Hi ladies!

Our previous thread is now full so I’ve made a new one 😘

@Kiki061190 I tested three times and then I put it down, but had a blazing positive from the start. I found it stressful to keep testing after that. And definitely do the line ones, not digital! Hope you see a nice progression!!

So, I can tell that this thread is becoming a lot of pregnancy talk now, which is absolutely wonderful!! But I am conscious of the fact that there are people at different stages of this process and it can be very triggering to read about. For that reason, I finally did open a new thread for all of us - pregnant or not - where we can share scan photos and more details of the pregnancies. Please do join if you have a bfp or if you don't find the chatter to be triggering, otherwise this thread remains a safe place for everyone still going through the pain of mmc or ttc. I'll definitely still check both, but I want to be as sensitive to everyone as possible. Hope to see you all on there soon! Xxx

Thanks for setting that up @sadtoday21 ♥️

Fingers crossed for lots more BFPs on this page! It’s been a lucky page as of late

Thanks @sadtoday it makes sense. Xx

bananamonkey · 11/08/2019 07:28

So lovely to read about your scan @sadtoday21

Everything crossed for you @BabyPending

sadtoday21 · 11/08/2019 09:41

Thanks @bananamonkey, still a long way to go but trying to take one day at a time. How are you doing?

Hope you are ok @MrsMGE, thinking of you xxx.

MrsMGE · 11/08/2019 11:09

Thanks @sadtoday21. I'm actually in bed today, feeling very run down after all this and I think I've got cystitis so sending DH to the shop shortly to get me some cystitis relief and cranberry juice. I read somewhere it's a placebo, but I guess as long as I drink a lot of soft non-fizzy drinks, it will do me good.

I think I'm actually having honeymoon cystitis in my 30s after 6 yrs of marriage... seriously?! 😱🤦🏼‍♀️

bananamonkey · 11/08/2019 11:21

Thanks for asking @sadtoday21, I’m ok. had my first bloods last week (progesterone and LUP2 whatever that is!) just got to wait for new cycle to have the more extensive ones. 10 dpo today and the faintest of bfp lines so just waiting on another chemical this week again I guess. I know I shouldn’t keep testing early but it’s hard not to!

sadtoday21 · 11/08/2019 11:39

Oh wow @bananamonkey I really hope that this is the one that sticks! I have a good feeling about it. Are you going to keep testing or just wait and see what happens?

@MrsMGE sorry you aren't feeling well on top of everything else - that is the worst! Hope the cranberry juice helps xxx.

Kiki061190 · 11/08/2019 12:31

@MrsMGE cystitis is the worst! I hope you’re getting lots of rest today. I think our bodies just know when they are run down and they have ways of telling us! OH family seem a bit annoyed I won’t go out with them today but we’re going for dinner tonight and I’m already feeling so so tired!

@bananamonkey I really hope this is it for you ♥️♥️♥️♥️

OP posts:
Catconfusion · 11/08/2019 15:28

Oh no I’m sorry @MrsMGE cystitis is the worst. It can make you feel awful. I hope it passes quickly. Xx

That’s great news @bananamonkey all you can do is keep an open mind and take each day as it comes. I really hope this is it for you! Xx

MrsMGE · 11/08/2019 15:31

Thanks girls. I've conceded this month, it ain't going to happen, especially now! Off to see my GP tomorrow as I've now had blood in my urine. I got some over the counter stuff and I'm drinking lots and lots of cranberry juice, feeling better atm, but not going to risk a full on UTI. Hopefully the doctor will give me something to clear this quickly xx

How is everyone feeling today? Xx

Kiki061190 · 12/08/2019 08:40

@MrsMGE hope you’re ok! Did you get something from the GP?

I’m doing ok just trying to keep busy just now and keep my mind elsewhere!

Happy Monday ladies!! How are we?

Good morning, how are you feeling today @MrsMGE? Cystitis really sucks.

I’m feeling like time is going so slowly, tested again today and got a faint line and so worried it means another chemical even though only 11 dpo, I ran out of internet cheapies so only have Poundland pink ones. My temperature is the highest it’s been since I started temping but just waiting for it to drop tomorrow or Wednesday, urgh I hate this!

MrsMGE · 12/08/2019 09:44

Hey girls! @Kiki061190 @bananamonkey

So I've been to the docs this morning, she asked when my last AF was and gave me some pregnancy-safe antibiotics, just in case, as I have no idea how long this cycle will be and when I ovulated. I am feeling a bit better today.

@bananamonkey I see where you're coming from, and I'd probably be the same, wouldn't want to get my hopes up just in case. But you never know, you really never know. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you xxx

MrsMGE · 12/08/2019 09:46

Also, a new lesson learnt, urinary tract infections may increase the risk of miscarriage, so if, touch wood, any of you experience them, go straight to your GP, there are safe ways of treating them in pregnancy xxx

SunStruck · 12/08/2019 09:54

Hi ladies, sorry for the absence - On holiday but also completely missed there's a new thread 😄 So happy to hear about more BFP:s on here - Such a lucky thread!

I finally got my solid smiley on Saturday morning, so hopefully ovulated the day after. We dtd'd on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday so hopefully covered. Didn't have any time this morning as we had to wake up early to travel to a different place, and O should already have happened now right? Even if it happened today. Let's hope the preseed I used kept the little swimmers alive 🤣

Currently in tww. Haven't been here for a long long time! This baby making business takes time!

Not overly fussed if it doesn't work this time as I'm on holiday and drinking, living like normal and relaxing. Next month will be more healthy for me!

Catconfusion · 12/08/2019 09:54

Thanks for the heads up @MrsMGE I hope you’re feeling better. You never know, you might have caught. I’m not sure stress affects it. Xx

It’s definitely there @bananamonkey but can understand your caution. Those cheap tests often don’t have much dye in them so you might get a better result in a couple of days. I know the waiting must be excruciating. I really hope this is it for you! Xx

I’m with you on the keeping busy @Kiki061190 I’m just getting so excited about this. We were even talking nursery layouts last night. It worrys me that I’m not more anxious. Although I did pee on an Opk this morning. I’m not sure why. It was a blazing positive which I’ve heard happens when pregnant. Have a lovely day ladies and I hope all our dreams come true next year! Xx

Kiki061190 · 12/08/2019 11:23

@Catconfusion aww that’s so exciting! I think your mentality has been fantastic. I’m glad our dates are super close.... we can keep each other going ♥️

@MrsMGE that’s great they can treat that in a safe way. You never know about this month. Do you know roughly when AF is due?

@SunStruck I think you’ve timed that perfectly!!! ♥️♥️♥️ Fingers crossed the wait isn’t too long

MrsMGE · 12/08/2019 12:02

Thanks girls. @Kiki061190 Assuming this cycle is normal (it's the first full cycle with AF after the MMC), the next AF should arrive towards the end of this week or early next week. I tend to fluctuate a bit, sometimes it's 28 days, but most of the time it's anything between 30 and 33. I don't have any PMS symptomps yet though, which is odd.

So ladies, fun fact: I read somewhere that laying down after dtd may increase your chances of conceiving, did just that and fell asleep. The next day I've got this! I'm one of those women who need to pee after dtd every time, otherwise it's a guaranteed UTI. Also I spoke to the Dr, it's absolute rubbish, laying down won't increase the chances, as the strong swimmers are already up there happy and waiting!

Catconfusion · 12/08/2019 12:25

Oh no @MrsMGE it’s such a horrible thing to get. I’ve always just waited about 30 minutes and then peed. I’m not sure putting your legs in the air etc works. I’ve just kept flat and still. I hope you’re better soon!

Arh thanks @Kiki061190 I honestly don’t know where this strength has come from. It’s lovely to be close in dates to you. How is your stomach now? Mine is still awful. I’m drinking rehydration drinks as I’m a bit worried. Not sure whether to see the doctor or not. I’m pretty sure last time I was told diarrhoea is common in early pregnancy and just to keep hydrated. I don’t like the crampy feeling though. I know an upset tummy doesn’t cause miscarriage but it’s just a bit unnerving. Xx

MrsMGE · 12/08/2019 12:38

@Catconfusion Thanks. You remember I had the same issue in my first pregnancy (diarrhoea/IBS flare up), the only thing that helped me and was safe was drinking more water and eating lots of Weetabix. I also walked a lot and it did settle after about 2-3 weeks. Xx

Kiki061190 · 12/08/2019 16:14

@Catconfusion my stomach is still delicate! Hoping it eases off for us both ♥️ Meeting a friend for dinner so hoping all is ok!

OP posts:
Kiki061190 · 12/08/2019 17:04

@MrsMGE I’m sure @Catconfusion also mentioned more fibre! I need to try this trick ladies and see if it works.

@Catconfusion how are you finding time is going? I’ve felt like time has went quick so far but don’t want to jinx it

OP posts:
MrsMGE · 12/08/2019 22:02

@Kiki061190 I hope it calms down for you soon, tummy issues in pregnancy are not fun.

I'm feeling exhausted now and really bloated too, possibly side effect of the infection or antibiotics maybe. I cannot remember last time I felt that tired, off yo bed now, early for me!

Good night ladies, hope everyone is feeling good xxx

Catconfusion · 13/08/2019 11:13

Hey @Kiki061190 how are you? The nausea is really kicking in now. The diarrhoea is still there too. I’m trying to get hold of my gp and see if there’s anything I can take. It’s worse in the morning when I get up. I’ve got tummy pain with it but it goes after I’ve been.

I’m actually finding time is going at a nice pace. I’ve not got any work on at the moment so I’m relaxing and enjoying some chilled out time. Xx

@SunStruck good to hear from you. Best of luck for the tww! Xx

How are you feeling @MrsMGE xx

I hope you’re ok @bananamonkey and getting some solid lines now. Xx
