Big paragraphs appearing when I try to reply to threads

I'm using the browser on a Samsung phone and getting a weird thing - if it happens here I'll leave it so you can see what I mean! Big spaces are appearing at the bottom of posts, like when a cat stands on the enter key. And paragraphs are jumping apart

by themselves and the cursor skips around.

It's not happening on any other sites so definitely not my phone - just had to abandon a post entirely as it was "skipping" so much it became completely unresponsive!

It's seems to be getting worse for me. I can write a post fine until I make a new paragraph, then all hell breaks loose on my screen.

VenusStarr · 24/01/2023 13:26

Getting worse for me too. No better on chrome either.

Mynewhome · 29/01/2023 14:25

This is getting silly now it's literally impossible to post

isittheholidaysyet · 31/01/2023 19:01

I am also having this problem and have virtually given up. Samsung a13 phone. Not sure of the other details.

Also bothepost anymore. And that should say not botheringring to

I give up see the above attempt at a sentence.

isittheholidaysyet · 31/01/2023 19:04

Here's an attempt on chrome.

That seems to be working. But laggy and slow.

However will have to do for the moment.

MichelleScarn · 01/02/2023 20:45

This happening here too. Also on a Samsung
! ND things randomly going bold and all ovr hte place!

Parmavi0lets · 01/02/2023 20:49

No change for me either. I keep vowing never to post again and then I forget, until I try and start a new paragraph. Tis ridiculous.

LilyMumsnet · 01/02/2023 21:13

Viewing all, but I've tried the other options too with no difference.

Catnipples · 02/02/2023 07:21

I thought it was just me! Also Samsung but it happens when I write an email on Hotmail on my browser too (not app) so it may not be a Mumsnet issue 🤔

Natsku · 02/02/2023 07:54

Default number of posts per page. Tried using my tablet last night on chrome browser, got random bolding and ridiculous lag. Mumsnet is really only useable on my laptop now.

BinturongsSmellOfPopcorn · 02/02/2023 08:37

Had a software update overnight.

So testing now to see if it helped fix the probe a no then

bAh. That willl lem.

Walrussy · 02/02/2023 10:17

I've been having this too. Keep having to type replies in my notepad app and then cut and paste them into the mumsnet reply. It's getting really annoying.

Walrussy · 02/02/2023 10:18

Also Samsung.

LilyMumsnet · 02/02/2023 13:25

Hi all

We're really sorry but we don't yet have an update for this one.
If it's causing big issues in the meantime, please could you try posting from a different browser? And let us know if it works/doesn't?

BinturongsSmellOfPopcorn · 02/02/2023 13:32

Chrome works fine for me.

I dislike it as browser - much less functionality - but it's free from technical glitches.

Natsku · 02/02/2023 15:31

My issues are on opera browser, not the samsung one

Natsku · 02/02/2023 15:31

I mean, they might be on the samsung one too but I don't use it

carbonarya · 03/02/2023 10:24

Happening increasingly for me on Ecosia browser. Also noticed that it sometimes puts punctuation like * and ^ between the paragraphs.

GimmeBiscuits · 04/02/2023 09:58

I'm having the same issue. Cursor randomly moves to the middle of a word, big paragraphs, etc.

Us

It's doing it now Also on a Sa
