Hello all.

Apologies for being really rubbish at posting recently and for still not having done a bump pic. But have finished for ML now so will have Tues Weds and Thurs to get myself sorted and will do a proper good catch up and so on v v shortly.

So this is kind of a bookmark post with a promise to be back later.

Kisses all

belgina · 20/09/2010 16:40

momi I got the coat and it's in stock. Should be with me on Wed Grin

smokey Hi. Looking forward to that bump pic. I was going through me 2009 pics over the weekend and found my old bump pics pgrin] Oh how that brought back memories

Gert2a · 21/09/2010 09:24

Hi Ladies,

Just thought I'd check in with you all and say hello.

Unfortunately I haven't been keeping up to date with the thread, but just thought I'd share my news that I'm 38 weeks pregnant and ELCS booked for next Thursday!

Can't wait to meet new DD2. DD1 is on top form and doing all the things that I guess your May 09 babies are doing too.

Anyway hope you, your children and families are all well.

Gert x

momino · 21/09/2010 14:29

Gert!!! Grin so exciting! please, please come back on here to update us after dd2 arrives and things have settled down (ahem) a bit?
congratulations on the pregnancy and all best wishes for a smooth elc and happy arrival! sigh, how lovely.

smokey, I can't believe you're on ML already, it does feel like it's flying. how are you feeling?

belgina, I want that coat!

all ok here. had a work conference call with H in the background, though she was fairly quiet. It was the dog who made the most noise!

DH's birthday today and, although we'd made a choc cake over the weekend, I've made a 'grownup' Green &Blacks choc mousse cake as a surprise. mmmmmmmmmmm. got steak and chips to look forward to as well (sorry to the veggies here!).

got to run to put out washing as it's beeyoutiful outside and almost school run time!

hope you're all well.

runningmonkey · 21/09/2010 16:07

Woooo hoooo gert so excited for you Grin

Hello everyone else - soooo tired and tryng to muster up the energy to cook something for A's tea (all food smells are making feel bleurgh atm).

llareggub · 21/09/2010 17:15

Congratulations Gert! Lovely to see you again.

As we are not-so-rapidly approaching 1000 messages, shall we consider migrating to the "off the beaten track" area of mumsnet? It launched today and is not googleable and threads automatically get deleted after 30 days. Of course, our threads last longer than that these days but might address the privacy concerns some of us have had from time to time.

Whaddya think?

Another vote here for the off the beaten track area.Must investigate!!

Congrats to gert. Please come back and tell us when your DD has arrived!!

We are on day 2 of controlled crying with R so am heading back to bed shortly as DS1 at school and R off at nursery. So taking the bump back to bed now with a decaff coffee and (oh my gosh these are nice) a McVities Choc Chip cookie, to watch some crap tv and hopefully snooze for a bit.

FiByTheIcySea · 22/09/2010 10:26

Words of warning. Do not , under any circumstances, buy Mcvities Great American Chocolate Chip cookies. I have polished off 2 packs in 2 days.

gert Great news! Hope your elcs goes well. Amazing how you kept it secret for so long Wink

dandy Glad to 'see' you on here again. Hope you're OK.

momi Lol at the dog barking through your work conference call.

running Just keep reminding yourself. The bluergh trimester of pregnancy always seems to last longer than it really does. It'll be over before you know it. In the mean time use it as an excuse to eat only those things you crave Grin

smokey Shock Mat leave again already! With 2 on board that must be welcome.

thread moving Hmmm, like the idea, however we really could do with a 120 day thread life nowadays. Look at this one. It's already been going 4m or so!

I worked a long shift yesterday and it seems like that was a BIG mistake. Overnight C slept terribly, it was like she wanted to be near me all the time, but she's always twirling my hair keeping me awake. In her cot she'd only stay asleep for 10mins. I ended up being awake from 1-3.30. Then this morning she was super clingy and I needed to be in her line of sight at ALL TIME. She screamed when I left to go to work, making me feel all horrible. I really hope she gets past this super clingy stage soon. It's been going for nearly 3 weeks now Sad

Hi to everyone I've not NC'd btw. I'm a bit sleep deprived and food and drink deprived (no break at work at all) so brain is only half working.

FiByTheIcySea · 23/09/2010 10:04

belgina sorry you had to go to work feeling so rotten then having a hard shift on top of that. hope you are feeling more refreshed this am x
smokey those biscuits sound too yummy. i must try avoid them I think Wink
offthebeatentrack a 120day like belgina says is better suited to us but I like all the points dandy made. at the end of the day as long as we have a thread somewhere I don't mind which Grin

pulapula · 23/09/2010 13:48

belgina- sorry to hear C is still beign super-clingy. S is not as bad as he was, but still screams when we leave his room, and last night he was wide awake at 1.30 too for the first time in AGES and I couldn't get him back to sleep til after 2.30 Hmm.

I was a bit upset yesterday. DD said last night that she didn't have a very nice day at school. We asked why, and after some probing, it seems that 4 or 5 Y2 boys and a new Y1 girl pushed and hit her in the playground. Her friend told them to stop and they said "we haven't finished yet" Sad. A playground assistant saw something and came over, and the children in question went to the head teacher and were put on the "black cloud" - not sure if this means that their parents will be informed or not, but I'm a bit shocked by their behaviour - not sure whether to speak to the head about it or just keep checking it doesn't happen again.

FiByTheIcySea · 23/09/2010 18:49

pula that's dreadful! Sad how awful for your dd x was her day ok today? I hope the school keep a close eye on those kids and make sure they don't do it again.

pulapula · 23/09/2010 19:55

Thanks Fi - I am hoping it was a one-off. I asked if anything happened today, and whether they said sorry and she said some of them came over at morning break and said sorry to her, so hopefully that's that. DDs only a little thing, and the thought of her being hounded like that makes me Angry and Sad.

FiByTheIcySea · 23/09/2010 21:28

pula i'm glad some said sorry to your dd x I too was Angry and Sad that something like that could happen.. thank goodness someone noticed and put a stop to it.

well, since we have just one post left, I've started a new thread here, still on postnatal until we can decide to go ont the offthebeaten track. there are only a handful of threads there now so felt a bit timid starting a postnatal one there.

dandy, hope you're ok; pula, hope your DD is ok very Sad.

see you all on the next thread. x
