lol @ wooden spoon

to be fair all i've done today is weed the garden

but are they really that bad? I don't like white ones, surely they are more wooden spoon? esp when you can see pants through them

ggirl · 16/05/2011 13:48

worse if you can't see any pants
bleurgh

OP posts:
KnottyLocks · 16/05/2011 13:51

Oh shit

KnottyLocks · 16/05/2011 13:52

I look a darn sight worse in capris. Honest.

Fimbo · 16/05/2011 13:55

3/4 length primark ones are savage. I don't care if they are only 2p, they are trouser chavness.

I hate the "white stuff look". Dress thing with white long sleeved t-shirt underneath, linen trousers full or 3/4 length, birkies and a long necklace.

notnowbernard · 16/05/2011 13:55

I do however own 2 pairs of recently purchased capri trousers

ggirl · 16/05/2011 13:55

i spent ages looking for nice linen cardi today
ALL of them had either hanky wanky hemlines or those massive sleeves ,can't remember what you call them.
So annoying

notnowbernard · 16/05/2011 13:57

3/4 linen ones are hideous I agree also

I wear my linen ones to work. Am not allowed to wear denim, but have to be comfortable. No one gives a shit what you look like really in a detox clinic Grin

KristinaM · 16/05/2011 13:59

I have navy linen ones for work and I look fab in them ( sticks out tongue)

Ok, but I look passable. Otherwise it's a skirt or dress with either bare legs ( cold and wet here) or opaques, which look stupid in late may

Capris, bf jeans rolled up etc all very well nut not suitable for many workplaces.

Buddhastic · 16/05/2011 13:59

I hate them too. For some reason I thought they looked okay on me but realised that ten mins in and I am always a crumpled baggy assed mess. I put mine in the bin this week.

KristinaM · 16/05/2011 14:01

And neither my arse nor my trousers are baggy

MooMooFarm · 16/05/2011 14:01

I don't like linen anything actually - it always goes baggy and shapeless in no time.

KnottyLocks · 16/05/2011 14:04

I like baggy and shapeless. Goes with my face. And brain.

gramercy · 16/05/2011 14:04

sorry, but capris are not a decent alternative. If you are not 5'10", French and have calves like Pippa Middleton, then you look like a refugee from the Cotton Traders catalogue.

I have several nice pairs of linen trousers (from Primark, natch) full-length and sit below the waist. I maintain they look ok. I am size 8 but have legs like a East German shot-putter.

notnowbernard · 16/05/2011 14:06

I am only 5'6" and most definitely do NOT have calves like Pippa Middleton...

The Capris look alright though

KnottyLocks · 16/05/2011 14:11

My calves are ish- it's my thighs that make capris look awful. My legs taper too much to get away with it.

I am hourglass shape, calves are in alright nick, thighs a bit blobby but ok covered up...

I mean, what alternatives are there? I hate shopping for trousers, I find it so hard to get anything decent

Leggings but only with dress or tunic top but can't wear that combo atm as breastfeeding
