Have you all run off and started a new thread without me?...Hmm

Merlion - DD1's teacher spent 20 years in Sing a and so the kids have had an amazing CNY week. Red envelopes golden (chocolate) money in, chinese food and rain. DD has learnt to say Happy New Year and has confused all the little ladies in the market this afternoon by greeting them all with it when they said hello.

LOL Merlion, i just commented on your fb pic before coming on here Grin. We had a fleeting moment of sun, but are back to cold, damp, grey and miserable now Hmm

silks well worth trying the St Johns wort and anything else you think may help, but i agree with Merlion, don't discount the tablets as they may be great for you. I have seen numerous threads on here where people said the contrac eptive pill i used to take made them paranoid/anxious/overweight and a stranger to themselves (with many agreeing), whereas for me they were just fine (as for many others as well). {{{{hugs}}}} to help along the way

Loti, yes, soup. Oddly the watch itself is actually still working Shock, but the strap got ruined and snapped instead.

Grin. Hope your shins ease off soon cece - i'm afraid rest is the only way to go. I ran 8k this morning outdoors and am very creaky now.

Loti soup, soup, soup?

TS thanks - he fell asleep in the car wearing it on the way home!

Silks even if you did go to the GP at least you could request not to have the same drugs/treatment as you know how it affected your DH. Maybe still worth considering?

Blush Crispy it has been a lovely hot and sunny day today but apparently that is not good fortune for CNY (I really don't understand the myriad of traditions yet). Rain is apparently fortuitous Hmm.

Good to keep talking silks, well done girl Smile

lol TS i really don't think you would want to see my munchkin face Grin.. i was trying to eat my weetabix a while ago and really struggled to get the damn spoon in my mouth and it took me an hour last night to eat a tuna sandwich lol

Loti Hope your face goes down soon, keep a damp flannel handy to cool it down.

CC Good luck with the leg today.

Had a good talk with DH last night about depression, now that I am starting to understand how he felt before anti-depressants. Have decided I'm not going to see the GP because they will just say get some exercise or have some ADs. And after nursing DH through some horrendous initial side effects for escitalapram I just don't want to take the risk of lightning striking twice (with an extra child to look after now too). So St John's wort it is. We also decided all we need is to inherit half a house to change our lives and solve all our problems so trying not to have too many dark and murderous thoughts about his perfectly nice grandparentsGrin.

Crispy rabbit mask for you on fb! I have 2 spare as well when DS isn't insisting DH and I wear them!

I'd swap with you for a bit but not sure you'd welcome all the rain!

Loti congrats! Hope the tooth isn't hurting too much today.

My bridesmaid friend who I found out was pg on fb also had a little girl yesterday (I did get a text at least!). Funny thing is though that the name she has chosen is the same as my other bridesmaid's dd2 (she also lives overseas so we are all not as close as we once were) but still seems a bit weird to me.

BBBB Lol at DD1!

TS hugs to you.

CC DH had shin splints when he started running again and they were pretty bad - not nice.

Report
TwilightSurfer · 03/02/2011 01:07

Captain we do have the best month, don't we!

Nope...never had shin splints but I've heard they hurt like a B#@%$!

Loaded up the kids and drove them into town where we met up with DH then split the load. He took DD1 for hot wings and I took DD2 for smoothies. Not the best dinner but it worked.

Met with the painter today. Can't wait to see his bid. Grin

Night

bbbb lol at dd's description of dh's 2 willies Grin

crispy I misread your earlier post as "I should be leaping out of bed in anticipation of an invigorating circus class" Grin

bb I went for my consultation for sterilisation without dh and at no point did anyone ask me if dh was in agreement to it Hmm.

Anyone ever had shin splints? My left leg hurts, and proper hurts. I think after tonights hockey training, tomorrow will be more painful Hmm. Oh well.

TS feb is a great month for a birthday Grin

Hideable is fine with me Crispy.

Lovely news on the baby, Loti. Smile

And Silks, sorry to hear that you're back in the system. You're already so good at making it work as well as it can for you and that's great for ds2.

What a lot to have on your plate though with everything else going on. Sad

Thanks for all your kind words re ds. I didn't get in until 7:45, but apparently he was in poor form all day. I think it tracks back to something at school so I'll watch and wait on that one and see what gives.

I have to plan another class now and leave here at 6:30 to go and teach it. It's going to be a long 12 weeks ... Confused

I am about to die of laughter or embarrassment not sure which yet! DD1's teacher just rang to recount a chat they had this morning, she didn't do it at collection time as it was a little sensitive. DD1 told her that DH had an op to remove 1 of his wil ly's as he had 2 and 2 will y's are bothersome!

DH never wants to drop her to nurser y again!
