Week 3 - Low Carb Bootcamp - the going starts to get tough now!

Morning all.

Despite my intentions, I still woke up early this morning. However, it was an hour or so later than usual, so that's an extra hour!

Anyway, here's the spreadsheet for you to record the results of last week

I hope the results are good!

Just remember that weeks 3 and 4 are notorious for little/no weight loss!

You have a choice to make now. You can either stick to Bootcamp, if it suits you, or you can move on to Bootcamp Light, which means you can re-introduce some fruit (berries) and some nuts/seeds as well as alcohol - all in moderation.

However, given the issue with weeks 3 & 4, you might decide you want to stay on Bootcamp. That in itself is no guarantee that you will lose, but at least you know you're being as strict as you can be!

Some people choose a hybrid, which is Bootcamp Light at the weekend, but stay on Bootcamp during the week.

Whatever you choose, just be aware that from here on, we're looking to see a loss of around 1-2lbs per week. Which is a good and healthy loss!

Here's to a good week Flowers

Grand total of half a pound loss! 😂 but it’s a loss! And i’m hoping this marks the end of the pause. Good luck everyone, KOKO

Ampstrong · 29/10/2018 08:08

Any loss is good! Morning Biwi, have updated my loss on spreadsheet 🤞

starsky22 · 29/10/2018 08:18

I've STS but it's my TOTM and I drank on Sat night which led to some carby twatiness, so I've only got myself to blame. I knew these first 2 weeks would be difficult as i had lots of work events and a big party to get through, but they are done now and I've still lost 4lbs, so I'm glad I started. I'm going to do 2 weeks of no alcohol or fruit, but will allow myself a few nuts & seeds.

Collectorofcookbooks · 29/10/2018 08:19

Hope you enjoyed your lie in and thanks for the tip off about the recipe threads yesterday (the cheese sauce was delicious!)

1lb on. I KNOW why, and I’m grateful it wasn’t more! Half term is over, and I’m filled with resolve and have already had my sautéed mushrooms and 2 pints of water.

I am sticking with boot camp and hoping for a loss this week. Back on it.

bluelefant · 29/10/2018 08:24

Popping in to report just over 1lb loss which I am happy with.
Hope to see some great results recorded today.

Chesterfieldsofa · 29/10/2018 08:31

Well a 2lb loss here - it has bugger all to do with dieting but I'll take it. Upset stomach followed by a lot toast and a couple of bananas, couldn't face anything else. Starting again I think today.

Doilooklikeatourist · 29/10/2018 08:34

2lb off 😀
Now 11stone 2 , very pleased

Well done everyone, small losses are still losses and staying the same is better than gaining Smile

I've lost 2.2lbs this week, so 1/2 a stone off in total so far which I'm really pleased about, not looking forward to the potential 3 week stall, but will KOKO!

AveAtqueVale · 29/10/2018 08:40

Just checking in, two weeks late Blush.

Iamnotacerealkiller · 29/10/2018 08:46

sts this week, ate rather a lot over the weekend and was higher fiber the usual too so hopfully just retaining water.

BIWI · 29/10/2018 08:48

If you think you're retaining water, then drink more water!

After a general anaesthetic this week and feeling pretty grim I am pleased to say goodbye to 2 more pounds 😁 Grand total is now 10kgs in 4 months, koko

Rainbowturkey · 29/10/2018 08:56

I decided that I would like to start recording my weight this morning but couldn’t as I still haven’t bought any new batteries for my scales! After my car by meal on Thursday I managed to get straight back into it thankfully!

prettybird · 29/10/2018 09:06

Shagmeriggins - in response to your question about the courgettes in my lasagne: I just thinly slice them on the diagonal, to create oval medallions, so yes, it does include the seeds, but only a small amount per medallion. I'd done the ribbons before, avoiding the central seed core (which I still do if make "tagliatelle" for carbonara), but I saw Tom Kerridge using the medallions in one of his dishes and tried it that way and it worked well Smile

A 2lb loss here! Admittedly, I went up by 1lb last week, but still a downward trend overall. And the jeans feel slightly looser! Will be sticking to the strict bootcamp as far as possible for the next couple of weeks.

LeapinLizards · 29/10/2018 09:34

Morning all. Well, I'm up by a couple of pounds which is to be expected. I'm choosing to draw a line under the poor choices and resolving to make better ones from here on in. Back to the start of BC for me.

adaisy1394 · 29/10/2018 09:36

1lb loss having only started on thurs last week and being VERY lax over the weekend in the interest of not wasting the remainder of my food. Something is better than nothing and I'm delighted!

Ready and raring to go this week, got some Gym classes booked too for extra momentum. Committed to 100% LCB week!

StAlphonzospancakebreakfast · 29/10/2018 10:03

11lb in total (over 4wks) for me though so should look at it like that really!

boldlygoingsomewhere · 29/10/2018 10:04

I’ve had a bit of shrinkage - last week was TOTM and I was massively bloated. Clothes which felt tight last week are nice and loose again.

Kleptronic · 29/10/2018 10:05

I lost half a pound. Yay!

jaxhwc · 29/10/2018 10:28

I've had a terrible couple of weeks but I managed 5.4lb in those two weeks so yay! I'm now very close to a pre pregnancy weight which is a game changer

Tiredofit · 29/10/2018 11:24

3lbs this week which makes 8lb over the two weeks. I’m pleased with that and also pleased that I’ve stayed pretty motivated. I’m planning to stick with bootcamp for another week to try to, at least, not gain.

B. Greek yogurt, coffee with cream
L. Home made mushroom soup (shallots and mushrooms sautéed in butter) with pork scratching croutons
D. Tuna steak, celeriac mash, kale (all made with butter)
S. Coffee with cream

I could do with drinking a bit more water but it’s soooo cold here I’m struggling. I’m managing 2/3 litres but should be nearer 4.

Peaches2018 · 29/10/2018 11:30

Hello everyone and congratulations to all the weight loss and yummy eating!
I've updated the sheet and I hope I've done it the right way. 4 pounds down again and a loss of quite a few inches again.
Not really been active here the last few days (baby troubles with not eating well) but I'm totally going for it stronger this week with some extra exercise Smile
Here's o a great week 3 Flowers

blackteaplease · 29/10/2018 12:26

Morning all, well done on continued losses for those that have stayed on plan.

Sts for me but it was totm last week. I'm staying on bootcamp for another week or two.
