I'm Mouse and I've been on the bus for 2 months now and not fallen off it as yet. It's much more comfortable than The Wagon! Grin

Anyway, this is thread number nine!

Oh No Christiana,I hope dd2 is feeling much better soon so you can get home.
Are you staying the night in the hospital? Make sure you eat if you do,nurses are so busy they can sometimes forget to offer food (our hospital restaurant/shop shuts very early).I hope you can get hold of your dh soon too.

DD is currently on a high dose of steroids (and countless inhalers) as she's got a chest infection which has sparked her asthma.

It's the season for horrible, wheezy chests

Hospital tea for you!

munkymaz · 09/10/2010 17:14

Christi sorry to hear about your little one, hope she gets well soon.

Mouse I hear you, everyday I think I am ready to do this and everyday the voice in my head manages to talk me out of it Angry .

Mouseface · 09/10/2010 17:23

Rage - you get offered food? I don't even get change for a wee when I'm in with Nemo. Let alone eat.

RageAgainstTheTeen · 09/10/2010 17:27

I have been topping myself up with 'Mindfulness' today.

Thought I'd share this,it may or not help, but it won't harm to try..

'Begin by looking into the mirror right now. What does that Being staring back at you report? Are you giving your best effort to life today? Forget about the past, it is done and over. How about right now?are you doing the best you can in this holy instant? Regardless of how it may look to others, if the answer is yes, then take a deep breath,
sigh and smile. If the answer is no, the good news is it is never too late to start'

RageAgainstTheTeen · 09/10/2010 17:29

mouse I think we've been lucky when we've had hospital stays,we have had a choice of stale sandwiches Grin

Thankfully, we dd hasn't had a admittance for several years.

hippychicky · 09/10/2010 18:44

Looks like stop 10 is just over the horizon. May I hop on board? Have followed the route since end July and found much that I can relate to. Will be back in the morning - off out to see the film about the Dagenham strike - will try to stay awake. I am reknowned for nodding off even if it is a film I really want to see! Will introduce myself a bit more in the morning.

Mouseface · 09/10/2010 19:35

Whitenapteen · 09/10/2010 22:43

WTN here, briefly. Dagenham film was great with audience reaction too! Much female 'sucking of teeth' at the way the posh Ford boss spoke chauvanistically to his wife (Cambridge graduate with first class degree). Should be required viewing for all women - to remind us that it was oh so different only 40 years ago, and yet there are still lessons we could learn - and all men too of course - we are talking about equal rights after all.

Wishing all a peaceful and restful night.

hippychicky · 09/10/2010 22:44

Sleep well all - especially you christi and your little one. I am in the land of teenage sleepovers so not anticipating much sleep. However on the plus side having been a taxi all evening I have gone past the danger hours without noticing!

Mouseface · 09/10/2010 22:52

Well done hippy xx
