The regulars on the thread mainly discuss luxury BAC and this dies down by September when everyone has purchased and forgotten the contents. Then it goes into discussion on what’s selling out, what hasn’t and what deals and discounts to be had on ACs in the lead up to December. Then in December we move onto AC opening threads!

Really wavering after your Harrods run down whether to just go for it or hang on for SNK. I wish they'd hurry up, even a sneak peek would do.

Thanks for the new thread, the Harrods breakdown has made me realise it isn’t for me, I like the lack of body care and minimal haircare but other items are not wowing me.
I have been through both Liberty and HN and want half the items in each, think HN is slightly ahead due to the Le Labo

It feels like they're taking too long to reveal 🤣

I feel like it could be deliberate. Bear with me.

SNK, if we are ranking beauty stores by prestige, to me sit below Harrods and Liberty but slightly above Cult Beauty and Sephora. So if they hang on just long enough for the first two to sell out then they scoop up the disappointed who just missed out but won't be fazed by a £260 calendar.

In some ways it's a similar system to UCAS and clearing, the other thing occupying my thoughts. 😂

Of course they might not have sold out by the time SNK reveals but it's a game of chicken at the moment.

Oof, not liking the cult beauty offering, the shades aren't good. I'm hoping SpaceNK pull it out of the bag or it's likely just the HN fragrance for me this year. Beauty Bay looks good for my teen, but waiting to see what lookfantastic come out with. Wheres the jewellery advent at? Haven't heard a peep from those...

Has there been a Harvey Nichols full reveal? I found the wait list link when I made my big list last night but didn’t find a full contents list. Can you share a link please?

Thanks for this thread! I‘m eyeing the F&M one but don’t want to commit before I see what’s in Vogue. The Liberty one seems nice too. i just want a mix of everything — a bit of skincare, a bit of fragrance, a bit of silk scrunchy or fancy hair clip, or similar, a bit of bath and body.

Yes that’s the only link I got too, so wasn’t sure if it was accurate made from an exclusive press release or they went through the photo and made a list. Not a solid enough basis for me to start categorising!

Fenwick and Anthropologie so far for me are my stand out choices. Sorry to hear about those who are caught up in yet another balls up with Harrods

I saw a mention about Clary Sage at the end of the last thread. Which AC is this in? I use CS highly diluted as a room spray and have done for years, but I always worry about folk thinking essential oils are all safe as they are 'natural'. I was once turned down for a job in a hospital treating cancer patients as they preferred an aromatherapy qualification (which could be done in 12 weeks) rather than the four year degree I have in Sports Science and Remedial Massage.

I was determined to get in for the Harrods one as soon as it was made available, but I must admit I’m not loving what’s in it. I think I will give it a miss this year. I LOVED the 2023 calendar, but missed out last year. I’ll see what’s available in other calendars.

I like the idea of Cult Beauty’s calendar in theory as I really rate their edits but I always seem to end up ruling out the advent because too much make up (invariably including the dreaded black eyeliner).
