Evening all,

Sorry for absence and thanks for all your get well wishes... turns out not a stomach bug at all because (dying to tell someone who isn't DH) I got a BFP :o :o :o oh and a Shock for good measure! All being well I'll be keeping up the tradition with a May 2011 baby :o

Well done to C belg hope you have a quiet on call tonight. Sorry about all your au pair troubles but glad you have someone good coming to help you out while you sort it. Oh and your DS' spots - are they Molluscum? My friend's DS has it and it looks v like chicken pox and she said it is quite uncomfortable and itchy esp coupled with excema which IIRC your DS has doesn't he?

favourite shops I love fatface and white stuff but also gap and H&M. Its a bad bad thing they are available online for my bank balance!

Have a fab hol llare having spent a week near there at the beginning of the hols I am v Envy. I can recommend a day at Folly Farm for entertaining DC's. Also hope your GM is doing ok.

Fi loving the new lingerie. How's your Dad doing now?

ses not sure when your hen do was but my bridesmaids did a great Mr &Mrs game where they asked my DH lots of questions about me - favourite book, film, and things like what did he think was my best feature, etc. I had to then guess the answers. Some of them were so lovely they made me cry Blush

hiya dandy, blotted and anyone else lurking.

belgina · 30/08/2010 18:44

running Shock Grin What absolutely fabulous fabulous news!!! Congratulations!!!

DH and I were discussing a dc4 just this evening. He says that a broodiness for a squishy little newborn isn't a good enough reason to TTC. Honestly, he doesn't understand women. But we still haven't decided.

I'm calling a prospective ap tonight, she's Swedish and seems OK.

pulapula · 30/08/2010 20:14

running - congratulations on the BFP. Hope the sickness was temporary and not something that will continue!

FiByTheIcySea · 30/08/2010 20:26

Grin fantastic news running Grin i'm hoping for a happy accident as dh isn't keen to ttc again but if I got a bfp he'd go happily along with it :)
belgina good luck with your chat with the swedish ap. C's definitely on the move now Grin sofa climbing will be next!
dad is improving thankfully.. still in hospital atm.
off to check out link of where llare is off to..

momino · 30/08/2010 20:35

Running, Grin Grin!

Hope you're feeling ok. Please keep us updated with your cravings etc. I'm really sad not to be TTC again but will live through any of you who are preg Smile!

Fi, glad you Dad is improving andhope he's out of hospital soon.

Belgina, good luck on the next AP. Fingers crossed! And, hope you have a quiet night, too.

Back to stuff antenatal information packs. hoorah.

Tummum · 30/08/2010 20:54

Running Grin huge congratulations !

Fi glad things are improving

Llare stop it! Linking to ace shopping sites. My wallet is itching already!

Belgina hope you don't get the call and you get some rest tonight. What a pita situation with the ap.

Dandy nice to 'see' you and very creative hen night suggestions. I'm with the "I can't stand hen nights" club.

Pula no indication of decent speaking here. Everything is "ca" "ca" which I think is "cat" but I don't really know!

Blotted no wonder you're exhausted love! Take it easy on yourself.

So, I have the hump because DH came home on Thurs night and is now back state-side again tomorrow for 2 weeks. I can feel the stressed/shouty Mummy coming back as I think about the whole weekend on my own. Arrrgghh!

Fi glad things are improving for your Dad (sos, brain ahead of typing fingers!)

runningmonkey · 31/08/2010 10:01

Thanks everyone :o I've thankfully stopped being ill but am soooooo tired. Just in time for term to start too Hmm

belg saw fb and glad your ap situation looks like being sorted.

tum That sounds v hard. Deep breaths and get yourself something nice in to eat/drink or a cheesy chick flick to look forward to once lo's are in bed so you have some nice relaxation time.

Fi glad your Dad is doing ok.

pula re speaking - A is a right chatterbox and says lots of things 'socks on' and 'arm in' are current favourites. We've really had to watch what we say around her as she tried to copy a lot atm. I was talking to my Mum about it last week and apparently I was exactly the same. My brother on the other hand didn't speak a recognisable word until almost 2 when he came out with a full sentence ('want that one' in true little Britain style apparently!). Just shows how they're all so different.

IL's are arriving for the day soon - I am making my escape by going to work for a few hours in prep for tomorrow. Going to make a lasagne for tea tonight first though.

Have a good day all

essenceofSES · 31/08/2010 11:19

running - CONGRATS!!!! Grin Grin Grin
Glad you're feeling a bit better. How many weeks are you?

Tummum - that does sound tough. Shame we don't all live a bit nearer each other so we can get together and help out!

Llare - hope DS2 stayed sickness free. Your holiday looks and sounds good!

Belgina - really glad it looks like your AP situation is sorted. Fingers crossed she's a good one!

shopping - really pleased to see Zara and H&M coming online. We just need Gap online now!

Hen night - thanks for all your suggestions. It was a lovely evening even it was a bit tame Grin I did her a notebook with lots of love/wedding quotes in and decorated it. We also got her a couple of helium balloons and a chocolate champagne bttle. All I need to do now is dramatically lose my belly to fit into my dress on Saturday!

ttc - I'm temping and using ClearBlue Fertility Monitor this month and looks like I should ov today or tomorrow so DH is under strict instructions for tonight Grin

Blottedcopybook · 31/08/2010 11:40

Running Congrats!!

Belgina Hooray for C's steps :)

Reggiee · 31/08/2010 21:54

Running fab fab fab news Grin Envy. Many congrats!

Hope everyone else is doing well. I will come back here soon to say a proper hi .

smokeybacon · 01/09/2010 09:31

Bonjour mes amies!

Back from hols so bookmarking for later.

smokeybacon · 01/09/2010 13:50

So hoping to do a half decent nc but apologies in advance if I forget anyone...

running congratulations!!!!! What fab news. Hope it all runs smoothly.

flip you are probably mid move right now and hoping it all goes well.

tummum Wow. San Fran. Its a fantastic city and am a wee bit Envy of you but completely understand the reservations you have. But also so exciting!!

fi hope your dad is improving.

belgina glad to see your AP situation has eased. How was the swedish one? And glad to see that C and pulas S are being little stars with the sleeping.

dandy so good to see you. Hows the writing coming along? And your DH's job search? I'm afraid I forget whether he had found something the last time we "spoke". Hope all the RL stuff that was going on too has settled down.

ses good luck with the TTC amd hen night sounds great.

llare I quite like Boden too.

reggiee helllloooooo to you too.

Midwife for me this afternoon for a nasty anti D jab. On the upside I should get the form for the HIP grant.

I am well, I guess, but man, am hating this pregnancy. Feel huge, the bump is sooooooo heavy, have difficulty sleeping, am breathless. Oh I could whine about it all day!!!! 11 weeks to go till the magic 38 weeks.

Holiday was great. Spending time with DH and the DSs was lovely but I hadn't realised how hard it would be on hol with the twin bump. I found it so hard to get comfy anywhere except lying on a bed surrounded by pillows. we went here amd it was fabulous. We were right on the beach. Literally right on the beach!! Fantastic holiday when you have kids in tow.

R is being super super cute at the mo. He is babbling away. We have "up" "daddy" "boo" (book) "baw" (ball). But like *belgina"'s C he chit chats away in his baby language. It is sooooo cute. We still need to crack the sleeping. Some nights he will go through to 5 - 5.30am, others he is awake at 1am, cries and has to come in with us to settle. Which I don't mind at the moment, but for obvious reasons, it will have to stop soon.

runningmonkey · 03/09/2010 19:52

evening all, just checking in to say hello.

reg and smokey nice to see you :)

smokey sorry you are struggling. I bet the bump is heavy! Started typing things like 'not long to go now' and then remembered how annoying I found that when I was fed up and overdue so I won't. Have a hug though if you want one :)

tum hope you are surviving your solo weekend so far. I don't think I'm massively far from you so if you need some support or want to get out, we could try to get together.

ses hope the ttc is going well this week :)

Well I can report that the exhaustion has hit proper although that could also have something to do with being back in work - kids were back today and my day finished with a not v nice incident with a badly behaved student and first detention of the year given out :( Ah well, four days off again now to regroup ready for the onslaught next week :)

Hiya to everyone else hope all is well and you are all having nice weekends so far.

essenceofSES · 03/09/2010 20:42

Running - sounds like a tough start to the new term. Hope you get chance to rest and chill over the weekend.

Smokey - only 11 weeks left?! Your pregnancy seems to have gone really quickly! (I realise that may not be the case for you...!)

Reggiee - hope all's well with you

ttc - I'm out for this month. To cut a long story short, DH and I have both been feeling under pressure with all sorts going on in RL and so no GOF but some good progressive chats. We have agreed that we still want to ttc now but this just wasn't our month. It probably didn't matter though as although CBFM gave me some highs and a couple of peaks, my temps suggest that I tried to ovulate but didn't :(

My brother's wedding tomorrow anyway so at least I can enjoy a few drinks! Really looking forward to it :)

momino · 05/09/2010 18:30

Hi all. as usual, a quick one.
I find it so hard to keep up with BOTH FB and MN but usually do one or the other.

Smokey, I know it prob feels like ages to you but I'm with ses... only 11 weeks!

Ses, hugs to you for the stress of ttc. In any case, glad you're having some good chats with DH. Hope you had a good time at the wedding.

Running, hope you're relaxed after the weekend and recovered from the tough end of last week.

Tumm, hope you're weekend is going well.

Regg, llare, blotted, good to see you. any lurkers and those not NCed, I hope you're well.

I really must go to help dd1 get her things ready for the Big Day at School tomorrow. I'm going to wear big glasses to hide my teary eyes. I can't believe she's going to school!

see you all either here or FB.

runningmonkey · 05/09/2010 20:47

Evening momi and anyone else who is lurking :)

momi good luck for tomorrow - not that your DD1 needs it but I guess you might :o I really hope she has a fab day. I vividly remember my Mum picking me up from my first day at school and going for a cup of tea and a cake in the cafe down the road and me telling her all about my reading book called 'the bread and butter house'. I can even remember the story!

ses hope you had fun at the wedding this weekend. sorry you are having a stressful time with ttc but as Momi says it is good that you and DH are having some quality chats and hope it happens for you as soon as you want it too :)

I've got to admit I've ducked into the May 2011 thread over the last few days. Its quite busy but v weird as I feel like I'm cheating on you all :o

Hope everyone has had a good weekend and that the week ahead goes well.

smokeybacon · 07/09/2010 12:43

momi and fi hope the first days at school went well for everyone. Loved the photos on FB fi. So sweet!!

DS1 back at school too today. Can't beleive 6 weeks of the summer hols gone so quick.

ses hope you had fun at the wedding

running I know what you mean about the "new" ante natal thread! I felt the same. There are also sooooooo many people on there its difficult to keep up. Having said that there are a few in my area and so a meet up is planned shortly. Could be interesting!! How are you feeling generally?

Not seen spangle for a bit. Hope you are ok.

belgina · 08/09/2010 22:17

Hi everyone,

Our thread has become so slow that it's near enough stopped. And to think we used to be regularly popping up in the most active threads. But that's what pregnancy does to you I suppose AND nowadays we're spending so much more time on F/B too.

Looks like everyone's little ones have gone back to school without any trouble. My 2 went off OK too. DS is excited about now being able to read the y4 books he was interested in last year (they have 2 years in 1 class) and dd1 is now also one of the big ones in her class. Dd1 celebrated the new school year by giving herself another new haircut. 2nd time she's done that now in less than a year, I wonder why Hmm

smokey I must admit that I'm also Shock at how quickly your pregnancy is going! You'll have 4 little ones before you know it.

ses Hope the wedding was good and that you had those few drinks you were looking forward to

running How are you feeling? Not too tired/sick?

Night everyone.

FiByTheIcySea · 09/09/2010 11:56

NCA needed on our thread atm I think. We're all so busy atm & I don't know about everyone else but by the time i've read all posts i've run out of time to NC post myself!

belgina i was thinking the same about our thread last night.. how we were rattling through threads so fast we were constantly having to think up new thread titles Grin I too just about manage to keep track on FB and love seeing everyone's new photos etc. Grin
sorry i'm not making it on much these days Sad RL just v chaotic..

momino · 09/09/2010 20:59

Thanks Fi, you read my mind about NCA. I've actually got a lot of work to do tonight but thought I'd slink in here first since it's been a few days.

Glad the DC's have made it to school ok! I'm so relieved about my dd1. she seems so happy as well. i'm over the moon.

Hope the pregnancies are going well and think it's great you've got over to the Other Threads. It's lovely to meet people in the same boat. I really needed company during my pregnancies and post birth, etc and made some lasting friendships as a result (love you all, sniff). I'm still in contact with the Bounty mums from my 1st pregnancy and hope I'll be in touch with you all for a long time!

ok, back to work. hope everyone is well. x

belgina · 09/09/2010 21:57

Oh momi Big hug to you too. Have you had a drink? You know, you seem so emotional and all that, lol Grin

I've been waiting for DH and the new ap for the last hour (nearly) and they're still not here from the airport. [anxious emoticon]

FiByTheIcySea · 09/09/2010 22:57

momino it's a relief that our dc's have enjoyed starting school isn't it! mind you DS won't be doing full days until october.. am's or pm's until then which is playing havoc with when G likes to nap in the day atm..
belgina any sign of your dh & new ap yet? hope she settles in and is as good as your best ones of before!
I can't imagine losing touch with any of you.. even if we make it to NS i'm planning on popping on! although the time difference may mean i'll be posting when everyone's fast asleep Grin
