After my disappointing chemical Pregnancy for fet#1 I’m now gearing for fet#2, put my last frostie back, which I think will be just before Christmas making test day at clinic for bloods on around NYE

Starting down reg with buserlin before progynova starts around start of December. Here’s hoping I get a Christmas miracle 🤞🎄

Hi @Kitkat369 I'm starting my second fresh cycle this month. Currently on norethisterone and baseline scan is next week. First round resulted in 2 embies, both were CPs. Are they changing your frozen protocol from last time or keeping the same?

Kitkat369 · 11/11/2019 13:17

Hi Wesstywoo I’m now taking prednisone steroids 6 days and after transfer. Noticed also I’m taking Clexane 5 days before transfer. Previously I took this from day of transfer.

Hi everyone! Im about to start a cycle later this month. It’s day 1 of taking Progynova and have a scan week after next. Although scan was for next Monday it might need to be pushed back due to my period starting a few days later. Is anyone else’s clinic closing over Christmas?

@Ketkins I’m sorry to hear about your mc
Fingers crossed to you all for this round x

Kitkat369 · 12/11/2019 19:14

Hi Jem01, are you down regging or going straight into oestrogen? Just found out today my clinic is closing from 20th dec. my transfer will be few days earlier.

Wesstywoo · 14/11/2019 07:37

@Jem01 my clinic is closing over xmas but all being well I should have had my transfer by then. The norethisterone is making me very dizzy - I've always found it to be the worst of the drugs!! Only 5 more pills to go!

Are you doing a fresh cycle or FET?

41trying · 14/11/2019 22:35

Evening all, I hope you dont mind if I join.
2 failed cycles after EC nothing further.
I previous abandoned cycle.
Af should be next week and I have consultation at a new clinic.

Jem01 · 15/11/2019 07:28

@Kitkat369 I’m going straight on oestrogen and have my scan on 25th Nov. If all goes well I’ll be having the transfer 1st week in Dec (although clinic closes mid Dec)

@Wesstywoo I’m doing a FET and on Progynova and it’s definitely making me feel hormonal, I’m all over the place!

@41trying good luck for your consultation at new clinic

Apart from taking oestrogen is there anything else I should be doing to thicken my uterine lining? Have cut down on coffees and don’t smoke...missing anything else? (At this point is someone told me to do handstands everyday for an hour I would most probably do this too Grin)

spacegirl123 · 15/11/2019 07:46

Hello, I've started my second fresh cycle after a fresh cycle and three frozen cycles. I'm on buserelin daily and just started gonaltrophin (or whatever it's called) xxx

Wesstywoo · 15/11/2019 09:50

@Jem01 I think I've heard drinking plenty of milk helps. Hopefully the progynova will do the trick but if not don't worry, there are other things they can try - I had thin lining during my FET earlier this year so they added estrogen skin patches which fixed the problem!

Welcome new ladies @spacegirl123 @41trying are they changing your protocols from last time? I'm interested to know the approach that other clinics take with subsequent cycles xx

Kitkat369 · 15/11/2019 09:54

Hi 41trying , keeping fingers crossed for you 🤞n your previous cycles were you on long or short protocol?

Hi spacegirl123-is there anything different clinic are suggesting for this round. Fingers crossed all works well🤞

I’m starting my down reg on Sunday 0.5ml of buserlin then scan booked in for two weeks time before going to next stage.

Whilst clinic is closing from 20th the consultant is aiming for my transfer on 19th! Fingers crossed all works out for then. I’ve booked my time off work from 19th until new year. I won’t be able to go to clinic for blood hcg test this time so will have to wait extra days to do urine test at home. If I do test 12 days after transfer think that makes it New Year’s Eve and I’m debating whether I should leave till New Year’s Day, in case it’s a BFN. Don’t mean to be negative just with the chemical we suffered from first frozen at around 6wks Scan was knocked for six and all my plans went out window-guess that taught me a lesson!

Really hope with prednisone I’m taking this time alongside Clexane that’s get a sticky baby.

Thanks all.
I had short protocol first 2 where they only collect the leading folicol. Which neither was mature, so I haven't even had a transfer.
Really disappointed that's why I am changing clinics.
As I have no underlining conditions I think they will do short just more meds, as I was only on natural/mild cycle. I have had 3 children in past but got sterlized. Now been with my husband 13years, but we have no children together, this is reason for going down this route. We are self funding, so if I can get to transfer stage with new clinic, we will most likely only try once, spent so much already.
I'm sure my clinic closes over xmas, so I am hoping AF shows up next week as it should.
I hope everyone is doing ok

fllinn · 15/11/2019 14:53

I didn't see this thread earlier, I'm just starting too. I'm doing mild IVF with Create so first injection tonight and scan on Monday to see what's happening. I'm a total novice. I'm worried about having a scan whilst still on my period, doesn't it get messy?

41trying · 15/11/2019 15:25

@fllinn, I went to create for my previous cycles, now have an appointment next week at another clinic to see what they say regarding my failed cycles

fllinn · 15/11/2019 17:47

@41trying can I ask what meds were you on with create?

Jem01 · 15/11/2019 17:51

@fllinn yes scan can get messy but they are used to it (that’s what I told myself anyway!) my friend speaks highly of create. Good luck for your scan on Monday

@Wesstywoo thanks for the milk tip will give that a go!

41trying · 15/11/2019 18:20

@fllinn I was on 150 Bemfola about 5 days cetrotide 4 days then trigger. Create themselves were great with appointments and calling me back etc. I just think I need a different protocol

41trying · 15/11/2019 18:21

@fllinn it also looks like I took different to you, as I didnt start meds until day5/6 each time, then scan every 2 days

Anaesthetist83 · 15/11/2019 19:22

I’m currently downregulating for first FET. Cancelled cycle in Aug due to OHSS. Scan on Tuesday and hopefully start HRT Thursday 🤞🤞🤞

HJF84 · 15/11/2019 21:29

Hi all!

Joining in here. I'm currently waiting for my lining to get nice and thick for a FET. I had a fresh transfer in October that didn't work, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for round two.

@fllinn I did mild IVF with Create - they have been wonderful.

41trying · 15/11/2019 22:07

@HJF84, can I ask what sort of treatment you had with create?

HJF84 · 15/11/2019 22:43

@41trying of course! I had the three cycle package. Mild IVF. 150 of bemfola then cetrotide. I had this for the first two cycles then they upped it to 175 bemfola for the last cycle.

For my FET I opted for a medicated cycle but my follicles are still growing so they are switching it to natural to try and catch my ovulation.

41trying · 15/11/2019 22:48

@ much similar to me, but started meds on day 5, but once leading egg was to size then I took trigger, so that meant they only collected one egg each time, unfortunately both we immature so didnt get to even try a transfer.
