Well done @Femeia 😊 great news.

A few of us aren't feeling 15mg pens aren't great. Hopefully new stock will be more effective!

Ok got a response from Zava about my question about how they pack their orders.

So they confirm they print the labels but don't pack until the day they are dispatching to royal mail.

I disagree that the warming message of the shorty date pens was there when I ordered... But cba to challenge that! Pretty sure it was added after I had ordered! I also checked the Dr approval message and it doesn't say the pen is short dated.

@ineedmoresleepnow the 12.5mg expire end of Nov. So you might be able to fit one of those in.

I think suppliers will keep sending 15mg out short dated until first week in Oct maybe, so not worth getting another 15mg.

Very annoying situation anyway!

I don’t even look at the expiry dates
I’m planning on using my current 15s to titrate down and finish up in December.
surely they won’t just stop working next month? Seems ridick!

pinktransit · 19/09/2024 12:25

Afternoon all!

I've weighed this morning (but not jabbed yet, must go and do that shortly!), and I'm 4oz up.
That's ok, as I've had other priorities for the past couple of weeks, so a gain is not unexpected. I am really noticing how much more hungry I am if I don't concentrate on protein. I'm staying with my Mum at the moment, and concentrating on her NOT losing weight, so it's a bit of a balancing act. I mentioned it on the other thread, but that one is faster moving, so I'll say it here too. Sadly, following a stroke, my dad died last week. I'm staying with Mum, and we are getting through the paperwork and stuff one job at a time. Well, Mum is, I am supporting her, and making sure that she eats properly, and is doing as well as can be expected.

I need to up my protein, and I might up my dose from 7.5 to 10mg this week. Shopping later on, will top up on Greek yoghurt and protein bars, meals are generally either vegan/veggie or with a small amount of fish or chicken. Not enough protein to keep me full enough. And there are snacky things that I don't keep in my own house.

Sorry, rambling here. TL:DR - small gain, reasons for, need to balance protein.

Also, ordered from MedExpress last week. Really quick to process, had to send photo of myself and ID as I've been on MJ for 20+ weeks. Ordered Monday, received Weds. Had to be really careful on delivery, as I went home for just 2 days and it needed to arrive then. Mum doesn't know, and I don't want her worrying so didn't want it delivered here. Concerned about BMI being too low to order again, so might weigh with clothes on for a week or two when I next order. Then I'll hopefully have 2 x 10mg pens to titrate down with.

Flapearedknave · 19/09/2024 12:28

Oh hi!

Didn't see the last thread as I had dropped off the main one really.

Happy to be here ❤️

I am now 13 stone 2 lbs! Amazing. I am also now overweight and not obese!

That's interesting, I have stayed on 12.5 for 2 months and planned to go up this month as this pen doesn't seem as potent!

I also got the same guff about the warning message of the imminent expiry date - royal porkers they are!

KrankyKumquat · 19/09/2024 12:48

So sorry to hear your news @pinktransit . I 'spoke' to you when your dad had his stroke and have been wondering how you've been doing.
It sounds like you're doing everything right. You don't need to be losing weight at the moment, holding steady is probably the best you could hope for. And your poor mum....
I'm going up to 10mg this weekend too - I wish us both good luck with that. Take care x

P.s. I had my first ever rice cake this morning, salt and vinegar flavour, from Aldi, and only 30 calories each but I'm sure zero nutritional value 😊- where have they been all my life? Bloody lush, so would recommend!

Wonkypictureframe · 19/09/2024 13:18

I'm so sorry to hear that, @pinktransit. Don't go worrying about weight right now. It'll all come right once you're able to think about it again.

Zava are saying there isn't anything wrong with the cold chain, so might be the short date on the pens making them less effective. But can't say for sure. Will pay attention when I get new dated stock!

@Thebaldprimadonna it is frustrating but hopefully you're due a woosh soon. How you feeling on 12.5? Do you think moving up dose might help? Although I'd wait until new dated pens are out incase you get an old dated pen.

Hi. My next one is a 15. Taking it on Sat 😊

I am SO COLD today. I just can’t stop shivering.

I am so cold most of the time. Really, down-to-the-bone cold. When everyone else is in tshirts and shorts, I'm in jeans, tshirt, jumper, scarf, gloves. And possibly a blanket too. 😁

CiderJabs · 19/09/2024 16:59

You ladies are going through the mills with these 15mg pens! It does feel rather unfair to be sent such short dates on something so expensive.
@FlappyFish I'm glad I've sort of motivated you to get active. I've also upped my activity again and am trying to get into a new gym routine. Last week I managed 5 days. I'm telling myself I should stay between 4-6 days. Let's see how I get on.
@ObsidianTree don't forget I have a free pass for my gym if you want to join me for a day 👀
I'm definitely feeling more hungry on 2.5 but am trying to see it as a good thing. Dp is definitely starting to snack in the evenings again and that's bad influence. But we have agreed we will not increase dose again as we are both on target.

Moanranger · 19/09/2024 17:52

@pinktransit so sorry to hear your news. Best to focus on supporting your mum.

I am in a bit of dilemma. I have been on 5mg for seven weeks and cannot decide whether to go up to 7.5. I do hate the lethargy, and worry it could get worse. But I feel the suppression may be dropping off. I am at 72kg ATM, interim goal is 71kg, with a possible longer term goal of 67. I would like to get there on the lowest possible dose.
I have two more doses of 5mg (including bonus) Perhaps I will order 7.5, and start on first week of October, and try to get the last few kilos off at that level.
TBH I am not sure I ever want titrate off, love having no food noise!

imnottoofussed · 19/09/2024 18:08

This is the reply from medexpress about maintenance. So I'm definitely moving to oushk for my next pen

If it helps I was ill on 5. Awful nausea to the point it affected my day to day life. I moved up to 7.5 last Friday after someone on another thread said that they were ill on 5 and fine 7.5 and I too am absolutely fine..So maybe it is just the 5 for some people

Wonkypictureframe · 19/09/2024 20:22

It does seem to be a tricky dose.

I just had a ludicrous suppression moment. Forgot to eat lunch as work was crazy. Was making myself a grilled chicken wrap for dinner, feeling quite hungry, and absentmindedly ate the last prawn cracker out of a bag in the kitchen while it cooked. It left me feeling full! I’m still eating the wrap but I lost all my appetite immediately.

Just a quick thank you to @AgathaMystery, @Moanranger and @PissedOffNeighbour22 for your lovely replies about the pit of doom, they really helped me! I am not so doomy today thankfully. I’ve given my head a wobble and I’m ok 🙂

Im going out tomorrow and seeing some people I’ve not seen since pre MJ which I’m looking forward to

AgathaMystery · 19/09/2024 21:47

@guestusername I too am through the gloom. Although - slight panic tonight… I went to an event at DC school, they’ve been there 9yrs now so there is a core group of parents who have been friends since our DC were 4yrs old.

Jesus - tonight I got ‘OH MY GOD’ and ‘YOU HAVE LOST A LOT OF WEIGHT’ & it’s nice & all but it’s a bit much and I never appreciated it when some of you said you found those comments uncomfortable but tonight I felt it. It just made me thing god, I got really huge. And I was. I was big.

guestusername · 20/09/2024 08:47

I’m looking forward to comments and dreading them in equal measure tonight 🤷‍♀️😂

This morning I joined the 11 stone club 😀

PissedOffNeighbour22 · 20/09/2024 09:52

Weigh in day today.

Last week I was 10st 8lb and today I'm 10st 6lb 2oz. Very surprised I've lost weight this week as I've eaten McDonald's almost every day 🫣. The monopoly game is a vicious cycle lol. I go and redeem some free food and win more free food 😄.

Had a look at my stats on the Renpho scales this morning and my visceral fat has dropped to 8 which I'm amazed by. When I got the scales I'd already lost over 2st. My visceral fat was showing as 16 so I dread to think how bad it was right at the beginning of the weight loss. I've also got to 34% loss. Seems crazy that I've lost a third of my body weight!

I haven't taken my jab today. Think I'm going to start pushing it back a day or two per week now.
