24

Checking in! Weight still up and very relieved that the holidays are over. Will go up to 7.5mg on next pen. Thanks for the new thread @Mounjaropen !

Just checking in 👋

Following everyone to the new post even though I was crap at posting on the last one!

I have lost just over 4 st now and seem to be at the stage where I'm going through clothes quite quickly which is a bit annoying. I'm currently a 14 in jeans and 12-14 ish in tops but I know that in a stone and a half's time I should be back into a 10 in most shops so only a few lbs is the difference between something fitting or not.

I've just gone up to 10mg but am not sure whether I really should have stayed on 7.5mg.

Dreamqueen · 22/04/2025 06:53

Thank you for new thread and great title @Mounjaropen
I'm happy to eport that the side effects from the bouns 7.5 jab on Saturdy were significantly less. I managed to cook and host guests yesterday. Only DIL noticed to tiny amount on my plate bust she's in on my MJ secret. I watered my wine down with water otherwise I'd have an almightly headache this morning.

Oceangrey · 22/04/2025 07:11

Happy new thread.

Ooh that’s a great tip watering down the wine. I didn’t and have a headache 😂

Checking in as I’ve been a bit MIA.

SW - 17 stone 4lb
CW - 14 stone 5lb
Amount lost - 41lb.

It’s been slooooow. But steady. I see a lot of my size having lost way more. I don’t really see much of a change in the mirror although others are starting to notice, my clothes are looser but I don’t think I could go down a size. I’m going on holiday in 3 and a bit weeks and I’d love to be in the 13’s but the way I’m losing it’s unlikely. I’ll keep on keeping on though and good luck to everyone else!

jay55 · 22/04/2025 08:10

Thanks for new thread.
Not wanting to log on and face work. Glad the may holiday isn’t too long away.

For chocolate cravings I keep a box of flakes for ice cream in the fridge, they’re individually wrapped and less than 50 calories. Enough for a chocolate hit but not enough to feel sickly.
Good to crumble on a yogurt too.

Great to hear from you! Just a pound away from 3 stones is fantastic! And on a par with loads of us (I’m at 44lbs myself). Keep going!

Long weekends are the worst for motivation aren’t they? Good luck getting started!

Great tip about the flakes. Thank you!

I lost 0.6kg while visiting family last week, which is fab! Very happy with that as I know I overate several times.

Thanks for the new thread. Place holding with my 3.5 stone loss badge this morning. Hopefully it doesn't creep back up for my official weigh in on Friday!
It feels wild to be a couple of pounds away from the 15s. The 15s will take me back to 2017 weight-wise and from looking at my fabulous nearly 8 year old niece, that was a while ago now.

TeenLifeMum · 22/04/2025 12:34

This morning’s work team meeting went down a death jab route. Apparently everyone gets them on the black market and it’s the fault of influencers so message to the team, “can we avoid weightless jabs please” with a laugh… And this is why I’m not open about it at work! 🙄

Wow. I mean, that's just... wow.

Reminds me of the time my boss gave me a lecture on some hormone-related supplements that she had discovered and that she wanted me to try... Only they are at the top of the list of things that are unsafe for me after breast cancer, and they aren't even available outside of the US because they're not really considered safe by European standards....

Just don't give medical advice at work. That should be an easy rule to follow...

Goodness. What a strange thing for the meeting chair to preside over. Obviously ignore!

Completely agree. Unsolicited advice about anything non-work related is just a big no.

My weight loss really has stalled for the last month, I've bobbed between 78 and 77 and this too on 7.5. I have another 7.5 in the fridge but am contemplating moving up instead. Not sure what to do!!

Measurements havent moved either and whilst I'm not over eating or binging I am comfortable eating. Still have a long way to go as i haven't even left the obese category!! I have the 5th dose to go from this pen but need to decide asap!!

Tbh school holidays never help and i now have the time to get back into a good movement and eating routine.

Lovely to read how everyone is doing, it’s not an easy journey for sure, but so uplifting.

Last November I would never have believed I would do this and nor how I have changed into the healthy minded person I am today…I’m so thankful for Mounjaro.
