Bridesmaids and nipple covers

I have 3 bridesmaids, all with the same ‘multiway’ dress. They look lovely but the fabric is so thin and clingy that without using the bandeau that comes with the dresses we have 6 nipples on show through the fabric. They understandably would rather not wear the bandeau if possible as it makes them look a bit frumpy/matronly and they’re all early 20’s with lovely figures. We’ve tried some of the tiny nipple covers but the only problem is now that you can’t see the nipples you can see the nipple covers!
Is boob tape an option to just tape the nipples down?! Or do we need some other type of nipple covers? Hit me up with your recommendations or ideas ladies please?

What does your hubby-to-be and Best Man think?

This is not a girls-on-the-pull night, but a grown-up event. The bandeau worn by the girls in the sample scene is barely visible except for the larger busted girl, who possibly feels more comfortable with that extra support anyway. I really think they should just look at the example ways of wearing and love your choice. You could have gone for FAR worse

From OPs description of how the dresses are planning on being worn, the bandeau will be completely visible from the back and would not look quite right. It is fair to see why the ladies would not like to wear it with the dress. Respectfully, it may not be a ‘girls-on-the-pull’ night, but it is going to be a highly photographed event. You can’t blame them for wanting to look their best

This is a link to the dress https://www.infinitydress.com/en-gb/products/dark-green-multiway-infinity-dress
as you can see from the photos the bandeau isn’t mandatory and we’re looking at having a cross-back which would mean any sort of bra with a ‘back’ isn’t possible

I had this dress in red for my sister’s wedding! We all wore the stick on “chicken breast” type of bra and it worked perfectly! Was a while back so we bought them in Debenhams but there must be other places you can buy them. Hope your wedding day is wonderful 💐

Is that you in the photo? You all look lovely! The one shoulder look is definitely the nicest, very Grecian.

It is but it was a while ago and pre baby, everything is a bit more south and round these days 😂😂 but thank you, I was worried about slipping out of the other styles so had to flatten the girls in haha

Are you sure the bridesmaids are happy, or are they just not saying what they really think because you've put so much effort in and don't want to upset you?

eastegg · 02/04/2024 04:51

Hang on, one of the multiway options is sleeves with a deep V, which is arguably the most stylish and flattering to different shapes of the lot. And can be worn with a bra obviously, so entirely solves the problem. So why not that?

When guys look at the wedding photos what will they notice first? Of course it will be the bride who will be the centre of attention. :-)

Why would it matter what they think, especially the best man, why would he get a say?

I've worn these dresses as a bridesmaid twice now and both times have worn stick on bra. I get where you're coming from about not wanting the bandeaus, we all wore the dresses different ways and the bandeaus would have spoilt the looks I think. Stick on bras worked great, nothing expensive and stayed put all day! Better than nipple covers

I wore this dress as a bridesmaid and wore stick on bra shields, they were great

Is this the mulitway infinity bridesmaid dresses by any chance? My bridesmaids had the same, one had a sprapless bra, one had a bra with clear straps, one had plaster like nipple covers and one had a stick on the front only bra.
