Welcome to thread 10 to fellow MN weight loss friends old and new!

Feel free to lurk or post, absolutely no judgement here, just support and encouragement as we’ve successfully navigated Easter and head towards Summer Holiday Season. Stop here to celebrate NSV’s, weight loss milestones and admire our new svelte frames!

I’m on W25 D1 and on my second 7.5mg pen

F in my early 50’s
H 5’ 5.5”
SW 13st 11lb
CW 10st 9lbs
GW 10st (maybe 9st 7lb if I can)
Total loss so far 44lbs

We recommend the Shotsy app to monitor the amount of MJ in the system and pleasing graphs to look at…plus the MeThreeSixty body scan app to monitor inch loss for the weeks where weight loss is slow but you might have lost body fat etc. Both are free.

Feel free to swap recipes that might inspire anyone in a food rut, tips for managing side effects, exercise tips, tips for maintenance, titrating up or down and we love a beauty/ style chat too 🥰

@MounjaroMollycongratulations, that’s amazing!!!!

A couple of NSVs for the day. I happily sit in the middle of a row of seats on the tube/dlr without worry now. Used to stand if the end wasn’t free, too worried about thigh spill.
Same in the cinema, I’m still booking end of row in theatres but that’s as I like a quick exit.

And probably TMI but im a lot less sweaty down there after a walk. Feels like there is more room for the breeze to get to me. Will be interesting if this continues when the weather heats up.

I did not disclose to my dentist, which is very unlike me, for the sole reason that he’s my uncle and I didn’t want him to know. He’s very nice but I haven’t told my family (apart from DH) and I was worried he’d tell my dad. I don’t really think he would with professional confidentiality etc, but I felt really uncomfortable about it. I haven’t yet had more than a routine check up though since being on MJ so haven’t been given any meds. I know this isn’t a sensible decision and I would never normally not disclose something like this to a medical professional!

Completely understandable but your uncle would be seriously breaching the rules disclosing anything like that to your Dad.

@qotsa my BMI is 29 so classed as 'overweight'. My 'ideal' weight is between 7st10lb (ridiculous) and 10st5lbs. So, in reality I need to lose 2 stone. If I lost 1 stone, which would be fab, I'd be able to fit into my old clothes. I guess I'll just have to see how it goes.

Hey everyone!
Haven't posted in a while but still been lurking from time to time. So pleased to see how everyone is getting on!!
I've hit 100lb loss (7 stone 2lb) which I just would never have believed was possible when we all started in November!
Still got a very very long way to go (I'm probably just over a third of the way 🫣)
Bought some new clothes 2 sizes smaller last week!

Keep going everyone! ☺️

Wow that’s absolutely amazing how well you’re doing, I too have a lot to lose still.

Started at 28 stone and am now almost 4 stone down….

jay55 · 23/04/2025 15:00

Just had a panicked sounding email from medexpress about referrals. They’re going to be monitoring social media to stop the sharing of codes. Good luck to them with that. Hope it doesn’t push prices up as they’ll need an army (or good bot).

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 23/04/2025 16:13

I just got a text from MedExpress saying that I had 2 days to take down any posts sharing my code. I haven’t got any credit though as no one has ever used it!

Mounjaropen · 23/04/2025 17:34

I've also had the email and texts from MedExpress. Poor old @qotsa probably has the biggest credit balance known to man 😂

Love these NSV's! Well done!

I think tbh I am less sweaty in general

NSV but also kind of not... I tried on the jeans I was planning to wear out this weekend to see if they would go with the top I also planned to wear. Jeans were miles too big. Tried on alternative jeans that I bought a month ago and were a bit tight. Also miles too big. Third pair of jeans also too big. Pair number 4 in desperation were Zara and the smallest size 14 I have seen in modern times - fit perfectly. So at least I have something to wear but I'm a bit miffed as I hadn't had the first three long at all.

I know from losing baby weight that this stage is really annoying in terms of wtf still fits me but it's a lot better than the absolutely nothing fits because it's all too small stage!

Also I am definitely baggier around the middle than I was last time I was this weight, I guess that's a side effect of gaining quickly and losing quickly.

evilharpy · 23/04/2025 18:28

@MounjaroMolly that is an amazing loss, congrats! You must feel amazing! Do you notice a big difference?

@BagQueenBee congrats on 4 stone!

Arglefraster · 23/04/2025 19:04

@MounjaroMollythat's absolutely amazing congratulations!

You must be averaging about 2kg a week 🤯 how?!!

There's a big clamp down from the governing body of the pharmaceutical industry...I'm actually surprised it's taken them this long! Technically, referral codes could be seen as both an incentive to prescribe and promoting to the general public, both of which are against the rules in the UK. Companies can get hefty fines if they're found in breach, especially if it's decided they've brought discredit upon the industry!

My middle is very baggy/saggy too! I'm hoping pilates helps with that as I have zero core strength. It's a buggar to know what will fit isn't it and even stuff that used to fit at this weight doesn't always look right because I'm a different shape. But agree, it's better than everything being too bloody small!

Also sporting a baggy middle here 😭

Good news on the jeans though!

I’ve been cold all day, nothing new, and when dh saw me this evening he put the kettle on and said “I’m making you tea… your lips are actually blue!” (I’m guessing I’m anaemic again - I’m so used to being exhausted I don’t even recognise it anymore).

I am feeling slim and like I can achieve my goal before the summer holidays! Also, wow to some of the amazing losses on here - 3-4 stone off, that’s amazing and not just the jabs, you’re clearly putting the effort in too!

NSV!

Tried on some clothes in Whistles earlier. Size M t-shirts were really rather loose. A size 14 jacket fit well (and it was a very slim fitting style).

Also tried on barrel leg jeans - size 30 was ok, but didn't like the style. I can't figure out what style jeans to wear now. Any thoughts on how to find the perfect style jeans for 2025?!

Woohoo for loose T’s and slim fit jackets 🥳

I’m in my 50’s so I wear the jeans I think that flatter my (new) shape the best. So that is straight leg, flared from the knee or skinny fit. Barrel leg are tricky to get footwear right IMO and I prefer jeans you can dress up or down.

evilharpy · 23/04/2025 20:46

Oh I love my barrel jeans. I've had the Sainsburys ones in three sizes - 16, 14 and now 12 and I'm going to have to buy a 10 as I can't be without them! I wear them with trainers or lace up clompy boots like Grensons.

Anewdawnanewname · 23/04/2025 21:10

MounjNewb · 23/04/2025 08:28

Me too - I have a 100% disclosure policy when it comes to healthcare.

Same. Even when my optician asked if I was on any medication 😂 I’ve also disclosed it before giving blood and all was fine. I had some blood tests done recently and I haven’t spoken to anyone since - no phone call from the dr or anything- but myGP app has told me there’s a prescription ready for me to pick up for iron tablets, so I’m assuming that’s come back low!

IHateMozzies · 23/04/2025 21:23

Another slow loss this week - 3/4 lb off. Chip van, 2 x Maccy D’s and huge Easter roast didn’t help!…but glad I managed to loose anything!

I hope they delete the whole referral code section as posted my code a lot on there! I’ve got a bit of credit and don’t want to
loose it!
