Oooh! Lovely. Bargainous indeed.

FiByTheIcySea · 24/08/2010 20:35

I forgot to separate the links though my full price bright set is below the bargain set link!

llareggub · 24/08/2010 20:41

You definitely made the right choice. I LOVE the pink.

FiByTheIcySea · 24/08/2010 21:17

Grin I get excited when I see bras that are not just white, cream, nude or black as they used to be all I could get in my size.. i suppose i have the popularity of boob jobs to thank for my new range of choices! i have settled down from the 34k i was at the start of bf to just a 30j.. for me that's almost small lol!

Tummum · 24/08/2010 22:14

Hello!

Fi lovely purchases! And Envy at measuring 30j ! How's your Dad?

Running hope you are feeling better

Hi Llare How's your GM?

I can't see previous page and my memory rubbish, so apologies at crap NC

So, new job is good. New company very nice. Nanny brilliant (worth going to work so she can look after DC!). Journey to and from work a complete arse. And I am wondering whether I have bitten off more than I can chew as it is a mega big job and I don't know whether I can be arsed with it all, to be honest! It's very hard with the states thing going on in the background, but I am not saying anything to work until we say a final yes to the deal in the states (lots of negotiating about shipping stuff over, health cover, house rent etc etc etc). Thanks all for your good wishes about my new job.

Right, gonna crash and get some sleep before round 3 of "I haven't the faintest idea what you are talking about, so I am just nodding and smiling" at work tomorrow.

Hope you are all well.xxx

fi - Shock 30J Shock

I want to get some nice bras, but i know when i've stopped BF before, I've lost a lot, from 36C to 36A Sad so i keep thinking i will wait.

Well, the noise levels were much higher today as DD and DS1 returned from my parents Smile. And shouty mum was back too Blush but I thought i remained very calm tonight when I had to deal with DS2 pooing on the carpet in the minute between getting him out of the bath and fetching a nappy, and then whilst cleaning it up and putting on his nappy, DS1 pooed in the bath Hmm. He's never done that before (well not since he was a little baby) and he even had a breakthrough at my mums where he did his first poo on the toilet. Feels like its one step forward, and 2 back.

FiByTheIcySea · 25/08/2010 00:16

tummum i'm sure you'll feel less like a fish out of water at work less and less each day! glad you're enjoying it and that the new nanny is fabby. dad was more awake today but will still be in for a while if the last few bouts are anything to go by.
pula i'm sure the pooing was down to the excitement and relaxation of being back home with you Grin i'm hoping to drop a cup size (or 2 would be better) when i stop bf so my choice of undies would get easier. Unfortunately i don't think i'll drop much as my cup size (after the initial post birth settling down drop) has stayed one bigger than before each dc so far.. before DS i was an H.. then HH & now J Hmm to be honest being this size is a complete pita!! i've got used to them but at times i do feel they're now quite ridiculous really. i think katie price's boobs look huge and they're a 30gg..

llareggub · 25/08/2010 06:17

DS2 slept all night for the first time in months!

Tummum · 25/08/2010 07:20

Woo-hoo Llare do you feel all refreshed after a mega sleep?

OP posts:
FiByTheIcySea · 25/08/2010 08:56

Yahoo llare fantastic! Grin

essenceofSES · 25/08/2010 13:16

Llare - Grin hope you get a repeat tonight!

Pula - must be something about at the moment as O did a poo on the carpet for DH last night!

Fi - glad to hear your dad is making progress. Hope he continues well and is home soon

Tummum - I can't imagine starting a new job with a new company as I've only ever worked for Boots. Must be v strange but I'm sure it will all settle down. Is your DH back from the States yet?

Running - hope you're back to 100% now.

PILs arrived yesterday. So far so good!

Hello everyone else - Momino, Flip, Grumpy, Reggiee, saus, Febes , Spangle, Omnomtom, Smokey and anyone else around!

momino · 25/08/2010 13:31

Name Check Amnesty please!

I've got a lot of work to do in limited time but wanted to at least come on MN to say hello .

DH is on hol this week to do some exterior painting (rain, go away) and other house improvements. well, today with dd2&H at nursery we took dd1 to see Toy Story 3 finally. The cinema was very loud and she held her ears for the first half of the film then said she wanted to leave. I was worried she'd kick up a fuss but with more popcorn and froot shoot and cuddles with both mum and dad, she sat through the whole film (to my relief).

I think she really liked it as she's been asking non-stop questions about it. I loved it and quietly sobbed at the end when the mum looks at Andy's empty room. just reminds me how fast time flies and our little ones grow up too quickly .

have to go to a work meeting tonight about an hour away so won't be around. will try to namecheck everyone next time round.

Meanwhile, hope you're all well and enjoying cuddles with little ones!

Blottedcopybook · 25/08/2010 18:42

waves in an exhausted fashion

How is everyone?

FiByTheIcySea · 25/08/2010 19:13

waves to ses momino blotted
don't wear yourself out at your meeting tonight momino
new business exhaustion is pretty unavoidable but extremely hard nonetheless blotted you have my sympathies & wishes that you get a chance to sit back and rest soon & that business booms
ses so what did your dh do faced with the poo?

essenceofSES · 25/08/2010 20:49

Fi - I was working late so DH had to deal with it! There is a dodgy mark left on the carpet but I'll attack it with Vanish at some point! DH had put O on the floor because he'd just pooed on his clean nappy before DH had had chance to do it up. He'd obviously not finished pooing though!

Hello Blotted! Your activities on FB make me ehausted an I only read about it! Hope the new business is going well. Just wish I lived a bit nearer!

Momino - sounds like a lovely cinema trip with DD1. Glad she (and you!) enjoyed it in the end :)

It has been such a miserable day here. Not great for entertaining the ILs! O was also v grumpy as his bum is still so sore from teething. Not so much a rash, more just red raw in patches :( He's asleep now so hope he stays that way til morning. His bum is well protected with sudocrem and powder so hoping it will be ok!

The space for our new kitchen is now opened up and it does feel lovely to have that extra space. Just need the units, windows and appliances now! Walls are being plastered tomorrow.

pulapula · 26/08/2010 09:53

Sorry for lack on NC but just popped in to speak to Momino as I can't get FB message to work (I'm at work Blush

Momino I know it's short notice, and don't worry if you're busy or if it's inconvenient, but I wondered about coming to York next Weds just with Katie (her last day off before she goes back to school), and wondered if you fancied meeting up for lunch (my treat). Even more short notice, is that I have all 3 tomorrow and am at a loose end, but that might be too much for both of us!

belgina · 26/08/2010 22:28

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for all the sympathies re C's peanut allergy. Now we're back from our visit to Belgium, we've been to the GP and have been kitted out with an epi-pen. The GP thought that the history I gave was enough in terms of determining her allergy. He didn't think that testing was necessary as allergies often come and go, which makes sense in a way.

llare How's your gm?

tumm How exciting it must be to be you at the moment! New job! New brilliant nanny! Plans for the US!

fi Every time you talk about your boob size I go Shock I find 32dd bad enough! For some reason my size falls between the normal and big boob ranges Hmm Oh and I'm with llare: get the nice ones now Grin I swapped to underwired when dd1 dropped to am and pm feeds only.
How's your dad doing now?

llare Hurrah! You must feel all nice and rested :)

blotted Hope your new business is going well. Sounds like hard work, but also sounds like you're enjoying it

pula How exciting! TTC for no4 (soon)! Also a bit Envy

ses Your new kitchen sounds like it's coming on. It'll be lovely when it's all done. There's not much nicer in life than a nice new kitchen Grin

Well, as some of you have seen on f/b; our ap is leaving us. She's happy to stay until we've found someone else and is feeling very guilty, but she's too home sick to stay. TBH she has been clearly unhappy the whole time with us, so it's the best thing in the long run, but for now it's a right PITA. For some reason something's gone wrong with the last few au pairs. I'm pretty sure it's not us. Maybe over the last 5 years young people have just changed a lot? I really really feel like just staying home if this happens again some time soon. It's just so stressful Sad

Also a big hello to momi, smokey, flippin, sausage , spangle, omnom (love the new name btw), reggie, grumpy* and anyone else I might have forgotten :)

belgina · 26/08/2010 22:30

Oh and I forgot to say that tonight I put C to bed, walked away and it stayed quiet!! That's after her screaming for the last few months when I dared to even look at the door! No sleep training or anything. It just happened out of the blue Shock

pulapula · 26/08/2010 23:03

belgina sorry about your AP being homesick and wanting to leave. Such a shame.

Also it's funny how C and my S have both started to self-settle at the same time- I can't think of anything I've done differently either. He watches me go out of the door now, where previously any movement towards it he'd start standing up and/or crying.

Still not sure about no.4 (i think the cons outnumber the pros at the moment) but will make a decision once my periods are back!

flipflopsattheready · 27/08/2010 11:06

Hello all! Sorry for no name checking, am trying to phone every organisation under the sun to tell them we are moving!

Manic here, stressful week waiting to exchange, finally done Wednesday. As reported on FB, move is Tuesday, OMG. There is a lot to do. MIL is here (and will be for another 10 days Shock) but she is being very good with the girls while I get the house sorted. DH is on the mend but still in quite a lot of pain.

I'll be offline for a couple of weeks after the move, don't know how I'll manage!

Hope everyone ok!

belgina · 27/08/2010 20:04

pula That's exactly the same with C. Up until the day before yesterday I only had to look at the door and she was off, screaming at the top of her lungs. Proper panicky kind of screaming even. Then tonight she was like last night: she watched me walk out the door, called baba a few times and then just went quiet that was that. It's funny, I remember when S and C were nb they seemed to have a similar temperament. Seems like in some ways they still are similar!

flip Good luck with the move. How exciting. Stressfull, but exciting!

Nearly had a heart attack today. Got an e-mail from the ap's dad saying he's coming to pick her up this sunday! AP quickly got in touch with him saying no, that's too soon. She's now going on the 11th of Sept. Hopefully I might have someone by then. If not one of our ex ap's has offered to come over for a little while until we've found someone, which was very sweet of her. The way things stand, I might have to take her up on the offer.

pulapula · 27/08/2010 22:20

flip- hope the move goes well - we will have to wait until you are online again to hear how everything went.

Just wondering if i should be concerned about Ss speech (or lack of it). He says "da da da" when he wants DH, and says "ook" for "look" and "ah ah" when he sees a bird or duck ("quack quack"). He understands a lot, and gets what he wants by pointing, shouting and so on. He doesn't bother much with signs either even though i've been trying to encourage him. It would be nice if he said mama or had a word for me but he doesn't Hmm.

pulapula · 27/08/2010 22:28

belgina- hope you get a replacement AP sorted soon. It's a shame your AP didn't want to try a bit longer, as I'm sure homesickness can improve (or at least come in waves?) I was older than your AP when I worked abroad (Luxembourg) and at times I was homesick but was fine most of the time.

It's funny with S because we've tried sleep training of all types (CC, PUPD, gradual withdrawal) - GW didn't work because as soon as i tried to move further away he didn't like it Smile). CC worked the best but still always involved some crying even if only a few minutes. But i tended to just stay with him rather than upset him. But he just seems to have reached a stage where he was comfortable to let me go. With DD and DS1 this was more like at 5mo not 15mo, so it's been a bit of a shock and shows how different they all are. He fell asleep in the car today and woke when i got him out and transferred him to his cot, but i just covered him with a duvet and walked out - previously it would take a while to encourage him back to sleep.

essenceofSES · 27/08/2010 22:29

Hello all!

Pula - that sounds fairly similar to O. He only has sounds that DH and I recognise as words and he doesn't use them consistently. He says "ish" for my parents' fish tank and sometimes "og" for dog and he has a noise for cuddle that sounds a bit like "cagu". No word for me at all. This week he's definitely started to make more varied noises but no more actual words.

Flip - hope all goes well for you. Look forward to your update!

Belgina - glad your GP took the nut allergy seriously. Hopefully you won't ever have need to use the Epipen.

I'm taking my brother's fiancee out for a pre-wedding girls' night (meal at italian restaurant) on Monday with my mum and my cousin. She moved down from Scotland about a year ago and doesn't have a lot of friends down here so hasn't had a proper hen do. She's quite shy and doesn't want a full hen do but I'm wondering whether there's anything fun we can do at the restaurant to make it a bit special. Any ideas anyone?!

FiByTheIcySea · 27/08/2010 22:41

flip good luck with the move! can you send some good luck vibes here.. we have someone coming to view tomorrow lunchtime so i've been endeavouring to de-holiday toysrus our flat and make it presentable. just a quick hoover & dust in the am and keep everything crossed!!
belgina hope you get a suitable ap by the 11th but reassuring to have the back up offer from a previous one :-) & fantastic that you and pula's lo's have both cracked self settling. awww all our babas are growing up
ses how did the plastering go in your lovely new kitchen!
here.. dad is looking better and slowly getting a bit of an appetite back. but it's taken such a toll on him his MS has got worse to the extent he doesn't have enough strength to move himself in bed or support his own weight standing at all. It has been suggested to my mum by the doctors and MS specialists he may need to move permanently to a residential care home instead of coming back home as mum and dad were struggling to cope even with carers coming twice a day and me dashing downstairs at all hours day and night to help when needed. Sad but maybe best for dad.. all his falls can't be good for him and he's done better than expected keeping mobile without a wheel chair much longer than anyone thought. hard to come to terms with though.
to change the subject my new bras arrived! both a great fit and keeping both sets! the blue is quite minimizing and handy for a seamless look under tops. The pink on the other hand is something else! I feel like a saucy buxom wench from some kind of swashbuckling epic Grin
