Things that annoy me on S&B because

yes I'm in that type of mood today . . .

The main one is the often commented 'oh you can only wear that if you're tall and thin'.

I mean if you have the figure of a model it goes without saying surely you can pretty much wear anything.

But what are the rest of us meant to wear.

It may look best on someone tall and slim but that doesn't mean if you're not those things that you still can't look good.

Oh and it is allowed for people to spend £££ on clothes - just because some people don't it doesn't make those who do bad people.

And relax . . .

It is one of my old faithfuls for when i can't think what to wear and it always looks good. You lot don't know what you're missing.

yy to the tyranny of the v-neck.

The thing that makes me want to go out and do damage is when you find items for someone with very specific requirements/budget and the fuckers don't come back. At all.

I just want to PM them saying "WELL?"

This thread is so funny. PharoahNuff I have been to a taping of Oprah and can actually confirm that you are vetted as you enter and only those wearing jewel-coloured turtle necks are allowed anywhere near the front row.

pointydog · 05/06/2011 19:58

Actaully, I think that's why most people sometimes get annoyed.

I might be more perceptive than I think.

My one is a beige single breasted Gap one. Loves it, I do. Makes me feel "put together" when i feel like a slob.

the ones that are just thinly veiled boasting, y'know

"oh dahlings, Im just back from my afternoons shopping trip in Paris on my private jet and i've bought these [ long list of designer items] in a size zero and they are hanging off me - do you think they come in a -2??"

i console myself that they are probably sitting in Scunthorpe cleaning the spots off their polyester Next slacks with a babywipe

people who praise Eve Lom, thing is I am not against spending money, people paying £££ for handbags, clothes etc and I don't care but hearing someone has spent £88 on face wash just makes me laugh and think sucker.....

Commercial Choo - oh dear oh dear Wink

And yes tethers the ones that don't come back [tut]. Although some poor thing posted last week wanting an outfit for a wedding and she had a good budget was tall and slim and had ysl muse shoes - my god the nastiness from some people so wasn't surprised she didn't return.

I mean the mn demographic is such that surely its no big surprise that some people have quite a bit of money to spend on clothes.

Botox dispenses with need for all expensive magic creams and you look amazing even with cheaper stuff!

BelovedCunt · 05/06/2011 20:29

mineral makeup - you all look like powdery old ladies

TattyDevine · 05/06/2011 20:31

On that note I get a bit rolly eyed when people dismiss Botox or make sweeping statements about it like "you can ALWAYS tell" etc when they haven't had it and the only real experience they have of it is seeing some shlebs pictured badly in the DM and their best mate's sister had it and it looked a bit funny.

Good haircuts, bad haircuts
Good highlights, bad highlights
And surprise surprise...good botox, bad botox...

Report
DarrellRivers · 05/06/2011 20:31

I couldn't agree more about the botox
When the drippy girl tries to persuade me to spend an extra gizzillion pounds on creams after my facial, I just smirk now.
And decline.
Nothing really is that good anti-aging
Apart from being 16 again

yy tethers. Waste spend ages finding things, doing links etc. and the Op doesn't even bother to comment either way. I just want to shout "oi, don't be so fucking ignorant"

Report
noddyholder · 05/06/2011 20:37

Agree no one has ever noticed I have had it and my mates are harsh they would say. Not even my mum who is hyper critical and observant.I spent years buying creams but they are ok for a bit of a glow but to turn back the clock they don't work. My dp is still amazed by the fact that I don't look like jordan as that is what he thought botox meant
