I just dug my linen trousers out and was too busy being pleased that a 38 was loose on me to give a shit.
I too wear them with birkenstocks.

I love my fit flops, but I don't wear them out - well ok I have been to the supermarket in them. They are super comfortable and I am thinking that fit flop boots may be a winter purchase in this house.

capri pant types don't count as cropped trousers. I mean those horrific baggy yokes

Cropped trousers need to flare a bit when they cut off.

If they have a drawstring or elasticated bit, or taper in, they are a no no.
