Welcome to thread 9 to fellow MN weight loss friends old and new!

Feel free to lurk or post, absolutely no judgement here, just support and encouragement as we head towards Easter Egg season, celebrate NSV’s, weight loss milestones and admire our new Summer Wardrobes ❤️

I’m on W21 D1 and on my first 7.5mg pen
F in my early 50’s
H 5’ 5.5”
SW 13st 11lb
CW 11st 0.8lbs
GW 10st (maybe 9st 7lb if I can)
Total loss so far 38.2lbs

Recommend the Shotsy app to monitor the amount of MJ in the system and pleasing graphs to look at…plus the MeThreeSixty body scan app to monitor inch loss for the weeks where weight loss is slow but you might have lost body fat etc. Both are free.
Feel free to swap recipes that might inspire anyone in a food rut, tips for side effects, exercise tips, tips for titrating up or down and we love a beauty/ style chat too 🥰

The scales have not been kind to me this week either!

I am up 0.2 kg

SW 90
CW 70

at least I don’t have to return my 3st rosette but I am back in the 11s 😢

NSV my leggings had a bit of sag in them at the gym so I need to buy some size 12s 😁😁

I haven’t been A1 on my diet but it hasn’t been atrocious either.

i have had bread most days which i know is naughty and I did eat some mini eggs (1 80g bag lasted 3 days, previously they would have been gone in an hour 😂😂 or even 10 mins!)

I’m feeling good and will not be derailed by the blip.

have my bonus dose today from my 7.5mg pen, I stupidly didn’t buy another I have 2 5mgs in the fridge so I’m not sure whether to have 7.5 next week or drop to 5 (or any number in between 🤣) will see how this next week goes

love the positivity and NSVs everyone is sharing 💪👏

Penguinmouse · 17/04/2025 09:58

Big drop today after hanging around the same weight for a week or so. That’s 38lbs now gone, so close to that 3 stone!

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 16/04/2025 23:48

Holy feck, of course that counts! That’s awesome news! Well done you, that’s amazing!

I’ve been out on a work celebration and had vast vast amounts of drink and I might quietly throw up in a minute. I’m home now so no one will know!

If no-one knows, it never happened!! Hope the head isn’t too sore this morning!

TeenLifeMum · 17/04/2025 10:49

Great to see everyone still having losses. I’ve plateaued again. I’d like to lose a few more lbs - about 5-7 to keep me safer in “healthy” but even with death jabs I think it’ll be hard. I’ve always struggled with dieting in school holidays so that pattern persists.

I’ve hit a wall this week too and I can’t even blame the school holidays! DD has finished her uni year today so he’s back for the weekend and I expect much rosé wine will be consumed! Looking forward to having her around a bit more until September open (although her summer plans do seem to send her around gallivanting all around Europe!)

Keep going, at some point your body will accept its fate to be forever thin 🤣

Well congratulations to you! I totally needed to hear this also! I stepped on the scales this morning convinced I MUST’VE lost something this week only to find….I am 1.2lbs heavier than yesterday 😭😭😭 AND despite doing 11k steps, a tennis match and a 30min Pvolve class yesterday.

Going to try on some clothes later after the cleaners have gone inspired by your trying-on sesh. I think I have some Oasis bits at the back of the wardrobe 😂

Hope you find some peasants to smuggle today - seems a shame not to use the roomy skirt 🤣

I meant pheasants not peasants 😂 Oh lordy! 😂😂😂

Well - F me, what a joyous round of positive updates this morning! 😃

DW, not on here but with us on the MJ journey, started a wardrobe clearout yesterday and nothing she's tried on has not fit. In fact many things that were always too small are now too big. She's over the moon.

Sobbing slightly at the thought of the £££s piling up on the floor to go to charity shop/clothes bank etc etc.

Thank you, still a long way to go though.

I work full time in a huge office with lots of women of various ages. There’s been lots of chat recently about WLIs and I’ve just kept my head down! I still haven’t told anyone in real life that I’ve been on them since November. I’ve lost over 3 stone and people assume it’s just from dieting, which I have done successfully in the past. Zero side effects. One lady mentioned about eye damage on Mounjaro and I have never heard of that. Is this something to be concerned about do you think?

20kg lost though! Go to your nearest pet food store and pick up 20kg of dog biscuits. Walk around the shop 4 times and marvel at how amazing it feels to no longer be carrying that around 24 hours a day! 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻

Morning fellow death jabbers.

So thus morning could have taken a very different path....I stepped on the scales after a week of being stuck and have put on a kg!! Wtf?! Then I remembered I have had 2 nights of pasta cooked in very salty water (gnocchi - my absolute favourite). And my thighs and butt still ache from a heavy weights session on Sunday. So lots of water retention going on probably.

So I decided to have a trying on session as dh keeps telling me he's never known me so skinny. Well! NSV everywhere this morning! The skirt dh bought me 15 years ago and I could never do up fully and I thought was a poor fit because of my belly fat - now zip up easily but still looks shit because it's a shit design. The hip to waist ratio is ridiculous and I could smuggle 4 peasants underneath it and still have space for more around the hips!

The skirt i wore the winter before we got married, bought on a day i was feeling very skinny, now zips up like a dream and looks great. Oasis sure 14 but really a 12 imo.

The skirt I wore on our 1st wedding anniversary (and was cutting me in half by the time we finished our meal) now goes on without me having to even unzip it!

And my skinny trousers, which were nowhere near being able to button up last month now do up without even a muffin top.

Happy happy happy! Not fat. Just retaining water 😂

Ok I need the peasant smuggling skirt! My hip to waist ratio is always fairly ridiculous, as is my boobs to torso ratio. At times I've been four different dress sizes at once, which is one of the reasons I love a stretch fabric. I'm not sure what the official peasant measurement is but I'd guess my hips are it!

Lovely to heart from you. Great job on the 3 stone rosette!

I’ve not heard of that one… being on MJ is like announcing a pregnancy - everyone has an horrific birth story to tell that you didn’t want to hear nor asked for 🙄. No normal person says to someone about to undergo heart surgery “ooh my neighbour died of that procedure ”….I’d be on my guard in case that person was trying (unsuccessfully) to smoke you out….😉

According to the popular press MJ/expensive death jabs are responsible for a myriad of ailments including death itself… The fact is it would not have been approved for public consumption either here or in the US unless there were a reasonable number of side effects affecting a tiny proportion of those in trials. Look at us all on here - we range from zero side effects to quite unwelll and have to stop taking it. I would wager that any eye-related side effects are exacerbated by an underlying cause rather than caused by the jab itself. Try not to worry but if you have got any eye concerns, get yourself to the opticians to get it checked.

I know-it’s amazing to think I lugged all that weight around all day every day!

I look and feel a lot better! I’m in the size 12s which is great.

Yay for arm DOMS! Had them all week. Sleeveless tops here we come. I even got my arms out for tennis today 😉

My new dumbbells came out today too. Amazing how much stronger you become without realising. I’ve completed my 95th Pvolve class today. When I started 24 weeks ago I couldn’t do a press up, a plank nor do multi reps of anything anywhere with a 5lb weight. Today I’m up to 12lb weights and can even side plank <preen>

Still hoping for a whoosh though 😂
