Welcome to thread 9 to fellow MN weight loss friends old and new!

Feel free to lurk or post, absolutely no judgement here, just support and encouragement as we head towards Easter Egg season, celebrate NSV’s, weight loss milestones and admire our new Summer Wardrobes ❤️

I’m on W21 D1 and on my first 7.5mg pen
F in my early 50’s
H 5’ 5.5”
SW 13st 11lb
CW 11st 0.8lbs
GW 10st (maybe 9st 7lb if I can)
Total loss so far 38.2lbs

Recommend the Shotsy app to monitor the amount of MJ in the system and pleasing graphs to look at…plus the MeThreeSixty body scan app to monitor inch loss for the weeks where weight loss is slow but you might have lost body fat etc. Both are free.
Feel free to swap recipes that might inspire anyone in a food rut, tips for side effects, exercise tips, tips for titrating up or down and we love a beauty/ style chat too 🥰

I’m so impressed at everyone’s weight loss over the Easter holidays 🎉 so many people achieving 3 stone and over - everyone must be a few clothes sizes down and feeling better in ourselves. Roll on summer!

I went to my parents along with my whole family ( quite a crowd now we’ve all had kids, got partners etc) - we drank, ate out, exchanged Lindt Bunnies and chocolate eggs and cooked big roasts - I’m not weighing myself this week!

@Mounjaropen I watched ‘Good American Family’ and was quite freaked out. I googled and was surprised to find it was quite close to the truth - the child was infact a child - what a nightmare! Also loving Mobland - wish I could binge it all in one go!

Anewdawnanewname · 21/04/2025 18:31

I lost 2lbs this week after having a stall for ages and losing .4lbs per week for a while. I actually went away at the start of the week and had a few nice things to eat, but in moderation. Then on the way home I had to stop off in a service station as I felt rough… managed to at least get to the toilets before I threw up. I weighed myself once I got home and I’d lost 6lbs, but out 4 of them back on in time for my regular weigh day. But it means I’ve finally hit 3stone! I feel like I could still do with another three or at least 2 off, but it feels so far away from where I first started so it feels amazing.

Morning jabbers. Weight still up annoyingly 🙄 But then my period arrived this morning unexpectedly.. well, I say unexpectedly but I've been moody, emotional, slightly irrational, bloated and craving comfort food 😂 catches me out every time!

🤣
I was saying to a friend that I know my period is due exactly one week after the day my kids are ghastly & I want to trade them in😉 .... she is more like you & went oooh maybe that's what's going on but I'm surprised every time!

@Anewdawnanewname3stone! 🏵️🎉

@BagQueenBee4 stone is getting so close! Amazing work.

My lesson from this weekend is that sugar begets sugar 100% I really haven't been eating much sugar at all but I always liked caramel eggs (before Cadbury gave up making decent chocolate) so I ate half of one on Sunday then threw it away because the chocolate was so horrible but then I tried some mini eggs (meh) then some galaxy egg 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷‍♀️ didn't enjoy any of it but my goodness the sugar was calling so strongly.
Back to hunting down protein today! (Not literally unless you count buying cottage cheese...)

Mine too and ditto! I’ve lost my 9 on the scales, but it will be back when I finally manage to drink enough water to de-bloat. I didn’t gain last month when my period came so a bit annoyed that I have this time. However, although I’ve avoided all but two mini After Eight eggs, I have had a lot more to drink over the long weekend than I would normally, plus was out today for a pub lunch with the in-laws so not expecting a loss in the morning.

Ooh glad you enjoyed the watch! Love Mobland! I’ve also had a few chocolates this weekend but nowhere near the amount I would’ve had previously!

Keep going!

I know what you mean about the chocolate though - everything seems so massively sweet!

I think we’re all going to write the long weekend off as a one-off ( I am anyway!)
Onwards and upwards from now on! 💪🏻

Ok so I’ve been in hospital for 2 months, I have lost 4 stone since beginning in Nov, but obviously I haven’t been able to have jabs (last one 14th Feb). All the consultants I spoke to -and there has been a lot- have been incredibly supportive, the nephrology consultant even went as far as having my discharge notes say that I ‘would benefit from continuing mounjaro’ and that he didn’t believe I should have to pay for it.

so full of hope I skipped off to the GP on Monday (I was discharged on Good Friday)

can anyone guess what the GP said?

i’m working at the moment but I will be back soon to update and elaborate…

oh and if feels good to be back in the land of the living 🙂

A squishy virtual hug from me 🧡

MontyJinks · 10/05/2025 12:35

For the first time since starting MJ I'm feeling a little despondent 😔

Perhaps I've taken my eye off the ball a bit too much, knew I was in a stall, but just checked my stats and I've stayed the same (well, bobbled up and down by a pound) for four weeks now 🙄

I know what I need to do.... I just need a bit of a reset, to focus more, to put a stop to the small bad habits that have crept in. I've been on 5mg for 5 months, which has, until now, been effective, so from tomorrow I'll be upping to 7.5mg, giving myself a stern talking to, and a bloody good kick up the backside! 💪

DarkForces · 10/05/2025 13:07

@MontyJinks I feel you. I remind myself I'd have given up by now without mj. We can go up a dose and get back on the horse with it. Wishing you a whoosh
