Meep.

FjorgynAndHotWater · 01/02/2011 21:20

Evening everyone Smile

Better get back on this thread before it finishes Shock

Been to my new friend's house for a cuppa after school, the DC all played together very well and we had a good natter, but was very Shock to find out she goes on netmums Shock and she's hardly heard of mumsnet at all. I told her it was a nest of vipers great so maybe she'll give it a try Grin

bibi I'm sure I could think of a fab reason to win the cake but am trying to resist the temptation

cece di you eat fish & chips and pizza on the same day??? If so no wonder you are getting porky... Wink

Foot much better and I won the battle with the tree, at last. It is now two stumps about a foot high and a huge pile of branches. There should be firewood galore in a year or so, just hope the birds are not too cross with me for cutting it down

BibiBelle · 01/02/2011 21:27

Red? A cheeky meep with reason or without?

hots - well done on the tree felling - am tempted to sing a song about a lumberjack!

BBBB - how is DH doing? Mr Belle booked in for his in a few weeks time.

Bibi - he is actually fine - says it's a bit like a cricket ball in the nads but not too drastic with something called Nuromol (new neurofen/paracetamol combo) He is on total bed rest for 24 hours then light duties with no lifting for 7 days.

Red - meep??

Yay for lumberjackFjyorny

CrispyTheCrisp · 01/02/2011 21:31

Yay, hello to Fjorn, cece and Red. Nice to see you gals Smile

Hope all ok Red?????

Am loving N oreen. I think you should employ her Bibi Grin

Sad re MrB's op though. You sure you are ok with it? I know he doesn't want any more anguish for any of you, but i hope you are ok with it too?

blueberryboybaitonSafari · 01/02/2011 21:31

Stuff chocolate - I WANT A FAIRY CASTLE CAKE!

CrispyTheCrisp · 01/02/2011 21:32

BBBB Have you decided what constitutes 'light duties?' Grin

blueberryboybaitonSafari · 01/02/2011 21:33

Bibi - Please be sure it is what you want too - I have to confess being very very happy about ours but our situation is different to yours. They will question you both on your certainty about it, any hesitation and they laser gets put away until you are both sure!

blueberryboybaitonSafari · 01/02/2011 21:35

If he reminds me once more that he needs 'sorting' twice a week he will get more than light duties!

BibiBelle · 01/02/2011 21:37

Christ almighty, he'll get the afternoon off work then right back to it Shock

Crisp - is she the diabetic dog lady? That amused me too!

and thank you for asking. I'm not alright with it but has to be done. Money/dodgy hip and inability to be pregnant without some massive drama all outweight being broody

OP posts:
CrispyTheCrisp · 01/02/2011 21:40

bbbb they never asked me lol! Oh and DH was told to sort himself out and come back to me once he had the all clear letter from the doc in his hand

Ok, so you are resigned to it. That is still very Sad. I hope it fades with time {{hugs}}

CrispyTheCrisp · 01/02/2011 21:44

That cake is feckin hilarious. 60lbs of icing sugar Shock

blueberryboybaitonSafari · 01/02/2011 21:45

Ahhh - Crispy you and I come from the same school of wifeing!!

Bibi - I join Crisps in the Sad

BibiBelle · 01/02/2011 21:48

BBBB - they've not asked me at all but our GP is all for it so probably snatched his hand off when he turned up for the initial appt. No counselling up here for it.

Crisp - just getting to meet Noreen now as we're playing catch up on Sky+!!

OP posts:
CrispyTheCrisp · 01/02/2011 21:50

She would certainly attract a different clientele to your business, although I suspect DD2 would have a fit if you made a cake like that! Grin

blueberryboybaitonSafari · 01/02/2011 21:51

Bibi - no counselling here but the doc stuck her head around the door this afternoon and said 'you okay with this?' I couldn't say yes fast enough - she explained to DH they have taken to asking if wives are present as they had a wife barge in half way through one op demanding to know what they were doing! I said I was there to ensure he got it done!

BibiBelle · 01/02/2011 21:57

I'm sitting wondering what the mothers are doing whilst the daughters do all the housework?? And how soon can I drop the DD's out of school!??

those cakes will cost a fucking fortune btw!

Merlion · 02/02/2011 05:53

HippyHippopotamus · 02/02/2011 07:52

hi bibi, bye bibi

RedLentil · 02/02/2011 07:58

How exciting Loti! Lots of positive vibes for all of you.

This morning has been a barrel of laughs already. To distract me from the fact that he has just pulled stickers off his Rubiks Cube, Fintan announced that he did it because 'I just feel like you give the girls more attention than me these days, that's all.' Memo to self: do not leave that Oliver James book lying around again.

The child is lavished with attention any time he can be bothered to be in the room with me. Hmm Wordhoard is an equal opportunities parenting-depriver. Best try to set him straight.

I was very sensible about it all and wept and railed against injustice. Blush Seems to be ok again now though. I'm guessing my departure to Cork with the girls for the day has got to him. Sad

blueberryboybaitonSafari · 02/02/2011 08:00

OOh GandmaLOTI - that is very exciting :)

Morning Bibi, If you send me Merlion's I promise I will look after them until she next visits Grin

Hippy - Morning, wotcha knitting?

DH still in bed thankfully! He couldn't sleep last night so kept me awake too - DDs were great though DD2 only woke at 3 for a feed then DD1 woke her at 7.15. DD1 has started talking in her sleep and it is very funny and a bit Hmm
