The first two parts of this thread:
Part 1
Part 2

The purpose of these threads is to allow survivors of childhood sexual abuse, their partners, friends, or parents, to talk in a safe place about what they think and feel. Nothing is off limits or taboo, just say what you want to say.

I had vegetarian too, home made tortillas, veggie burgers and bean burgers, salad etc, a feast!

Such a fast paced thread! Chasing my toddler all day stops me from keeping up!

CailinDana · 16/04/2012 18:21

Frozen pizza here too Blush We're getting groceries delivered tomorrow so the cupboards are bare.

Avalon your post at the end of the last thread was lovely, I'm so glad posting here has helped you :) It has helped me a lot too.

I am very glad I have met you all :)

Thats ace plink :)

I left high school in 91 Dotty.I doubt catholic schools have changed much. We had a specialised` biology class, that was about it.

Ive witnessed weirdness around sex ed issues when I work at a youth club. We wanted to run body awarness sessions with the young people who attended. We had members of the community putting together a petition to stop these going ahead... It worked!!! The club was part of a bigger community centre & management said they couldnrt be seen to ignor concerns from other centre members, fuck what the kids might need. Eventually the youth work leader, my boss was sacked for allegedly handing out condoms to 16 year old, shock horror!! It was a really small town & the young people were too ashamed to buy from the chemist, the place theyd been getting calpol & ear drops & spot cream all their lives... so sad how are young people are let down.

If any good comes of the crap weve all had, I hope its that well raise a generation of kids who are self aware, see all humans as equals, emotionally mature, and hopefully never feel shame the way we have.

TheLaminator · 16/04/2012 18:35

tinned soup Blush
was very tasty though.

PlinkPaSta · 16/04/2012 18:50

Aw Avalon, that made me happy cry, you are wonderful.

That void you talk about, which I've always had, is starting to heal because of you guys.

I saw my therapist today after a break as she was ill and she said "wow" you've got a sparkle back. I just told her I'd found online support and that you guys are amazing :o

We've had hot flatbread with brie and cranberry dipped in a yoghurt and mint sauce, so kind of pizza :o

dottyspotty2 · 16/04/2012 18:54

hope you at least enjoyed your pizzahut NHAN

PlinkPaSta · 16/04/2012 19:48

Hugs Nhan, mmm pizza hut

Avalon, flatbread is a thick tortilla, dry fry one, slice on brie, dollop on cranberry, add a second one on top, when bottom one is brown, flip it over til second one is brown. Plate and slice like a pizza. Other fillings I've tried are mozarella and basil or cheddar, leek and bacon. Sauce was in a bottle, from lidl.

dottyspotty2 · 16/04/2012 19:50

plink sounds lush

dottyspotty2 · 16/04/2012 19:53

PlinkPaSta · 16/04/2012 19:57
