Hello, welcome to thread five!! Smile

I'm Mouse and I'm 10 whole days sober which is bloody amazing given that I would normally consume nearly 90 units per week! And that's without 'special occasions'!! Shock

So, if I can do it, you can do it! The support here is awesome, no matter where you are in your quest to quit. No judging, no cliquey groups.

We are just real, honest people. All helping each other to give up the booze. Come meet the other Brave Babes........................

And for those who would like to read the adventures so far, here are the links from the first four threads!

JWN's original thread (the reason we are all here)

I'm back. Phew! That was super hard today!

MsGee - Hmm, re the whole pyschological poo issues with DD. DS's paed cons has just said the same about his constant vomiting, until he saw the vidoe we took of him doing it.

Is she on any meds? How did this start? Tell me to sod off if I'm being nosy btw. Just wondered if I could suggest another way to get a new/better/different doc on baord? Smile

And, a very good point about my rubbish title for the last thread. I agree that is needs to be clearer! Sorry. Blush

mouse - It was not a rubbish title! There are loads of signposts from the last thread anyway so people could follow on!

(Are you OK to do the new one?! I could not cope with trying to get the links on there! I nearly had a heart attack just doing the 2nd thread! Please!!)

Mouseface · 24/08/2010 14:08

Red

Yes, of course. I'll do it now and do all of the links and then we'll be ready to go!!!! Before DS wakes and needs my undivided!!

PLEASE FILL THIS THREAD UP FIRST BABES!!!! Smile

Did Miflaw disappear again or is it that no-one needs help Hmm

desiretochange · 24/08/2010 14:19

Can I ask McGee, am a little bit confused or maybe I haven't read through all the postings properly, but am trying to figure out what the connection is between joining this thread and your daughter being in nursery an extra day?

RedMoomin · 24/08/2010 14:24

It was very short from MIFLAW today! Come on MIFLAW we like to see you here!

Mouseface · 24/08/2010 14:28

Hello.

Phew, that was hard work!! All these threads to link! Kidding!! Grin

All done and dusted.

New thread here

Thanks mouse!

MsGee · 24/08/2010 14:32

Sorry desire... I am self employed and because I was getting behind in work (drinking in evening, groggy next day) I had to put DD in nursery extra day. With everything else going on it meant that I felt very guilty. Its all a bit muddled in my own mind, sorry.

Mouseface · 24/08/2010 14:33

You're welcome.

MsGee

Yes, I remember what you said earlier about the issues with catching up on work, wanting DD to have that extra day in nursery so you could catch up due to losing time when hungover etc......

Is that right or am I crossing wires?

Hmm, let me have a think re DD and the poo issues. Need to get DS up...... back in a mo.

Mouseface · 24/08/2010 14:34

Agh! X posted.

Ok, so I was right, that's you.

Back soon.

OP posts:
MsGee · 24/08/2010 14:34

Actually, now worried that anyone who knows me will identify me with earlier post so might get it deleted. Not sure if that is a bit paranoid or not.

desiretochange · 24/08/2010 14:36

Thanks for explaining McGee, was a bit confused there but makes sense now:)

RedMoomin · 24/08/2010 14:38

Get it deleted if you want MsGee. You are probably worrying too much but if it makes you uncomfortable just get rid!

desiretochange · 24/08/2010 14:43

Agree with Red, it's ok us saying that you are probably worrying for nothing, but why add to your worries? Get it deleted if you are genuinely worried!

Mouseface · 24/08/2010 14:48

MsGee

Yes, delete if it will cause you worry........ do you want me to get mine done aswell?

OP posts:
MIFLAW · 24/08/2010 15:10

I'm here and keeping a close eye on proceedings, don't worry!

RedMoomin · 24/08/2010 15:13

That's very good to know MIFLAW, thank you!

MsGee · 24/08/2010 15:26

No, that is fine but thanks for the offer!

desiretochange · 24/08/2010 15:27

Red have you made any resolutions for this evening apart from not drinking?

RedMoomin · 24/08/2010 15:33

Tonight...
a, I am going to enjoy my lovely dinner of Thai chicken with DH
b, I am going to read my book
c, I am going to stick to 1500 calories for the day (despite the fact that I am very, very hungry right now and am having to control the urge to hunt out some chocolate in the office.)
d, I am going to try to drink more water this evening instead of the usual diet coke-fest.
Smile
What about you desire?

desiretochange · 24/08/2010 15:46

Tonight Red I am:
(a) I am going to finish my book
(b) I am going to my friends later for dinner

This is the friend with whom I normally end up drinking 2-3 bottles of wine with but tonight I am going to drink water (only really fan of soft drinks etc either with alcohol or with a hangover)!

RedMoomin · 24/08/2010 15:51

What book are you reading desire? It will probably be something worthy that I have never heard of Smile!
