After my disappointing chemical Pregnancy for fet#1 I’m now gearing for fet#2, put my last frostie back, which I think will be just before Christmas making test day at clinic for bloods on around NYE

Starting down reg with buserlin before progynova starts around start of December. Here’s hoping I get a Christmas miracle 🤞🎄

Good day, ladies. Was reading this forum for a while, now, after a second failed egg collection decided to join in as have no one to talk to about it. I am borderline donor eggs candidate due to an advanced age, but decided to try with my own eggs first as the clinic accepted. Not sure if I want to proceed with donor eggs at all. So far I had one cycle cancelled early due to drop in estrogen level, and two premature ovulations/follicle gone between the trigger shot and scheduled egg collection. Second collection cancelled today and feeling very low. Would be great to hear from all, and especially from older ladies (40+) or those who had similar experience. God luck to all trying. Thanks for reading.

41trying · 18/11/2019 17:59

@Oldandsad, welcome. I am in a similar boat. 41, first cycle cancelled due to estrogen levels.
2nd I egg collected immature, 3rd 1 egg collected immature. I was on natural/mild as I have 3 children from previous relationship then got sterlized. Me and hubby would like a child together.
I am trying new clinic wed just to see if they can offer anything different. We are self funded, so think this will be my last try

Oldandsad · 18/11/2019 18:13

@41trying thank you for your reply. I hope your next one will be successful. I am with Create, I read you were with them too? I do not have any children, or a partner, was thinking about IUI/IVF for a few years, but always something more important/urgent got in the way, and now I am too old to conceive (44). Could you share what protocol a new clinic will suggest? Best of luck, 41 is still fine!

41trying · 18/11/2019 18:17

@Oldandsad. On another tread a lady of 45 is in her 2ww, so it still can be done.
Create called the past cycles to see what I wanted to do etc. I haven't had one call this time.
I am hoping for good news Wed, as I really dont want to wait until after xmas

HJF84 · 18/11/2019 20:38

@fllinn Yes, get as many eggs as you can and then hopefully the third cycle you can have a fresh transfer, which I did.

@41trying First cycle was two eggs, second cycle was four and third cycle was six.

HJF84 · 18/11/2019 20:43

@Jem01 Scan for me tomorrow to see if my lining is nice and thick. Hopefully tomorrow will be day zero for me, which means I can have my frozen transfer on Sunday. Sorry to hear about the estrogen side effects. I've got off lightly as I haven't had any issues. I hated being on the progesterone. That made me feel so bloated Confused

pnutbutter · 18/11/2019 20:52

Hi all

Hope you don't mind me joining.
I have 5 frozen embryos from a freeze all in Sept.
We transferred 1 of those on 12th Sept so I am 6dp5dt - no symptoms whatsoever, just waiting out now til OTD on Sun 24th!
X

Jem01 · 19/11/2019 16:49

@HJF84 how did your scan go?
Welcome @pnutbutter and good luck for Sunday will you be testing at home or have a blood test?

Kitkat369 · 20/11/2019 06:36

Hi pntbutter, that’s a good number of embryo you have in freezer, was there a reason they did freeze all? My consultant did freeze all based on my endometriosis and now in round 2 of fet due to chemical last month. Fingers crossed for Sunday 🤞

How’s everyone else doing? I’m on day 4of buserlin, getting bit impatient to get this month out the way so I can have baseline.

Hi all, so I have been to new clinic, I will start bustling on day 21, so this normal IVF so all new to me. She explained everything really well but I have already forgot most of it lol.
Good news is for my ages I have good anti folicol count, so that's a start. Bloods on Tuesday to see what dose they put me on.
Anyone that can give me more info on this process please?

WorriedButterfly · 20/11/2019 13:11

Well done @41trying, glad it went well. Out of interest, do you mind me asking what your count is? I've no idea what is good or bad, but with low a AMH I know it counts.

41trying · 20/11/2019 13:19

@WorriedButterfly they are doing my AMH Tuesday, but on scan today I had 6 on 4ach side day3, so she said it was more than expected for my age.

WorriedButterfly · 21/11/2019 19:57

Hope your scan goes well @41trying.

Did you have yours today @Wesstywoo? I hope it went well. I started menopur tonight - I hope I react better this time.

41trying · 21/11/2019 20:02

@WorriedButterfly, dr called today as they took bloods for AMH Yesterday, I thought they were for something else.
She said level was good so with jave 300 dose stims

41trying · 21/11/2019 20:07

Can anyone tell me that has done down regging was AF on time early or late?

Wesstywoo · 21/11/2019 20:58

Hi @WorriedButterfly hope all is well! Yes scan was fine thanks so I'm starting tonight too. Bit nervous as I'm out of practice with stim injections - I'm sure I'll be fine after the first one! When is your next scan?

Welcome new ladies. How is everyone doing?

WorriedButterfly · 21/11/2019 21:33

@Wesstywoo I hope it goes well, are you taking dexamethasone as well?

Wesstywoo · 21/11/2019 22:11

@WorriedButterfly not this time but have been on the DHEA for several months. How are you finding it?

HJF84 · 22/11/2019 21:44

Evening all!

@Jem01 My scan went well. My lining is almost 10mm so the date for my transfer has been set.

Today is day zero (so back on the progesterone as well as the estrogen 😞) and FET will be Wednesday. We've decided to transfer at day 5 with a frozen 3 day embryo, so we have to hope that it thaws properly and keeps dividing over the two days. I'd rather know before ET if it's going to make it or not. We have a frozen day 6 blastocyst too, so if the day 3 doesn't make it to day 5, we'll use that one instead, although it's not great quality. Keeping my fingers and toes crossed 🤞🏼

Jem01 · 25/11/2019 11:54

Hello all, how is everyone?

I had my scan today - lining is 11mm so all good so far. ET has been set for this Sunday - can’t believe it it’s happening!

Consultant upped my estrogen to x4 a day and from tomorrow will be using the pessaries x2 a day. So many drugs! My jaw almost hit the floor when I collected the prescriptions from the pharmacy - £125! Shock We did NHS funded first cycle and then natural second cycle so it’s crazy seeing cost for drugs is so £££

@Wesstywoo @41trying glad to hear your scans went well

@HJF84 Good luck for Wednesday (what time is your ET?)

How is everyone else doing?

Yorkshirehope · 25/11/2019 14:39

Hello, Joining a little late. I am on my second short protocol after a BFN first time round. On day 10 and after first scan they counted 18 follicles ( I only had 6 last time) Egg collection Wednesday. Nervous / excited all in one.

41trying · 25/11/2019 17:35

Evening all, feels like the days are going so slowly to start this new cycle.
I'm only on day 8 and have to wait until day 21 to start.
I hope everyone is doing ok.

Kitkat369 · 25/11/2019 18:30

Hi ladies, welcome Yorkshirehope, did your clinic give you different protocol to your last? Good luck with your egg collection.

I’m on day 8 of buserlin for down regging and today I have been feeling exhausted that all I have been wanting is to have a snooze 😴. My period hasn’t come yet, hoping it does soon fingers crossed otherwise not sure what to do next.

41trying · 25/11/2019 19:33

@Kitkat369, I am waiting for day 21 so I can start. Do you know how long AF normally takes to arrive and how long etc you carry on taking buserlin?

HJF84 · 25/11/2019 19:38

Evening all!

@Jem01 Great work on the lining! And exciting that you have your ET date. We can be TWW buddies. They haven't told me a time yet, it will probably be in the afternoon or around lunch time. I'll keep the group posted.

I had one of my day 3 embryos thawed today, ready for day 5 transfer. The clinic said they would call me today or tomorrow with news. I'm hoping, seeing as they haven't called me today, that the embryo survived the thaw. No news is good news right?

Welcome @Yorkshirehope! Great news on the follicle count!

@41trying The days are always slow when you want them to be fast. I wish the days would go this slowly when I'm on holiday 😂
