I don't know, I find him a bit odd. I can't imagine she is/was that happy in the relationship if she had an affair. I wonder if her affair was all her fault? He doesn't sound like he's forgiven her in his statement.

It is so repulsive that these are our elected representatives. Sadly so many of ours are like this (although I'm sure not all - Naomi Long seems to be pretty switched on).

I think the boy involved in this should be viewed as the victim of a controlling predatory woman who has abused her position - demanding the money back from him was clearly vindictive.

Glad God has forgiven her though. That absolves her of any moral responsibility.

For info, police cannot force someone to press charges of DV. They take a proactive charging policy towards DV, however, to progress a prosecution without the victim's cooperation requires other independent evidence, such as another credible witness to the assault.

Have they said how she tried to commit suicide?

I thought at first it was just an amusing incident, older woman shagging young blood and then I read a piece in the Guardian. She's actually a nasty piece of work, hypocritical, grasping and mendacious so it's lots of schadenfreude time. As for her quoting from Leviticus about homosexuality the same passage deals with adultery as well. If she had an ounce of decency she would resign immediately and I couldn't care less about her affair it's the venality that is the shocking part.
