The first two parts of this thread:
Part 1
Part 2

The purpose of these threads is to allow survivors of childhood sexual abuse, their partners, friends, or parents, to talk in a safe place about what they think and feel. Nothing is off limits or taboo, just say what you want to say.

Dotty are you near the wildfires?

Cailin are you in a drought zone?

dead cheeky me :o

CailinDana · 16/04/2012 20:53

Oops should have said North East England Blush. Definitely no drought here!

OP posts:
PlinkPaSta · 16/04/2012 20:59

Haha Cailin, I figured England from suburbia.

I'm middling southern Scotland.

dottyspotty2 · 16/04/2012 20:59

No borders

TOTU · 16/04/2012 21:03

Lancashire lass here so definitely not a Southerner.

All this food talk has made me hungry even after I've had corned beef hash and dumplings with lashings of HP sauce.

And I added low-fat bread but spread 'proper' butter on it?!

It's like ordering a Big Mac, large fries and a Diet Coke Confused. Grin

PlinkPaSta · 16/04/2012 21:04

Dotty's scared I might hunt her down and hug her to death, tis ok I'm too scared to leave the house cos of scalping birds

TOTU if this goes to trial it will be in Lancashire I'm a lancashire lass married to a Yorkshire man.

PlinkPaSta · 16/04/2012 21:11

sorry my first one was a xpost :o

dottyspotty2 · 16/04/2012 21:13

I'm often in Dumfries DD2 has friends there

TOTU · 16/04/2012 21:14

Xmas pud! Probably will taste good but I can't get on with it.

I like fruit cake but I have to pick any cherries out, and large sultanas. They do my head in.

TOTU · 16/04/2012 21:20

Dotty. I hope your abuser gets the full force of the law. I really do, and I admire your courage.

I hope that mentioning my location doesn't bring back bad memories. I know how sometimes things like that can be a trigger.

TheLaminator · 16/04/2012 21:21

oooh, i married a yorkshireman too, ey up!!
I`m northwest, city dweller... not for much longer tho hopefully :)

Low fat bread with proper butter has made me laugh :) thats brilliant!!!

Plink, always good to fancy up a cheap meal with a bit of cheese :)

TheLaminator · 16/04/2012 21:28

sorry posted too quickly... the mention of extra cheese in our house is like a peter kay sketch.... "extra cheese, ooooh yes lovely, love a bit of cheese, oooh grated ta, oooh lovely" you`d think it was caviar or something :)

TOTU - with you on the fruit cake, bblluugh. Husband likes it "with a little bit of cheese, oooh lovely" weirdo :)

PlinkPaSta · 16/04/2012 21:29

Haha Laminator, I'll remember that :) never added cheese to soup.

Dotty, your DD2 might know my DS, he's in Dumfries twice a week.

PlinkPaSta · 16/04/2012 21:32

Totu, yeah the fruit thing is why it's left over :o

TOTU · 16/04/2012 21:32

Laminator, Smile at Peter Kay. His humour is right up my street.

Fruit cake and cheese....it's just ......WRONG Grin

And I do have low fat bread with proper butter every morning for breakfast. Anything else just makes the bread wet and soggy. It's a compromise. Meh!

TOTU · 16/04/2012 21:38

Well, I've got 3 kids off to sleep and am off to watch "Scott & Bailey".

I hope everyone has a good night.

Haircut for me tomorrow - hate it. I think this was discussed before? I always politely decline the head massage and scarper out of the salon asap. I've don't even have my colour done anymore as I started to have panic attacks whilst under the heat lamp Blush.

But, I shall haul my backside off to Manchester tomorrow, endure, and maybe do a teeny tiny bit of retail therapy as well.

Hugs to all, and special hugs to anyone reading that needs or wants to join in.

TheLaminator · 16/04/2012 21:47

TOTU, brilliant! I thought it was a one off, you`ve got yourself into a bread & butter paradox...will you ever be able to escape??

Hope you like it Plink, my DS1 like to wait till it goes stringy. I swirl mine around raspberry ripple stylee... how will you eat yours?

Ive been thrown a test tonight & feel like I should push myself, some of you have taken deep breaths & big/small steps... job interveiws, shopping etc. im not sure if i`m ready for this though?

CailinDana · 16/04/2012 21:53

Laminator, don't feel like you have to push yourself. If you'd like to challenge yourself a little, why not try something small, something you can get away from easily if you feel overwhelmed?
