The regulars on the thread mainly discuss luxury BAC and this dies down by September when everyone has purchased and forgotten the contents. Then it goes into discussion on what’s selling out, what hasn’t and what deals and discounts to be had on ACs in the lead up to December. Then in December we move onto AC opening threads!

I so hear you @CorneliaStreet . My nemesis is the Aveda leave in treatment and anything Percy and Reed. I don't think my dressing table has been free of one of those Aveda green tubes for about 5 years now I actually like it but it lasts an insane amount of time. I have given up on Percy and Reed now. I just bin them if no one in the family wants them I cant face them littering my surfaces

The name Floral street always makes me think it sounds like a CBeebies programme.

Oh there will definitely be a - probably - gold and a red Nails Inc, a loccitane hand balm (and probably a small almond shower gel) a mini Nuxe oil, and a sodding partridge in a pear tree gua sha.

I'm also ploughing my way through a big tube of body cocoon from about two years ago.

In the RHOBAC series can we please all gather in someone's huge garden and do a beauty stash swap . Say bring five items and choose up to five . No fighting though

I like the percy and reed frizz spray. Not too keen on anything else from them though.

My fragrance calendar has arrived! 🥳
I have pulled out a few boxes but haven’t delved into them. It is very tempting though!

I'll come just to take the mountain of unwanted Elasticiser. I still like it! 😆

Elasticiser had a summer cousin this year, the PK Swim Cap. That seemed to be in every beauty box/travel kit.

Those mini Nuxe oils drive me mad. They are so small that I could probably finish them in one of two uses but instead I just look at them sitting on my bathroom shelf for months.

After back and forth over the SpaceNK advent, ive landed on the side of i will probably buy that one.
Ive written out what i would need to repurchase in 2026. Its came to 20 items, i would need to buy an eyecream, a mist, mascara, hair oil ect..
10 items, i will use but not essential.
4 i wont use at all (hair pin, CT wand, Milk setting spray and the Rare eyeshadow pencil) Will get bunged on Vinted.
Got a £5 voucher too, but will leave some reviews for extra points to get atleast £10 off it.
I would hate to get to November time when all sold out and think i should of just bloody got it!!

My Harrods arrived today, although I was at work and my other half took delivery, it’s sitting there and I’m trying to pretend I haven’t noticed, as though it’s nothing special! He’s going out later..can’t wait 😄

My MiL loves Percy and Reed. I buy it for her through the year when I spot it in TK Maxx and make up bundles of it for Christmas and birthday.

Mines arrived. DS3 took delivery for me. I told him what it was but that's fine as he's my fragrance ally in the house. It may backfire on me because he probably has designs on some of it now. 😂

@SoloCat and @OvaHere please tell me you both also lack self control and will be riffling through the calendar and sniffing as many as you can?

My Harrod’s fragrance calendar arrived today too. While they messed up the launch, at least posting and delivery seems to have gone much more smoothly this year.

While I’m always very good with the beauty advents - don’t even take them out of the packaging until 30 Nov, all ready for a day by day opening in December - I have usually treated the Harrods 12 day as a beauty kit rather than advent calendar, so have opened it now.

I find I need time to work out what I think of a perfume, so I’ll open them and try them out one at a time over the next couple of weeks. I’m trying the Jo Malone today; it’s pretty strong and spicy and quite masculine. Definitely more a winter than summer scent, and I’m on the fence about it. I may have to put it away to try again when it’s cooler.

I’ve just had an email today to say that my Harrods Fragrance has been dispatched.

I really like the Jo Malone, you're right, it does seem more of an autumn / winter scent. I've not tried it on though. That's the one I'd like to take on my Christmas market holiday but it's now gone in the loft until my husband will let me have it and he's just said Christmas day 😭

Jo Malone is the only one i.have sprayed to date ( it was one of the only ones I could easily get to as it's in a bag) I agree it's definitely a cooler weather one . I am looking forward to trying it in winter. I think it will be a grower for me
Not sure what to do with my advent yet There are a few I will probably gift and maybe a couple I will sell but I am not sure when I am gifting the rest to myself . I think I may give myself one a month

I had a mini of the Jo Malone fragrance which I tried earlier. I thought it was one of the few Jo Malone perfumes I didn’t like, but it’s definitely growing on me.

My Harrods Fragrance is still showing as processing, boo! I was hoping it would arrive by my birthday but that’s not to be. Something to look forward to hopefully next week though.

My Harrods beauty and fragrance are still showing as processing. Ideally I want them to clarify that the VAT is being removed/refunded as it wasn’t automatically removed when I purchased.
My Dd will check for breakages and missing items then they are back in the travel boxes for 1 December. I do fragrance every other day and hopefully I will have another 12 day as well.

Maybe. My friend bought one and she is opening them. So I'm going to smell all hers because I may save a couple of the masculine ones as gifts and if they're sealed I don't want to open them. Once I've established that yes I will probably open the rest.

I'm still on the fence with the AC's - I was patiently waiting for SNK and it's the best for me from the beauty advents so far but I'm not totally convinced. I went into a store today and tried the Tatcha Serum, the AB retinol serum and the Westman Atelier blush, loved the texture of the AB stuff but the WA blush is a bit too potent and I suspect it'll look very similar to the Chantecaille one from last years calendar on me - a bit to dark/ berry toned. However I did want but missed out on the Harrod's fragrance AC, and now that @OvaHere has floated the idea of a 3 season Netflix special, I'm willing to go instore to fight for it, with my ring doorbell glued to my cycling helmet to capture live footage of the carnage. The alternative is no AC at all, which is, as we all know unacceptable!
