Hello everyone Smile

Excuse my spelling if it's bad tonight but I'm shaking a bit. Went in the meter / junk cupboard to read the gas meter and try and work out how many limbs I'm gonna have to sell to pay the bill (a few Shock) when the electric started going off then on again. I hit the ancient fuse box (still uses fuse wire ffs Shock) thought that had sorted it but started flickering again. Was panicking at the thought of spending tonight sans electricity but on excavating the huge pile of carrier bags stuffed in there it turned out to be something connected to the meter which had come a bit loose. Pushed it back in and we are back in 21st century [phew].

We have been working hard all day doing proper tidying and the house looked half decent for once; now there are about a million carrier bags all over the kitchen floor Think I need a drink any excuse Grin

Yay for your bump star, am not surprised after all that tea though Wink

TwilightSurfer · 09/01/2011 20:44

lol! star that's funny.

captain, r is fighting a nap right now. i'm not making her take one but she's slowly drifting off and grumbling when she realizes she's drifting. it's making me laugh.

TwilightSurfer · 09/01/2011 21:28

I AM BORED!!!! I really should be doing "something" but not sure what. It's 4:25PM and I am STILL in my PJs. R is now napping. I've moved from the bed to the floor to type. I'm having a hard time with this "do nothing...rest...relax" thing. It almost feels like torture.

OH WAIT! I have a FB post....

TwilightSurfer · 09/01/2011 21:30

that was nothing. Hmm Oh well... Twiddling my thumbs. La la la la la la la la. Dobbie Do Ba Wah.

PMSL TS By 'nicked' I meant stolen!Grin If you're bored see if you can find some old episodes of "The Bill" (longrunning, now extinct English uniformed polis soap) on youtube.

Grooooooooooooooooan why does online grocery shopping take so long and make you want to top yourself?

TwilightSurfer · 09/01/2011 22:24

Bibi, stop!

Silks...oooohhhh! lol!

Boredom led me to clean the bathroom. Now the whole house smells like an indoor pool. LOL!Blush

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 09/01/2011 23:58

Star congratulations how wonderful
Ts your stroller fun reminds me of how many I have had and still have, love it.
Fgorjn the house Iv just moved into had fuse wire! I had a shock when dd blew the lights in kitchen, searched everywhere for trip switch and got quite confused! Which reminds me I must buy a torch for when it happens again!
Hoping to get a new circuit board put in soon.
Cc sounds like a stressful busy time coming up then?
Queen glad dd is laid back for you, hope it continues.
Day three with the new puppies going really well! Kids adore them! Havnt needed to use a crate, two little baskets in the kitchen, but they both curl up together and sleep all night! Maybe dd and ds should take note!
Off to check who else I missed.

TwilightSurfer · 10/01/2011 00:13

NO SCHOOL TOMORROW!!!!!!!!

That said I am now quickly cleaning house, doing laundry, putting dishes away and cooking chicken for soup & tacos and baking a cake. I want everything to be low key tomorrow so I can play outside too.Grin JOY!!

TwilightSurfer · 10/01/2011 00:14

No1 we have acquired a lot of strollers between us, haven't we!Wink FUN!

TwilightSurfer · 10/01/2011 00:16

Okay I've talked myself out of baking the cake because I turned and saw the cakey snacks I bought at the store. I ate one too.Hmm Guess now I'll just be minding the cooking chicken for the next few hours then bed. Grin

TwilightSurfer · 10/01/2011 05:08

It's midnight and the snow has finally reached us. I suppose I'll wake to a winter wonderland. Good night and good morning friends. Smile

ILovedYou · 10/01/2011 05:16

I'm awake...

Merlion · 10/01/2011 05:25

Bibi Sad

TS new stroller looks good. I'm trying to avoid buying another one.

No1 lovely to see you do stay around a while.

Pert how did it go on Friday?

Queenie lovely news and I hope that dd's lovely nature continues (I'm secretly hoping that this one is going to be much easier than DS too!).

Good luck to Mr Star with all his interviews. Are you going to find out what you are having? I can't remember whether you did with J or not?

CC good luck with the dissertation writing.

luckoftheirish · 10/01/2011 09:40

CaptainCaveman · 10/01/2011 10:21

Well I've done an hour so I deserve a break from writing right? Grin

FjorgynAndHotWater · 10/01/2011 10:59

Morning all Smile

Traipsed to school in the rain this morning but DD was so clingy and started crying when I tried to leave Sad so I have brought her home again. Hope I haven't been silly as she was chatting all the way home, but think she's wiped out with a cold and the clinginess was just a symptom. Anyway she is curled up on the sofa under her duvet watching mighty shites mites; hopefully a restful day watching cbeebies will perk her up and she'll be back tomorrow.

Sorry to hear you are feeling rough again loti Sad I am actually feeling almost normal again after 8 days straight of feeling pretty rough so hope yours doesn't last as long as that...

Cece you need many breaks to mn keep your brain focused Grin

TS enjoy the snow!

Bibi you are still young, please don't let DH have the snip now Sad

luckoftheirish · 10/01/2011 12:14

Swimming completed phew! Hoping that has exhausted dd2 for a while!

Sorry to hear dd is poorly fjor dd1 as usual complaining of a sore throat but was dispatched to school!

Keep at it cece

TwilightSurfer · 10/01/2011 12:15

Fjorgy, mummy knows best.Wink

Anybody notice how long I got to sleep?Envy If I'd not stayed up so late.

SNOW!

TwilightSurfer · 10/01/2011 12:16

Captain, back to work!

Lucky, will you take mine swimming now. They are up and want to go outside.Hmm It's 7AM...I think not.

CaptainCaveman · 10/01/2011 12:25

ts have duly been back at it and have now stopped for lunch. When it snowed here, O used to cry every time I tried to bring him indoors after we'd played out in it Grin

fjorgyn mummy knows best Wink. I think the nurse in me is too unsympatheic. I make them get on with stuff and then later get a call from school/nursery saying they are unwell Hmm

bb if it's good enough for VB then it's good enough for you!

loti get well soon (hugs)

Dh is on the pc upstairs job hunting. He keeps calling me up intermittently to ask me to proof read things. lovely as it is, its also more than a little distracting Hmm Grin

aStarWithHerOwnWays · 10/01/2011 13:44

cece you're already doing better than I ever did in terms of dedication to the writing cause Blush More power to you.

Merlion we are going to find out again this time - I decided last time so left it up to DH with this one, and of course he said he wants to know Grin I would have been happy either way but am naturally nosy. Besides, as DH said, it makes economic sense to find out whether we need to buy a load of new clothes or not [cheapskate emoticon].

Bibi I know we only get to see your raw emotional response on here, because this is a safe place for it, and not the involved discussions between you and DH that I imagine have taken place...but it just doesn't feel right making things so final at this point. You are both young. Surely some form of long term contraception would do just as well, in case anything changes in the future? Apologies if this offends, I know it's none of my business really.

luckoftheirish · 10/01/2011 14:29

Bibi do completely echo star's thoughts... She is just braver than me to say it!! Thinking of u.

Well I have just managed to faint Hmm dd2 thought it was so funny. Have eaten well today so nit sure what is all about Hmm have had to eat a chocolate biscuit to help ( don't tell hot mamas)!!

CaptainCaveman · 10/01/2011 16:03

loti hope you are feeling a little better now after your earlier faint? Shock. Not pg are you Wink?

I'm still at it but getting neckache now Hmm. Such a mountain to climb!!....

SilkStalkings · 10/01/2011 16:29

BibiSad I'm sure you've been through all these questions with each other but having come through the other side of the snip, I would say don't forget these. Do you reeeeally want another baby now or are you just playing Russian Roulette? Are you craving the magic and attention of pregnancy/baby as a distraction from other things/unknown future? Are you ready to move on with the rest of your life with your gang? Thinking about C's absence due to ill health, are you prepared to put your commitment to the business to the test with all the lows and woes of pregnancy and maternity leave? Would DH be willing to hold off for a few years if you promised to hold off for a few years too?

Come ON Mr Tesco, I'm hungry!
