@guestusername
Congratulations on joining the 11 club, I got there yesterday by 0.2 lbs, and it feels the best yet.

Trying to produce a whoosh this week, so I have switched from my thigh to the back of my arm for the first time ever. Ouch! Hope it gets results as it did pinch a bit😬I guess I should have realised that there's a good reason why they say to get someone to do it for you in your arm...

I used arm once back in the beginning. I didn't think it worked but recently I have seen people on tiktok say that it worked well. So I might give it a go again at some point.

Let us know how it goes 🙂

You ladies are going through the mills with these 15mg pens! It does feel rather unfair to be sent such short dates on something so expensive.
@FlappyFish I'm glad I've sort of motivated you to get active. I've also upped my activity again and am trying to get into a new gym routine. Last week I managed 5 days. I'm telling myself I should stay between 4-6 days. Let's see how I get on.
@ObsidianTree don't forget I have a free pass for my gym if you want to join me for a day 👀
I'm definitely feeling more hungry on 2.5 but am trying to see it as a good thing. Dp is definitely starting to snack in the evenings again and that's bad influence. But we have agreed we will not increase dose again as we are both on target.

One day! 🤣

Why would you think healthy bmi is unrealistic?

I'd also like to have some of your metabolism please if you can bottle it up please Grin

Ah Hi all I thought I’d pop on this thread and say hello. I started end of April and recognise lots of your names, lovely to see so many doing so well and I also appreciate hearing from those further down the line and struggling a bit! I’ve dropped off the main thread now as it seems to mostly be people earlier in their journey.

I’ve lost 2.5st on MJ which I’m really happy with, but it’s taken me 8 weeks to lose the last 9lb so it feels really slow at the mo, and like PP I’ve been hovering just above the 11s for what feels like forever!! But that said I’m still on 7.5mg as I took a second pen rather than stepping up (quickly regretted) and because of ££ I’ve had to eek that out a bit with the bonus dose. Am planning on ordering a 10mg on Mon and using all of that with a view to stopping. Hopefully that will get me close to my goal which is currently 8lb away, although I said that about the last one as it was only 11lb away then! 😂

NSV to report today! I ordered a couple of winter coats from M&S as my standard dog walking one was far too big thanks to MJ. Ordered one from adult range (£89) and one teen 15-16 (£40). The teen one is great and fits me easily!!! I am only 5ft 1 so it's also well proportioned 😎

My DD1 has been sorting old clothes out and I have been happily pinching some of those too 😁 Happy days!

Moanranger · 20/09/2024 15:50

MJ Ordering problems - maybe I am too old school, but I am switching to Medexpress. They need a photo id and evidence of a previous prescription. Fine, I photograph these with my phone, email them to myself and download on my PC. ( So I can keep track of info, much better than trying to remember what I have downloaded on a web site.

These are converted to PDFs, they will not upload to order - why, why, why? What basement dwelling twinky eater software designer thinks this is a good idea? Conversion to jpg not possible. I had a similar problem with Health express and I had to go through all sorts of antics ( screenshots cut and pasted into emails...) to get the info across. Why not just allow PDFs.
So I have now emailed MedExpress to see how I can get this info to them.
Rant over....

Choux · 20/09/2024 16:06

If you have them on your PC now for reference can you not just do the order from your phone or an iPad where they will attach as jpeg? Or can you use a snipping tool to take a copy of them on your PC to save as a jpeg?

Choux · 20/09/2024 16:06

That was to @Moanranger

Choux · 20/09/2024 16:08

Amazing numbers @Slimstar13. I use that app too - I love checking the dates the graph says I will reach my target every time I put a new weight in. I am getting close to a healthy BMI and my goal now so my weight is slowing. And my average is only 1.25lbs a week so waaaaay less than yours.

imnottoofussed · 20/09/2024 16:13

@Slimstar13 I'm also 5 foot 9 and my general normal weight that I managed to maintain before I turned 40 is around 11 stone 2 which for me I'd say is still a bit pudgy, I was wearing size 14.

I'm aiming at the moment for that weight again and then will reassess goal and possibly go another stone lower.

Currently 12st 5 and definitely have too much body fat.

The bottom end of healthy for me is around 9 stone which there's absolutely no way I'd be aiming for as I'd be a bag of bones

Wonkypictureframe · 20/09/2024 16:38

That's a fantastic achievement, @Slimstar13.

CiderJabs · 20/09/2024 16:39

I think it's hard to visualise what you'll look like in a certain bmi when you have been big for a long time. I was convinced I'd stay between 10-7 and 11 (so just slightly over 25) and now I'm 9-12 I look good. Healthy and still have fat around my legs and hips so by no means gaunt. If anyone had suggested me getting this low I would have said I didn't want to. So the best advice I can give you all is to keep an open mind. I agree we can't be prisoners of "bmi police" but you may also surprise yourselves!

Ello OG flab jabbers! Interesting thread on AIBU about FOMO when an entire bridal party is on the GLP-1s. I feel OP’s pain totally and I’m not sure if the entire bridal party was medically eligible for the jab, but worry that kind of thread is going to invite yet more haters and the usual entitled diabetics gang (not all diabetics, it should be said)!

I had a quick look but couldn't see it. Have you got a link?

Update on Ordering:
Thanks @Choux - a bit technical for me but I did something like that with Health Express the first time.
Happily MedExpress has got back to me saying just reply to their email and attach documentation, which I now have done. I don't expect to hear until next week, but I wont actually run out until 7 October. Hopefully goes through without difficulty.
They just wanted a picture, id, and current prescription so fairly straightforward.
@Slimstar13 and others - re BMI/goals, etc. I think a lot of Wegovey/MJ/Ozempic users lost a percentage of their weight but not necessarily down to a BMI>25. And most happy with that. Looking at recent photos of Oprah, she is a lot slimmer but not I suspect at a low BMI. So I think you can take a view in relation to your own circumstances.
I have been as low as 65 kg (which at my height is still < 25 BMI) but no lower and I think maybe 66 or 67kg is a reasonable goal for me. I have no aspirations to go lower, even though I will technically be above what is considered healthy. Best to pick your own path.

Argh it wasn’t on AIBU - my bad. It was on our home territory so should keep the trolls away:

ObsidianTree · 20/09/2024 18:55

@Chucklesisters thanks.

Feel bad for the op not feeling like they have the finances to use them too. I didn't read the full thread but thats crazy how all of the rest of the bridal party are on them! Starting to become super common now!

6.6 stones lost is incredible @Slimstar13 you should be so proud of yourself. How exciting that you'll be reaching your goal soon! I do hope you plan to stick around as I've always enjoyed your posts and musings 🙂

@Slimstar13 that's amazing progress and great that you are nearing your goal weight.

Welcome @DragonflyRuby and anyone else I might have missed!

Well done for the NSV @Thebaldprimadonna
