IQ Doctor have accepted my order. Had to provide ID, photos and my last prescription but all sorted in about an hour so that's pretty good. Will see what delivery is like.

Delivery from them was very quick for me a few weeks ago.

CiderJabs · 11/11/2024 15:10

@Scalessayeek I have been wondering the exact same thing. I too have pens until April by breaking all kinds of rules- splitting dose, going over 30 days, bonus dose... and for that reason I've not booked a consultation!

Wonkypictureframe · 11/11/2024 15:18

I told Hira I had a stash when I spoke to her and she didn't turn a hair. Given that some pharmacies sell multipacks I don't think it's an issue.

85reasons · 11/11/2024 16:01

I'm with Oushk but just bought a 10mg pen from IQ Doctor for the first time.

Somewhat weirdly their vetting questionnaire asks if you understand whether you must STOP the treatment if your BMI goes below 28. My BMI is just under 28 but I still had to select 'yes' to the question in order for it to proceed.

Hopefully they've advanced their thinking on maintenance but just not updated the site..?

Also - is it okay to be getting pens from two different prescribers? Not that I'll be ordering two in parallel each month but I'd like to stay with Oushk for the maintenance options, whilst still being able to order cheaply elsewhere till I get there.

Hello

Was hoping to get some advice from those that had a chat with Hira. I have just possibly ordered my last pen but have a few in stock in my fridge. I won't be finishing until nearer May using the extra dose and all the pens I have.

Has anyone been transparent about using the 5th dose and having a stockpile? I am pretty sure I will need to stay on some form of maintenance eventually so don't want to burn any bridges!

When I had a chat with Hira she said it's fine re stockpile and just come back to her when I want to go onto maintenance.

I have decided to just use my stockpile and the sign up to maintenance once I'm on my last pen. I'm sure I'll be able to sign up for maintenance once I'm ready. Suppose I can go onto the £20 plan to keep the door open. But I bet oushk would take me even after months and months etc.

I'll work on creating thread 3 later. Should hopefully not get full before then

Evening all… congrats on all the losses and well done on all the maintains. I’ve maintained for a month and slowly loosing again.

I’m about to buy a 12.5mg pen. - It’s been 4/5mth since I’ve purchased. Can anyone let me know what sort of price I should be paying. I have seen £185. Does that sound about right?

@PissedOffNeighbour22

It could easily become addictive to chase the next 7lb or stone. At the start I was happy with 10 stone, now 9.7lb. When does it stop. My range for my height goes right down to 7.7lb which is another 2 stone from where I am now! (Disclaimer = I will stop before 9 stone).

@AgathaMystery I paid £179 with Oushk, but am on their maintenance plan, so get 15% off.

Bolt were going to charge me £199 I think. I used a discount code for IQ Doctor and got it for £154. You can Google that discount code easily enough, it's 23% off I think, weird number.

Scalessayeek · 11/11/2024 19:13

Thanks @ObsidianTree that's really good to hear. Tempted to have an initial chat with her just so that I'm on the books so to speak. Can't quite believe the end is near(ish)!

AgathaMystery · 11/11/2024 21:48

Thanks girls. That’s really helpful.

PissedOffNeighbour22 · 12/11/2024 02:18

@NextPrimeMinister same weight for me too and I could never imaging being that low, it's more than 2st from where I am now. There is the temptation to drop a bit extra as others have done in the expectation of putting a few pounds back on.

When I mentioned to DP I might go down to 7.5mg this week he was a bit surprised and reminded me that until this week, I hadn't really lost anything for weeks.

CiderJabs · 12/11/2024 07:36

I've been feeling crap for the last week and now I know it was also period related. It is definitely worse on 2.5 than it was on higher doses - and that's scary. My weight went up to 9-13 which is a bit annoying but still under 10 which is my limit. Back down to 9-11 this morning (lowest was 9-6.4) so I'm fluctuating massively and a bit more than I'd like.
I'm not eating much but am also worried about the quality of the stuff I'm eating.

FlappyFish · 12/11/2024 14:13

@CiderJabs sorry you feel rubbish, lovely. You’re doing exactly as I am with the wavering. Let’s just remember that wavering below 10 is an improvement on where we were.

I am doing the period fluctuations and I know I’ve posted a fair bit before on how it makes me go haywire physically and mentally. You’d think after nearly 30 years of periods I’d just deal with it. I don’t. Each month it’s like the world is ending and I’ve lost all control. Yet it’s a cycle that happens every 22-24 days sadly.

KeepingUndercover · 13/11/2024 21:23

Just going to try and use this thread up, 10 more posts and it's done.

I remember that feeling myself. It was awful and how I always knew my mirena needed replacing. I’m 44 now & a few yrs into HRT and it’s not like it was by any means but every now and then I get those crashing moods. Towards the end of my actual fertile years it was dreadful. My mood was so low some months I scared myself.

CiderJabs · 13/11/2024 23:27

Thanks both. Don't even get my started on how fed up I am of having periods. I'll be 51 soon and the fuckers are still happening. I've been on HRT for 2 years and although it helps, I still feel sad / angry / irritated all the time, I crave chocolate like it's going out of fashion and have a 5 day migraine attack.

CiderJabs · 13/11/2024 23:29

Also feel bloated and constipated. If I go over 10st by Friday, I'll increase my dose to 3.75 (or maybe even 5) for a week or two. How on earth I'll go back to life without MJ I don't know 😫

KeepingUndercover · 14/11/2024 07:23

@CiderJabs would you consider getting the Mirena coil? Mine stopped my periods completely and it's been amazing. No more crazy mood swings, no inconvenience. It's bliss.

KeepingUndercover · 14/11/2024 07:46

I've done a midweek weigh and can report that I am no longer obese, I'm now merely in the overweight category. BMI under 30! Finally!!

Fantastic 😍 It's a great feeling isn't it?

Wonkypictureframe · 14/11/2024 07:58

Woohoo!!!

CiderJabs · 14/11/2024 08:30

@KeepingUndercover I have considered but my gp advised me against it. He said I'm too old now and don't have regular periods anymore so it would make it harder to spot when I've hit full menopause.

CiderJabs · 14/11/2024 08:30

And we are done 🥳
