Welcome to thread 10 to fellow MN weight loss friends old and new!

Feel free to lurk or post, absolutely no judgement here, just support and encouragement as we’ve successfully navigated Easter and head towards Summer Holiday Season. Stop here to celebrate NSV’s, weight loss milestones and admire our new svelte frames!

I’m on W25 D1 and on my second 7.5mg pen

F in my early 50’s
H 5’ 5.5”
SW 13st 11lb
CW 10st 9lbs
GW 10st (maybe 9st 7lb if I can)
Total loss so far 44lbs

We recommend the Shotsy app to monitor the amount of MJ in the system and pleasing graphs to look at…plus the MeThreeSixty body scan app to monitor inch loss for the weeks where weight loss is slow but you might have lost body fat etc. Both are free.

Feel free to swap recipes that might inspire anyone in a food rut, tips for managing side effects, exercise tips, tips for maintenance, titrating up or down and we love a beauty/ style chat too 🥰

Weigh in today and I've lost 4.5lbs! After a month of losing just a pound a week I've had my biggest weekly loss since week 1.

I don't feel like I've done anything different this week, apart from my, ahem, clear out last Friday afternoon after the laxative muffins. I'm not questioning it though. I'm not questioning it though, I'm now in the 12's and now just over 4st lost.

@anothercortisolqueen have you spoken to your provider at all? I don't know much about lipedema but I'm sure I saw something saying mj wasn't effective against it even though it appears to be helpful with other types of inflammation.

🥳🥳 OMG! The whoosh of dreams. 4 stone rosette And a new stone bracket! Congratulations!

Off to Asda to purloin the laxative muffins 😂

Weighing in.
W29D7
SW: 19st 9lbs
CW:15st 12lbs
1st GW: 17st 13lbs
2nd GW 15st 4lbs
TL: 3st 11lb

Trying to stop my brain putting a just in front of 'just a pound' off this week, because it's still a pound!

Totally is! well done missus! I’m at 0.4lb so far this week 😭

Congrats @Invisablepanicgreat to have an unexpected whoosh, laxative muffins for the win.

@anothercortisolqueensorry it’s not working out for you, that must be so frustrating.

@PinkArt a pound is a pound and always welcome.

Im losing loads this week and my brain is able to focus on nutrition a bit better. So I’m really happy that I’ve stuck with it through the dreaded stalls. And happy that I took the plunge with 10mg.
Lose it told me I’d lost a microwave since November. Feels like a substantial amount and helps me not compare to the mega losers on the thread.

No justs there either!

@PinkArt 1lb is still the graph going in the right direction 📉

Exactly that. And I'm reminding myself that any other time I've lost weight I'd be skipping with joy at a pound off - it's only because mounjaro has been going so well that my brain wants to add a 'just'. I'll keep shhhhing it!

Advice please.... I am sleeping so badly!

I always sleep badly for the first couple of nights after injecting, but I have been sleeping really badly for 10 days now. I go to sleep easily but wake after a couple of hours, and am wide awake for 2-3 hours before finally dozing off again to wake an hour or so later. I know all the good advice about helping sleeplessness, nothing helping. I remember someone talking about a particular type of Magnesium that helped.

Caplin · 23/05/2025 12:10

Well, after my sad post the other day things are going back in the right direction again. I lost 4 lbs this week, which puts me 1.5lb down on my lightest weight from a couple of weeks ago. Got some kind of period this week which probably explains the gain! They are so irregular I have no idea when they are coming! So yay!

I think I am still going to go up to maybe 6.25 in a couple of weeks and see if things pick up again, less than six weeks to Hawaii and I would love to lose more than a couple of pounds by then! But if things stay slow that is Ok, I’m still the lightest I have been in about a decade!

Next consideration is whether I wear a bikini!!! I think I might, but want a tummy sucking one to hide the mum pouch. So any recommendations much appreciated!

I highly recommend the brand this works. They do a deep sleep pillow spray which always ensures a good night sleep for me. I’ve also been taking magnesium citrate gummy‘s from H and B. They seem to be helping, especially if I wake during the night I seem to fall straight back to sleep. Is your room cold enough? You won’t sleep if it’s too warm either. I always have a disturbed night sleep on the night of my injection.

Another lovely whoosh! Congratulations!

No advice regarding bikinis, I’m just gonna get my mum tum out 😂

edited to say: Hawaii sounds fabulous!

Congratulations on the whoosh! And the fact you are no longer lugging an entire microwave around with you 🙌

Looking in the mirror I’m not sure I want to lose more so focus is now maintaining (my boobs are shrinking and I’m keen to keep them).

I have a 10mg pen but considering trying 5mg by counting. How do I count? Any thoughts/advice very welcome!

60 clicks = 10mg

Therefore 30 clicks = 5mg

I seem to have the opposite problem….I just received a load of 32HH bras and they are too small in the cups. Back to ordering 32j’s which will hopefully arrive by Tuesday! 😂

Thank you so much @Mounjaropen , off to the shops now to get the magnesium citrate.

Mine look a bit sad. Still DD but less full looking when the bra comes off.

counting down to annual leave beginning. I’ve been told I need to rest because I looked “very pale” on teams earlier (from a nice colleague). In fairness, I didn’t bother with makeup today but I am in need of a break. On the plus side, I’ve had a super productive day… though fear I’ve dropped a clanger somewhere. Almost certainly in the email to an exec director. Oh well. Here’s hoping the weather isn’t as bad as predicted and I can get out in the kayak this week.

Just a reminder we’re on the new thread I linked above.

Hi everyone…just an update, lovely to read back how everyone is doing.

Week 26 weigh in for me and it’s 1 lb off, giving me a total loss now of 60lb…just feel really well still on my 5mg pen, month 6 loss is 11lb.

I have realised though that I have been very low in calories this week, because I have a long long way to go my deficit is quite high, but even reducing it to 1500 cal, I am only getting to 800-900 most days…I have a good brunch then meal in evening with fruit etc…but do need to eat more and increase my protein.

I have learned to swim after joining local hotel health club (well I say learned, I am still learning), and I love it, go 2 times a week for few hours ….and that really helps with calories too, so plan to up this week.

Another work colleague said this week…have you have lost weight….yes I said…well you look fab - was nice to hear, but I can even see it myself and I still have an awful lot still to lose 10st😱😱

Anyway enough waffle, have a great week everyone xx
