Hey @StephyRose. Sorry to hear your sad news. There isn't much I can say to you today that would make you feel better immediately, this takes time. We have all been through it and survived, and so will you. Give yourself time to grieve and come to terms with it, be kind to yourself now. Sending you hugs xxx

SunStruck · 20/11/2019 01:49

@Kiki061190 oh so happy garden and driveway look nice! Properly nesting before the little one comes 🥰

I'm already lookin at Xmas presents haha, we are staying here this year (Middle East) so will be celebrating in the sun! We have a lovely place booked with all the proper food and trimmings so cannot wait! I love this time a year x

Catconfusion · 23/11/2019 09:44

Hey everyone, how are you doing @SunStruck and @MrsMGE? So sorry for the absence but I’ve been really busy catching up on adulting after being so ill.

I’m also very sorry to the thread newcomers for finding yourself here. It’s such a supportive thread and I truly wouldn’t be sane without the support I received here after my mmc and mc earlier in the year.

Just a little update from me. I had my 20 week scan yesterday and all went very well. We found out we’re having a little boy which is so exciting. Xx

aculturalmess · 23/11/2019 10:33

Hi everyone, I’ve had a natural miscarriage at 5weeks one week ago. Our first pregnancy. We are 💔... my bleeding stopped 2 days ago and I noticed my ovaries feel like they’re fluttering (almost like a burning sensation but with absolutely no pain)... I had the same feeling when I fell pregnant but never before... has anyone felt the same?

Catconfusion · 23/11/2019 11:48

Hi @aculturalmess I’m so sorry for your loss. I lost my first pregnancy too and it was devastating. Also I had a lot of burning and general pelvic pain after all. I even had a scan to check for cysts. The ovary is a really complex organ. During a pregnancy a luteal cyst develops to produce hormones. It may be the ovary dissolving the cyst and returning to its natural state. I would see how you feel over the next week and see your GP if it doesn’t go. I hope you have a speedy physical recovery. I know the mental recovery takes far longer but you’re in the right place for support. Xx

aculturalmess · 23/11/2019 12:28

Thank you so much @Catconfusion ❤️

MrsMGE · 23/11/2019 18:59

Congratulations @Catconfusion I thought you might be having a boy! ❤️

I'm same old, not TTC this month, very busy with work at the moment! Xxx

Catconfusion · 24/11/2019 08:35

Arh thanks @MrsMGE it is lovely to know. We really didn’t have any hunches. Interesting you had a feeling, a few friends have said boy.

Sometimes it’s just good to take time out and focus on other things. I can imagine it’s a lot of pressure ttc with work as well. I hope the break really helps for when you’re ready. Xx

MrsMGE · 24/11/2019 10:06

I'm glad you're feeling better as well @Catconfusion, I take it the second trimester is easier than the first one? How are you feeling mentally as well, are you now relaxed? It's all very real now, and you're already closer to the finish line. That's crazy.

Well, I don't know if my break is going to help, we'll see. I'm just kind of fed up, it seems to be a given everyone else is getting positive news, but me. Just not expecting anything good anymore. I'll focus on what I can control and what I'm good at, ie my job. Maybe I'm just meant to be a career woman, not a mother. Xxx

Catconfusion · 24/11/2019 10:38

Thanks @MrsMGS the sickness and food aversions stopped about a month ago. I still get passing nausea though and I’ve had a couple of near fainting episodes. One of which I vomited over myself. Midwife thinks it’s blood sugar issues even though I’m eating lots. She’s told me to eat even more. It’s amazing how much more the body needs. Mentally I’m feeling good thanks and lots of the anxiety has lifted. It’s now more anxiety around giving birth although the fear of something going wrong before never completely goes. My arthritis in the hips is playing up and I’m getting pelvic girdle pain so it’s looking like a c section. I’m ok with that but thinking a lot about what it will be like and how my recovery will be.

It’s just so hard when people around you seem to be falling quickly. It took me 5 months after the mmc which wasn’t too bad but it seemed to happen when I felt physically and mentally stronger. I think taking a step back is a really good move. It’s really hard not to compare other people’s situations with your own but your body will have its own time frame and there’s so much luck involved as well. Try not to think you’re not meant to be a Mum. I can talk because my mind went there too so I completely get why you’d start to think that. You’ll make a great Mum when the time comes and until then focusing on your job I’m sure is great for the mind. xx

SunStruck · 24/11/2019 10:39

Congrats @Catconfusion , a baby boy ❤️

My period arrived with a bang this morning so not caught this cycle! My thoughts are similar to yours @MrsMGE 🤷🏻‍♀️

Catconfusion · 24/11/2019 10:49

Thank you @SunStruck.

I’m so sorry to hear about AF. It just felt like a knife through the heart when it happened to me. The hormone drop doesn’t help either. Please don’t give up! I know that’s easy for me to say now but I’m so glad I kept trying and pushed those broken feelings away. It’s just so hard after loss and even when pregnant again it’s nerve wracking and scary. I really hope you feel like you’re moving forwards with it soon! Xx

MrsMGE · 24/11/2019 20:10

Hey @SunStruck, how are you feeling today? Let me know if you need a little pick-me-up, it's always hard when AF arrives. Xxx

SunStruck · 25/11/2019 05:25

Thanks ladies! 🥰 I'm alright but just slightly worried something is seriously wrong and I'm just bobbing along if you know what I mean. I don't know whether I should go to the Dr again for hormone shots to try to ovulate more eggs than one for the best chance (so similar to what the ladies doing IVF are doing without the insertion, and to track ovulation with scans to not miss we're having sex just then). I did this one cycle before if you remember.

I just can't be arsed going to the Dr and sitting in that chair tbh, it's stressing me out. And we have caught twice on second cycle this year, so part of me just want to wait to let it happen naturally. I'm not getting any younger though and if we want 2 I really need to get pregnant early next year. I know I sound like a broken record I'm sorry!!!

How are you guys anyway? It's great to have this place to vent. Baby dust for us both @MrsMGE 🥰

SunStruck · 25/11/2019 05:27

What would you guys do, honest feedback? If you had the choice to do these injections in my shoes would you do it? Private healthcare good here.

Catconfusion · 25/11/2019 06:52

@SunStruck I think it would depend on how long I’d been trying for, also how my cycles were. How long have been trying? What are your main concerns about your cycles? We were set for a fertility appointment in August and we’d been trying for 8 months with two losses. My periods were coming every 6-8 weeks and I had just turned 40. I would have tried injections or Clomid. Whatever they advised had I not caught when I did. It’s a difficult one though if it’s triggering for you. Xx

SunStruck · 25/11/2019 07:35

Thanks so much for your response @Catconfusion! As you've been in the same shoes.

We have been TTC since February and have had 2 losses. My cycles are 5-6 weeks long and I ovulate every time (confirmed my temping). My cycles are very messed up after my mmc in April/May though so we were out for 3 cycles of TTC (as had retained products and weren't allowed to TTC). So in reality we have caught on the second try each time.

I guess with Xmas coming up I would rather focus on that than to go to the Dr 3-4 times a week even during holidays (have to go to check regularly when having those shots to not overstimulate the ovaries).

But then I'm beating myself up as it's like I don't want to sacrifice to have this baby 😔 that I'm not doing everything in my power to try if you know what I mean.

I guess I'm scared about my egg quality or that something else is wrong but it will take time to find out. I'm really hoping I'll catch a sticky one on my 3rd try like you did!

Catconfusion · 25/11/2019 11:33

@SunStruck try not to worry about age and egg quality. I know that’s hard as I did but not many ladies find they’re not releasing healthy eggs at your age. It could be your body just needed longer to recover after the mmc. Your doctor can test for egg reserve if it hasn’t been looked at yet.

I think if I was you I’d take the next cycle off and relax over Christmas. You’ve been through so much and deserve some time out where you’re not having the doctors appointments or worrying about ttc. Don’t feel bad about that. You could still keep the regular dtd up. Maybe aim to do a bit more 3-4 weeks into your cycle just in case. Then come up with a plan for after Christmas. I think considering your cycles are irregular like mine are I’d move onto the drugs to help. I really hope it’s third time lucky for you. Xx

NewtothisFBK4921 · 28/11/2019 10:12

Hi everyone! Can I join? I had surgical miscarriage in September from a missed miscarriage. Now in my second cycle and hoping to get pregnant soon.

Congratulations to everyone who has!

I hope not tmi but did anyone else have bleeding between periods and very heavy discharge between cycles after getting back to normal? Just had a smear & all normal but I've got really heavy discharge, often clear like when you ovulate, but a lot a lot. Just wondering if anyone had the same! Or knows a thread that discusses this I couldn't find it.

Wishing everyone lots of luck with pregnancies x

SunStruck · 28/11/2019 13:27

@Catconfusion thanks for the reassurance as always :) I'm going to still dtd around o this cycle but not start anything with drugs until Jan/feb if I don't catch!

How are things with you, back to feeling completely normal? How's the bump coming along 🥰

Catconfusion · 28/11/2019 13:52

Hi @NewtothisFBK4921 I’m so sorry for your loss. No I didn’t have this as such though the cycle before I caught I spotted after when I thought I’d ovulated then got early AF so probably didn’t ovulate. It’s probably your body getting back to normal but see your GP if you’re worried. I’m now 20 weeks so proof that your body can feel messed up one cycle and then you catch the next. X

Hey @SunStruck that sounds like a great plan. Just enjoy Christmas as much as you can without the pressure.

I’m good thanks. Bump is getting huge. I just took a picture to compare with 12 weeks wearing the same clothes and it’s staggering how big it’s got. My physio says I have a shallow pelvis which accounts for why I’ve popped so early. xx

NewtothisFBK4921 · 28/11/2019 15:14

@Catconfusion thank you! Also massive congratulations, very happy for you. Hope the pregnancy is all going well, how exciting :) xxx

Kiki061190 · 29/11/2019 21:22

Oh @SunStruck it’s so hard! I can feel your dilemma with this one. Maybe focus on enjoying your Christmas as TTC can take it out of you. I’d head to the GP in February and consult them as you’ve been through a lot this past year. I’m sending you all my love and I really believe the next time will be your rainbow baby 💓
