Silk you are the soul of practicality and those are all excellent considerations (I am the swept-away sort so not much use in these situations).

DS has been complaining of 'sore tum' all day and asking for medicine. He has also gifted me with six dirty nappies, and then fell asleep on my lap about an hour ago [bless]. I guess I should wake him up soon but he looks so cute and it is so peaceful. Having a sore tum is hard work, after all.

No silks but dh is insisting I go to the docs tom and demand one!!

Have not caught up properly but i had a lovely, lovely weekend. Well until i realised DH had wiped all of my contacts on my iphone . I had literally just got them all sorted and 'poof'. The synching with my computer hadn't worked so am back to the information from my old phone

We started trying to adjust DD2's wake up time this morning as she has moved back to 5.30ish and we had a nightmare with them both at Dsis's house. Cue an hour of returning her to bed this morning until 'Hippo' woke up . DH and I hid under the duvet after 7am and didn't get up until 8.20

Oh and Dad seems to be responding to the 957th set of ab's. He even came over to Dsis's on Sunday for my birthday lunch and seemed much perkier, so fingers x'd this continues and he can shift the dreadful cough which makes him sick. Thanks for all your positive thoughts .

Star we're finding out for similar reasons. DH went out for a lovely meal on Saturday night at what is now becoming our favourite restaurant in Singapore and think we have pretty much decided on names.

BBBB hopefully it's just the holiday and excitement that have caused DD1's change in behaviour. DS has been a lot better since he's got back into his normal routine after Australia and Christmas.

It's dark here today was going to go out in the garden but think it may piss down with rain at any minute. Oh well, at least it's not freezing today and the central heating boiler can have a bit of a rest.

DD back at school today, she's much better after a day sent vegging on the sofa. And MIL is taking Thor for the afternoon on Thursday so if that goes well it hopefully won't be too long before we can persuade her to take them both overnight and me and DH can have a night out

merlion I found with ds2 that the time flew by, like I didnt' have time to 'do' pregnancy , whereas first time I was analysing every twinge and kick. Your 16 week scan seems like 5 mins ago, let alone having a 20 week scan next week!

fjorgyn the garden looks tempting as it needs tidying up and the corderline (sp?) is losing all its fronds due to the cold snap(s) we've had - allegedly the worst December for 120 years . But alas, I must study instead

Sometimes I think that DD and DS are Iggle Piggle and Upsy Daisy.

Sometimes I think that they are more like Maisy and Panda

But mostly I think that they are like Mog and Tibbles in Mog and the Granny "they both had exactly the same, and they both thought that the other's was nicer"

Has anyone seen the film Microcosmos? It won squillions of awards about ten years ago. ds2 loves it. It sounds bonkers but it's a documentary about insects, with no narration, just sensational photography and a music soundtrack. It is BRILLIANT.

DS is like the monkey in 'Monkey Puzzle'. Cuddly, chatty, but very insistent about the details

cece still waiting for my scan date, wish they'd get a move on! I want to know if I've made it all up or not.

Well, DS was very floppy and sorry for himself all last night and ended up in our bed. Then was full of beans today and lots of fun, until about 4 o'clock when he suddenly went floppy, yawny and sad, then puked apple chunks all over his bedroom floor, himself and my cardigan. It says a lot that twenty minutes later he was bouncing on the settee and yelling with happiness. He is now eating mashed potato in front of the telly - at least if he yaks that back up it should be fairly inoffensive.

DH had his second interview today and it seemed to go well (you can never tell, can you) despite him stressing out all morning about having water/wax blocking one ear. Bless him, he is such a good man.

Ursula I love Microcosmos too, very magical. I first saw it at a late night showing in Leeds, with a dear friend who has since sadly passed away. Lots of happy memories from that night :)

I've been to see the gynae consultant today and he's booking me in for sterilisation, should get a date through for about 4-6 weeks. bonus, I get to take a week off work too !!!

salta I'm not sure who the ds's are like . Ds2 is a bit like George pig...largely indecipherable, cries at the drop of a hat and says 'dinosaur, raaaaah', ds 1 is..I'm not sure. Very verbose and literate for his age, uber friendly - can strike up a conversation with anyone of any age (usually politely) but can be deaf as a post when being asked by me to do something...

Sorry to hear of work stresses and woes. Hugs to all who need them.

No1 nice to see you again. I used to be a coco nut.

We have had an amazing day with a drive along a stunning mountain pass to a tiny valley filled with peach or chards and wineries we had a picnic lunch under the trees and then headed for the beach. Where we spent the rest of the day pootling then had calamari fresh off the boat for our supper. Off to the southern most tip of Afrixa tomorrow if the beach is too windy.

Salta - Dd1 is pepper pig!! No doubts at all, she is a chatter box who knows everything about everything.

Today she was back to her normal self thank fully!
