Welcome to thread 9 to fellow MN weight loss friends old and new!

Feel free to lurk or post, absolutely no judgement here, just support and encouragement as we head towards Easter Egg season, celebrate NSV’s, weight loss milestones and admire our new Summer Wardrobes ❤️

I’m on W21 D1 and on my first 7.5mg pen
F in my early 50’s
H 5’ 5.5”
SW 13st 11lb
CW 11st 0.8lbs
GW 10st (maybe 9st 7lb if I can)
Total loss so far 38.2lbs

Recommend the Shotsy app to monitor the amount of MJ in the system and pleasing graphs to look at…plus the MeThreeSixty body scan app to monitor inch loss for the weeks where weight loss is slow but you might have lost body fat etc. Both are free.
Feel free to swap recipes that might inspire anyone in a food rut, tips for side effects, exercise tips, tips for titrating up or down and we love a beauty/ style chat too 🥰

hello all! Back from holiday and catching up on progress from all. I’ve added a kg whilst away but that could have been much worse and should come off again quickly. Have enjoyed my holiday wardrobe and braved a bikini on more than one occasion. Back to reformer tonight which I’ve missed. Contemplating when to inject again-? Thursday normal day which will be 2.5 weeks since last jab. Maintenance appointment booked for 10/5.

I need an intervention. I've popped the Pringles and now I can't stop 😭

They are designed to specifically be mooreish. Google how they are made if you genuinely want to stop 😂

Happy Easter to my fellow death jab jabbers.

I did my bonus 7.5 jab a day early because I'm cooking and hosting family lunch tomorrow. 7.5 has been ok but I've been yo-yoing the same 2lbs all month. no weight loss but no gain either. i've been religiously tracking food on the lose it app. I find that easier to navigate than MFP.

i've got another 7.5 in the fridge and a 5 one. Begining to think about maintenance. Looking at microdosing. i think that might work for me as by the end of the week I'm totally fixated on what I can eat but fortunately at the moment the MJ is stopping the fantasy becoming a reality.

@phyllidafossetthank you it was raised and itchy at first now just some bruising around it the lump has went down now though so that's a good thing I always panic at lumps so I'm glad it's away

It was something I have read others mention so I haven’t been worrying about it. But it is irritating (literally) when it itches! Mine do last for two weeks. What I don’t really get is it is worse sometimes than others (even with the fading over time). Glad yours has gone down quickly.

I get this badly too for the last two months or more. Jab site grows over the week, is raised and v red. Tried antihistamine cream, savlon etc, take a daily antihistamine and nothing helps. I now apply a little hydrocortisone cream for a few days which helps the insane itching but it takes 2 weeks for each patch to fade fully, most grow to 3 or 4 inches across. V irritating!

Morning, happy Easter. Will our eggs last til Christmas?

Weigh in no change this week, I’ll take that as a win on a bank holiday. And I had a very snacky day yesterday(didn’t eat a proper meal) so blaming salt too.

I’ve had a weird week, had side effects all week rather than the usual 2-3 days. Yesterday was particularly burpy. And I’ve had food noise bellowing all weekend, resulting in a ridiculously large food delivery this morning.
But suppression has been fairly extreme. Food noise made me (ha!) open a packet of biscuits, but I could only manage one. Now that’s a good thing but also not. I’d rather have the silence in my brain than the suppression to be honest.

Considering moving up but as still getting side effects think I’ll do another 7.5 month.

Hope everyone is having a lovely Easter.

SerenePeer · 21/04/2025 08:52

Morning jabbers. Weight still up annoyingly 🙄 But then my period arrived this morning unexpectedly.. well, I say unexpectedly but I've been moody, emotional, slightly irrational, bloated and craving comfort food 😂 catches me out every time!

Cantbesure · 21/04/2025 09:35

Morning all. Hope everyone is having a lovely Easter weekend. It’s very wet here today. I’ve moved up to 10mg today. I ended the week 2lbs up (so no longer at 🎯) which helped me make the decision to go up. Footage from my ring doorbell showed me curvier than I’d like to be so it’s set my resolution to go down another half stone and see how it feels there.

It’s been a social weekend with food and wine which has shown on the scales. Fingers crossed a month on 10mg will get me close to where I want to be.

WellyBootsandPuddleSuits · 21/04/2025 09:38

W25 D1 - yet another 5mg jab. 5th dose from my pen so I really need to order my next (and hopefully last!) pen

S/W 16st 7
C/W 10 st 13
G/W 10st 10

After hitting a ‘healthy’ BMI last week, I lost another pound which has taken me to 24.7 and in to the 10s. I did a little happy dance in the bathroom! We had the standard Easter lamb roast yesterday, which didn’t sit very well (neither did a mozzarella stick on Friday night which was both upsetting and uncomfortable!) which reminded me about being cautious with fat content. I’m not going to lie, I’m looking forward to not having gastro effects from good when I do finally come off the jabs, but they are a good reminder of what food I should be keeping in moderation. I have one dark chocolate Lindt bunny that is taunting me from the shelf, but the vast amount of eggs my children have managed to accumulate are doing nothing for me.

Back to school for the kids tomorrow which means I can get back to the gym, the last 2 weeks have been fairly slow on the exercise front, so I’m glad to be getting back to routine.

Hope everyone’s had a good Easter weekend!

Happy Easter everyone…..

Update for me, 3.3lb loss today, end week 21, so total loss is 51lb which I’m thrilled with. Decided to stay on 5mg as still working well and this will be my 5th pen.

Just 5lb off my 4 stone, which is unbelievable…I started at 28 stone 1 and I’m now 24 6lb.

I joined a small hotel health club, pool, gym etc….never in a million years would I have believed I would do this, I also use my vibration plate at home in between …feel better than I have done in well 35 years!!!

Chocolate no longer appeals to me, but do enjoy a nice carvery and I eat baked potatoes etc…
