The regulars on the thread mainly discuss luxury BAC and this dies down by September when everyone has purchased and forgotten the contents. Then it goes into discussion on what’s selling out, what hasn’t and what deals and discounts to be had on ACs in the lead up to December. Then in December we move onto AC opening threads!

I have just discovered that Harrods are shipping advent calendars to Ireland this year. A bit of a bummer as I didn't even look at the fragrance calendar as I assumed they wouldn't ship.

That's absolutely gorgeous packaging. Shame as I don't like enough of their products across the range (I love certain specific ones though) I guess this is always the problem with one brand BACs eyes White Company

I feel that's quite a sensible amount and I think I've now discounted Degusta as I really don't fancy a box that size taking over my kitchen or lounge!

First pictures are out for John Lewis, no
price but the launch date is down as 3 October.

I quite like the fragrances in this one.

@MrsBnow12 I quite like it. Not must have but if it ever was discounted I'd consider. Decent variety of stuff and some nice perfumes.

I was keeping en eye on vinted and its slowly starting to fill up with Harrods perfumes and they are not cheap 😬😬 Also a full calendar for sale at £370

Thanks for this, really good to know I won't need to waste my time checking Harrods site again and again. 7 stores in the UK, there's none online. Pah. I recently did the drive to the Metro centre for work recently. 1.5 hours 100 miles, that's the closest. Oh well.

@OvaHereJohn Lewis is appealing to me at the moment but do need to see the full contents and sizes of items and of course the price.
Would it be an advent without SDJ or Philip Kingsley, at least the later seems to be shampoo and conditioner.

@Biscuitburglar I share your pain - I also emailed Harrods and got that response - I'm not sure I'll trust whatever info they eventually put out anyway now?! Tbh if the fragrance calendar is in store 1st of September as in previous years I'm definitely stuffed, although I'm not working that day I'll be heading back home from a festival and there are no H beauty stores even vaguely near or en route. Ironically that's also why I missed the posts on here about the early release - I was driving back from a festival so not online. Guess I'm going to have to give up festivals now then! 😂

JL looks like a reasonable offering, but I prefer Liberty and Space NK. Will be interested to see how they price it.

My Harrods fragrance has arrived 🥳

@LightandBreezy to be fair it's normal not to plan your summer schedule around xmas advent calendars. 😂

Boots advent calendar (beauty and the skincare advent) reveal is on the 28th of August. They have hinted that k beauty will feature. It's interesting they are revealing the contents before Lookfantastic goes on sale on the 1st September. We might get other calendars with a similar price range revealing in and around then.

Any idea when they go on sale? I'm away for a week in september and hope it's not then as if the rest of the skincare advent lives up to the teasers, I will get it.

Oh I like the look of John Lewis. Will reserve judgement until the full list is out but interesting mix of brands and the fragrances look good. 3rd October is a good release date too, gives us time to deliberate.

I had actually decided this morning not to bother with an AC this year and bought the OK beauty box x Genevieve Turley but JLP might change that.

Thanks for that. I’m hoping I like Boots because I’ve gone over Space NK, and it’s not for me. There’s too many things I just won’t use, so I can’t justify the price.

thanks for the post about JL I got this one last year as there was a decent amount of skincare products in. It doesn’t look like that this year and quite a few things that were in last year’s one. Space NK seems the best one so far for what I want.

Ooh the John Lewis looks interesting depending on price. Few things I wouldn’t use but doing my sister an advent and I know she’d love the things I don’t!!
Liberty arrived today, quick check to make sure everything is ok and now hidden! The bag and calendar design are beautiful!

Lash serums are clearly 2025’s thing.

The jl is a no for me, it seems very similar to previous m&s ones. The only thing I do like is the Kilian, although it's a small bottle, possibly 5ml

Three eye creams seems excessive in the JL

I’ve had to postpone delivery of my Liberty!

it was scheduled to come today and we aren’t in! Down for Tuesday now. Oh well it’s not urgent!!

There are also 2 lip oils and 2 lip balms. This is definitely the year for lip products!

Overall I quite like it though.

JL has dashed my hopes 😭 Just going over all the reveals so far again and I am being pulled to Elle for the 1st time - skin & bodycare are my priorities plus the lower price point is welcomed to pair with Harrod’s. However, Liberty is speaking to me if I want fragrance as I do like the sound of a lot of them, and I’m looking forward to seeing the Boots skin box. Gah!!!! I am really enjoying Dermalogica at the moment too so holding out for that reveal 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ I need all the info now!!
