Star good news on jobs and hope DS is ok now. I agree with Crispy if he's ok over the day then go have a nice evening together - you need it too.

Crispy that's horrible I hope that you are able to cheer him up and that he is able to get some good advice - what a rubbish position to be put in.

Thanks Merlion Smile

DH's boss appears to have done a U-turn and reverted to the existing structure Hmm. He is such a weasel and always looking after No1 that this is extremely suspicious Confused. Will stay on high alert like the airports.....

Crispy Make him a list of reasons why you and the girls love him tooSmile.

Star You know me, I wouldn't hesitate to go out!Grin I would expect him to sleep like a light.

Didn't get to test the doggy style desnotting theory last nightSad. However it is Friday night, DH got lots of real ale for Xmas from my folks (excuse for much gallivanting about Hampshire breweries on their partGrin) and I have just texted him to book in some attention (somehow totally missed each other last night, despite both being inConfused).

Ah, my ILs were fab last night. they picked up the pukey kids and me and rrove us round for an hour to get us gently out of the house.

star this would be appalling timing, DH's threat of redundancy (no luck with the interviews) has got us all a bit worried.

He is pretty low (and I am feeling very unsettled with it all), but apparently he kicked a bit of gentle knowing the intricate ins and outs of some obscure beaurocratic regulations arse yesterday and so was feeling a bit better.

So many job woes :( but salta you do have a marvellous turn of phrase Grin

Silky I am channelling you and we are going out :) Friend is happy to check on DS and frankly he's been nought but his usual hyper-energetic self all day, so I'm hoping that concussion has been deflected by the massive thick skull he inherited from me Blush My friend's son is being a total pain at bedtime atm anyway so I think she's glad of the chance of some peace and quiet!

Star yay for your DH Grin Don't worry about DS and any scar, they fade so quickly and don't grow as the child does so soon shrink too. DD had a similar incident with the corner of a wooden stool and was glued at hospital; you can't even see it now. DS once landed nose-first on a 3-pin plug, there was blood everywhere, and you can only still see his scar when his nose is cold. Hope you have a great night out tonight Smile

Crispy your poor DH Sad he is such a lovely man, it's a bugger when there is a shit atmosphere at work. Hope your birthday celebrations help to put some sparkle back into him Smile

Silky you must live in a massive house to miss your DH all evening Shock Hope the real ale does the trick tonight [saucy]Grin

salta yay for nice ILs, hope you are all feeling a bit better now. Sorry to hear DH is threatened with redundancy and not v good at interviews (hope that's what you meant, Blush if not) I am rubbish at interviews and will be reet scuppered if it comes to that at my work...

Am feeling much better at last, apart from swollen sore throat which I am hoping isn't going to turn into tonsillitis. Ibuprofen seems to be good at reducing the swelling for a while so will have one more dose in a minute then try and kill the germs with white wine chilli and garlic once the DC are in bed Grin

Ooh and I drove home in sleet/snow this afternoon and whilst I didn't particularly enjoy it at least that's one more adverse weather condition to cross off the list [proud]

Hey gang, what a crazy week Confused. Great news as you know for dh, but then my boss has been s uspended Shock. No idea why, but we're all left feeling v vulnerable at a really tricky time in the organisation Hmm

star poor little ds. When ds1 was 3 he bounced off the settee and headfirst into the edge of the door. Ouch. Big deep gash which actually didn't bleed too much but oozed serous fluid. He was glued and steristripped and they put a big plaster on for extra effect. Now just a tiny feint scar. hoping J's will be just the same. Scary though isn't it!!? Enjoy your night out. Hope you and dh are back in your groove v soon Smile

lol at doggy style and sinus relief Grin

Hello, no1 lovely to see you, I am easy to guess as I ... erm ... used to be an elderly flower...? And live on the other side of the water but not THAT far... Confused

Sorry to hear about job shite for multiple dh's, all v unsettling. How blessed they are in their wives might I say (first glass of wine only). Tosser bosses are such a pain in the arse and so energy-draining to deal with.

We are coughy and coldy here too, well me and ds2 are, I have a swollen throat HmmConfused and deadhead and ds2 has the seal cough.

Back to school on Monday Shock.

Parental advice number 23432 Do not put up glow in the dark stars as you are putting your child to bed as they will run marathons up and down their bed and jump around till the stars have practically run out of glow.

Off to review FB for announcements Smile

cece how strange Confused glad to see you are dissertationing again though Smile

crispy yay for champers Grin Give your DH a big hug from us too and we hope to be able to do it in person before too long once I am thinner again

TS louder, we can't hear you over here Grin Chin up chuck, this too shall pass.

DS must have heard all the head bumping chat, he managed to headbutt me at bedtime, getting my eyebrow and my nose, then my head ricocheted off his head into the wall Shock nothing broken, and I only saw one star, but think I may have a black eye in the morning...

Dinner time, back later xxx

Crispy hope you have a lovely birthday despite the worry - you deserve it for being such a fabulous wife/mother/friend but more importantly, for being such a great example of a woman who Gets Things Done xx

Ursula and no1 hello beautiful ladies, always happy to see you here. no1 I have a large tattoo, if that helps you identity me at all Grin Hope you are both feeling better soon.

Fjorgs get a steak on that shiner pronto (then you can have it for tea later).
