Bad WFH habits

Coffee4Queen · 08/10/2020 20:50

The past few months I have been napping during my lunch break. Every day for about 45 minutes. Once when I first started napping I overslept so now I set an alarm Blush

Twice a week I get an almond croissant from the coffee shop for breakfast.

I’ve gone from washing my hair 4 times a week to every 10 days.

What bad habits have you picked up?

Not leaving the house for four days

Not washing my hair enough

Tiredforfive45 · 08/10/2020 20:56

Washing your hair less might do it some good. Certainly styling it less will!

I think napping and croissants sound like great habits! Grin

Frazzled13 · 08/10/2020 20:57

I nap as well! I’m dreading going back into the office because DD doesn’t sleep well and I really need these lunchtime naps. I only went back from maternity leave two weeks before lockdown so I really didn’t have time to get back into the office routine etc.

CeliaCanth · 08/10/2020 20:59

Tea and a large slice of cake at 10.30 am (or as close to that time as possible) every day without fail...!

Ugzbugz · 08/10/2020 20:59

Washing hair once a week if that, but has made my hair much better! NAPS!! Day time TV, more tea....

hopeishere · 08/10/2020 21:00

Endless snacking.

And online shopping during very boring meetings.

Biancadelrioisback · 08/10/2020 21:00

I'm getting up at the last possible minute before work.
Washing hair once a week
What's a bra?
Playing on my phone during boring meetings

VerbenaGirl · 08/10/2020 21:00

I’ve got lazy with hair washing, and actually hair brushing as well.
Plus developed a lunch time bath habit!

Biancadelrioisback · 08/10/2020 21:01

Oh, and watching TV while I work and napping on breaks too

Whatdowehaveherethen · 08/10/2020 21:01

When info back to working from the office, I'm seriously considering asking my manager of they will consider installing sleep pods.

The 2 20 minute breaks I get, I spend sleeping.

I use my lunch break to pick up the kids from school and get them fed and waters before I get back to work at half 3. Bitter. No, not me 😁

BobbinThreadbare123 · 08/10/2020 21:01

Barely moving and working as much as other people do instead of as much as I can do. Reading too much Mumsnet at lunchtime.

twilightcafe · 08/10/2020 21:01

Napping sounds like a GREAT idea!

LadyCatStark · 08/10/2020 21:02

Eating chocolate every lunch time.

Whatdowehaveherethen · 08/10/2020 21:02

@hopeishere I spend meetings where I'm not due to be involved doing the washing up😂

JeanClaudeVanDammit · 08/10/2020 21:03

Snacking. So much snacking.

JeanClaudeVanDammit · 08/10/2020 21:04

A steady stream of online shopping deliveries.

Figgygal · 08/10/2020 21:04

Biscuits
Not leaving the house for days
Recently watching tv Confused

GetRid · 08/10/2020 21:05

March: video on, makeup, nice shirt
June: video on, no make-up, t-shirt
Aug: video off, skanky clothes
Oct: video off, sitting in bed in pjs all morning

MythicalBiologicalFennel · 08/10/2020 21:08

Sex with DH at lunchtime. We have more time for it and are both less tired than at night time. It's great - so much so that a few weeks ago we got so carried away I was late for a meeting Blush

That and snacking too much Grin

ForTheLoveOfCatFood · 08/10/2020 21:08

Snacks and more snacks Blush

And being amazed how long I can leave it between hair washes, i can count on one hand how many time’s I’ve properly dried (not washed Wink)) my hair since lockdown

dudsville · 08/10/2020 21:08

I love this!

I've gone from twice weekly hair washes to once weekly. But also I've stopped stylng it and it actually looks great often.

I wish I could nap, earlier in the pandemic I could but bir I'm too busy.

I have really wonderful homemade food all the time (always hated breakfasts and lunches on the run).

I too sleep in now.

I've bought a few "under tops" that I wear instead of a bra.

I've stopped wearing most makeup.

My comfort levels having risen thusly has also led to my "pandemic stone". I had gained two extra stone but managed to lose one.

Brilliant.
Backofthenewt · 08/10/2020 21:09

Not having a shower until after lunch.

Muting dull meetings to watch Breaking Bad while people are doing presentations.

ForTheLoveOfCatFood · 08/10/2020 21:09

Also smart top for video calls whilst wearing pjs on the bottom half Grin
The snacks have played a big part in needing to wear pjs/joggers

Frazzled13 · 08/10/2020 21:10

I do this all the time! It’s got to the point I feel annoyed doing the washing up in my own time..
