Still pg, but at least cervix is opening and thinning now so it's progress right? Been in for monitoring, was there for about 6 hours as all the doctors were in surgery so noone could get moved on. waited bloody hours to be allowed to come home!

Going in for scan tomorrow to check the blood flow through the cord etc, then more ctg monitoring.

Bibi I have a fear of worms after a horrible boy in my class threw a handful into my then long hair - yuk! Hope C is feeling better soon. Next scan is 18 Jan.

Salta hope you are feeling better and the DCs start sleeping. What happened with work? We made a big attempt with the potty training before Christmas but whereas he was fine at going on the potty when we put him on he didn't seem to get the idea that he had to ask or go himself.

merlion potty training stopped as quickly as it started as i am feeling rubbish and dd2 has no idea at all will wait til nxt week..

so far this am dd2 has spilt her yogurt drink, my tea and her cup all over the carpet.. so tempted to see if the cm can have her today so i can wallow in my bed and shake off the lurgy but really don't want to use her anymore... dh too busy to help today but did offer to take girls to school/cm and do pick up.. decisions decisions....

silky sinus pain is grim, have you tried steaming your face with a bowl of hot water and a towel? One of mine is blocked and I have a stabbing pain in one eyebrow. Also made myself sick from coughing last night. Just shoot me now . Well done on the stopping smoking though, that is brilliant news

Loti if you don't use cm you could always just stick some dvds on and snooze on the sofa. Hope this lurgy is short-lived.

Silks there are not many people to whom I would pass on this advice but I think you are one of The Few. My Dr friend swears that the very best remedy for sinus pain is to... how shall I put this? To spend time with your DH shall we say in a canine manner? I make no claims for this cure myself and can see how it might be the very last thing you feel like but I couldn't resist passing it on

fjorg DH has heard nothing from the job, despite chasing etc. Could be they haven't made a decision yet, could be he hasn't got it, could be the agency are just being shite. Meanwhile he has other interviews lining up and doesn't know whether to come clean with work or not.

He's not being horrible or anything, just that when he's got a lot on his mind he kind of goes into robot mode and is very shut off. I am busy trying to get my head straight after doing a lot of thinking over new year about all my fucked up mental issues, so between us we're a bit preoccupied.

Going to try and get some babysitting for tomorrow night so I can take him out for dinner.

Thanks Pert will give it a try if DH in the mood. In the meantime, there are some ancient menthol crystals around somewhere.

Star Keep up the communication and remember he's not psychic and that doesn't mean he loves you less. Writing lists helps, my DH loves a good list: stressy things that must be done and how best to tackle them, things that cause stress that could be avoided/talked through, things that you are looking forward to this year.

And he doesn't need to come clean at work if he's using his own annual leave. He doesn't owe them anything, at the end of the day he is just a cog in the machine to them.

True, but it's such a small company that his boss will get suspicious. He's like that yet doesn't seem interested in exactly why so many of his employees want to leave...
