After my disappointing chemical Pregnancy for fet#1 I’m now gearing for fet#2, put my last frostie back, which I think will be just before Christmas making test day at clinic for bloods on around NYE

Starting down reg with buserlin before progynova starts around start of December. Here’s hoping I get a Christmas miracle 🤞🎄

@Wesstywoo I've have and 18, 15 and 2x 10 on left and the right she thought she could see one.

They considered possible cancellation but discussed with doctor and decided to go ahead! So egg collection Wednesday also!

They said the Im on highest dose of menopur at 300! But know people have had more...so maybe just my clinic!

What size do follicles have to be at this point does anyone know x

Wesstywoo · 02/12/2019 12:49

Well done @WorriedButterfly - good number! Fingers crossed for good fertilisation.

Glad to hear they aren't cancelling @TTCRose - at least one needs to be at 18mm on trigger day so all good!

Kitkat369 · 02/12/2019 12:55

Back from clinic and unfortunately can’t start stims from tomorrow as looks like there’s a flare up and cysts so instead I have to double the dose for buserlin then wait for my next bleed before I go back to scan at clinic. Transfer won’t be until jan now Confused. Was really hoping to transfer back this last frosty before end of year. Consultant said that’s why my period was delayed

Oh ladies the TWW is killing me. I had retrieval Monday last week and 3 day transfer on Thursday. I'm counting the days 😬 I've been given 9th Dec as official test date for my blood test at the clinic. My trigger was Saturday before last. Would that be out my system yet to start obsessing with FRERs?

HJF84 · 02/12/2019 18:55

@Kitkat369 I'm back at work after 5 days off. It was so nice to just chill and relax and be at home. Sorry to hear about this cycle. Think about the positives, it means you can relax a little over the Christmas break and start afresh in the new year.

@fllinn I'm with you there. I'm 5dp5dt and it feels like it's been forever already. My test date is this Friday, a FRER night pick it up? I'm going to test Weds

cake1987 · 02/12/2019 19:03

Thanks HJF84, yeah I hope so. Keeping my finger's crossed for you too xxx

Kitkat369 · 02/12/2019 19:14

Thanks @HJF84, you’re right, I should try relax and look fwd just wanted to get it out the way with hopefully bfp on nye but not in my control I guess. How’s your first day back at office been.

Any hints or tips for egg collection?
Did you have to take anything with you or do anything?

Jem01 · 02/12/2019 19:28

@Yorkshirehope well done for making it to this stage! how did your ET go and when is your test day? Mine is the 12th

@Wesstywoo mine is 12th and I'm going to do everything in my power not to test before then!

@fllinn I had my ET yesterday and already feeling very impatient! But I've been done this road so going to hold out until my test day (12th)

HJF84 · 02/12/2019 19:31

@Kitkat369 It was a long day! I got in early with plans to leave early but that didn't work. I felt myself getting stressed in places, but took some time out to grab a (herbal) tea and some deep breaths and I was fine again.

I also bought myself a lovely chrysanthemum plant on the way home as a little treat - I thought a little self care during this time would be good!

Maybe you could treat yourself to something you hopefully won't be able to have next year, a glass of wine, or soft cheese, or smoked salmon! That's what I'll do if I get a BFN for sure

fllinn · 02/12/2019 19:35

@TTCRose I was completely asleep for all of it so less to stress about. I was allowed to keep on bra and socks, so comforting socks might be nice. Plan to do nothing for the rest of the day and the following day. I got sick from the sedative so was glad of tummy/nausea friendly snacks (salty crisps etc) when I got home. I really wished I'd taken a pillow to sit on in the car on the way home because it was so sore to sit down. Peeing often helped as took the pressure off my sore ovaries I think! And if you're in pain when you wake up, ask for more drugs.

fllinn · 02/12/2019 19:36

@HJF84 Friday isn't long to go now! You're nearly there! Did you test out your trigger?

TTCRose · 02/12/2019 19:39

Thanks @fllinn x

FingersXssd83 · 02/12/2019 19:40

Oh god. Went for my second FET scan today and have to go back on Thurs as my lining is only at 7mm and they think I can get it bigger. That means I'll be looking at a Christmas Day OTD. This will be my fourth transfer (embryos 5&6). Haven't ever had a BFP. Is anyone else testing on or around Xmas day? x

HJF84 · 02/12/2019 19:43

@fllinn It's an FET cycle for me, so I don't need to worry about the trigger shot, as I haven't taken one. Friday seems close and so far away as well

Yorkshirehope · 02/12/2019 20:03

@TTCRose agree with the comments on here. I take a cosy dressing gown and use it as a blanket as I have been chilly after. The only bit that hurt was the sedative going in! Definitely use the rest of the day to chill - you’ll need it. @Jem01 my test date is the 15th. Trying to stay positive this time and think as if it has worked. I tested early last time - it’s a waste of time. Going to try to wait this time.... watch this space 😉

Wesstywoo · 02/12/2019 20:14

@FingersXssd83 IF I get that far I think it will be 23rd but I am usually an early tester! Will you wait until OTD?

Kitkat369 · 02/12/2019 20:24

@HJF84 sounds like it’s been quite a busy day for you, Love the plant idea 🙂. Are you going to test early on Wednesday? Have you been feeling many symptoms? Ldon’t drink, but do love my smoked salmon and had Brie last week ☺️. Couple more weeks of pleasure I’ll enjoy.

@Junipersher so sorry to hear that 😥 take care of yourself and give yourself time before you decide what to do next. It's so hard to put your body through so much xxxx

fllinn · 02/12/2019 21:32

@HJF84 no trigger shot - I don't know how you're not all over the FRERs already!!

Junipersher · 03/12/2019 00:04

Thanks @spacegirl123 . It’s tough isn’t it but tomorrow’s another day. You must be coming to the end of your 2nd fresh cycle? I’m crossing my fingers for you xxxx

spacegirl123 · 03/12/2019 17:28

Thanks @Junipersher yea it's just crap. I'm in my tww of my 2nd fresh cycle, feeling my familiar period cramps, backache etc today so preparing myself for the worst to be honest.

lucyinthe · 03/12/2019 18:45

Hi ladies hoping I can hop on, been following your posts for a while but not posted yet, I'm going in for ET tomorrow afternoon so just looking for some tips from any of you that are in the TWW already?

Really suffering with the cyclogest suppositories at the moment, constant sicky feeling and diarrhoea (sorry TMI!) my clinic said after ET I can switch to using them as pessaries I wonder if that will stop the toilet trouble 😷🥴 I would rather be injecting every day this has been the worst part of the process so far!!

Hope you're all doing ok, sending lots of love for those struggling at the moment xx

Kitkat369 · 03/12/2019 19:23

Hi @lucyinthe and welcome. During my last fet which resulted in BFP (though unfortunately became mmc) I followed below After my ET:-

Did:-
Ate McDonald’s fries-terrible I know!
Warm socks throughout
Bed rest first couple days
I made a batch of food to just heat up before so I wouldn’t have to stand around cooking food.
Drank Pomegranate juice
Chicken bone broth and veg soup
Warm food and drinks only
Lots of rest
Pineapple
Ate Brazil nuts x3 a day
Drank 2ltrs water
Acupuncture before and after transfer
Listened to Zita west ivf visualisation
Walking only
Took a week off as I read first 5 days after transfer are key

I avoided
Stress
Intense exercise-though that went out the window!
Baths

Might sound silly but I bought a special outfit to mark the day too and wore my ivf pineapple pin for extra support and luck.

Good luck with tomorrow hun. Let us know how you get on 👍🏽
